What do the Nuggets need this offseason?
Three perfect moves in the off seasonason for the Denver Nuggets so that they don’t waste Nicola Joic’s prime. Between firing their longtime head coach and flaming out early in the playoffs, the Nuggets have a lot of work to do to build a contender around Jokic again. They need to make some wholesale changes. First, I’d try to trade Michael Porter Jr. who has 2 years and $80 million left on his deal. I’d also try to separate his contract into multiple rotation players. A favorite trade of mine would be to send Porter Jr. to the Portland Trailblazers in exchange for Jeremy Grant and Rob Williams. That way, you get two rotation players, get Jokic a legit backup center, and bring Grant back to Denver where he fits in well. The second thing I’d do is extend Christian Brown, who was one of the most improved players in the league this year. He’s also one of the only good young players on the roster, and it should be a priority to keep him long-term. And finally, I’d see if they could use their only unprotected pick available to them in 2031 and attach it to Jamal Murray to try and make an upgrade. There’s no question that Murray and Joic have had a formidable twoman game for a very long time. But Murray’s health and inconsistency is hard to rely on, but the goal here is to upgrade, and they shouldn’t do a trade unless it is to upgrade at that position. But that’ll be tough to do because of Murray’s contract. And if they do all that, then they would have had a perfect off

Finally, a good take.
I'm so over hearing zac lavine trades, trade with lakers and all this bollocks
This trade with trailblazers makes a lot of sense
Move Murray and Porter
Keep MPJ and Murray. Just don't give them max next time. Right now, the best thing they can do is develop their young players. They've got solid players in Strawther, Watson, Tyson, Alexander and even Holmes.
Do you really think Portland wants MPJ? 😅
This the problem Yhu can’t tell mhe dog played basketball a day in his life they just won a chip a year ago with dis team den lost wcf den lost Ina game 7 to the best team in the league wins wise why would they blow up they whole team fa a bunch of role players dats not better then the ones they have now
Go do takes on soccer cuz Yhu don’t kno sht about basketball
They NEED to get rid of MPJ
They need to snag Trae Young
Grant wanted out of Denver to be a starter because he thought he was a star fuck em he can keep being a bum in Portland
Get rid of porter jr for good bench players,
Jeramy Grant ?? Are you serious ?? He is 💩
Murray for wiggins and another role player
Sing CP 3
Mpj for whatever the fk they get
As a thunder fan, I don’t think they need that drastic of changes. They took the Thunder to 7 games. If they can get a couple more dependable players for the bench and a backup center, they’ll be a top 2 seed in the West
The Michael Porter deal is insane no way Portland would agree to that
Problem is there’s not a clear Murray upgrade (luka)
Literally brought the best team in the NBA to 7 games, playing essentially 6 guys. Nuggets will be back in the Finals soon
I have never seen a man so hard-carry a team before, you have to know Jokic took a team with literally no other all-stars to game 7 with the best team in the league.
Calling Robert Williams a legit backup center certainly is a statement
So 1) nuggets didn't flame out early. No finals but def battled OKC. The better team won. Ya can't trade Murray with that contract. Grant wouldn't be a bad pick up but KD would be my target. Only four players are untouchable MPJ is not one of those. Grant would cost more than KCP so that won't work. DEF can't trade a 2031 pick as you have no clue what this team will look like then
trade for holiday- russ mpj 2nd rounder
