Yes. Once Boston went down, once the defending champs went down, there’s still two teams playing. Whoever won in the West after that was the most dominant team. So I feel like that championship was Denver game. Yeah, the Denver game. like whoever is going to win that um they they have to be careful because right now if we’re going to say dynasty right the closest dynasty is now them right because of age contracts and drafts Right. You It’s like having cash backed by gold. They have it. So now it’s trying to figure out who the three. You lose one, it could hurt, right? So if these three are yours, you better talk to them today cuz that free agent market, you got one who just unlocked 300. If he waits the next year, he can sign this year for two something or take the five or go to next year and he’s in threes. I think closer to four, five for 380. Yeah, that kind of hurts these two because so all three of them is free this summer. They can all reup this summer, right? So you got to try to figure out if one of them can some Brunson give me a little Brunson discount and see if you can convince these three to for the the legacy. Do some of that back [ __ ] They will, right? Let me defer. for me to defer a h 100red million for the next 30 years. Some some [ __ ] like that that makes everybody feel comfortable. Um and if but if if you can this is going to be the team to beat in the next Yep. [ __ ] they definitely got a chance to have. And the beauty Yeah. And the beauty about it is nowadays the guys that they would be losing just say they win, right? Guys are going to move on because contract the teams want because they winning, right? Mhm. The way the college landscape is now, you can go in a draft and get a older guy that’s ready to play right now. So it ain’t like going Oklahoma City. So, so it ain’t like you going and draft a 18y old kid, 19 year old kid that ain’t like a freshman now that you we don’t know if he going to be able to play right now. You going to draft a 25 year old [ __ ] right now. He ready to play. How how a lot of them kids they they draft they of trust me they older than half your roster right now. They plug and play guys in college right now. So the beauty of you said they got 20 draft picks at least 20 that that protector pick 20 draft picks over the next 5 years. So they they not going to miss a beat in my mind. No matter if they lose guys cuz you you win it this year, they go out and do what they supposed to, they win it this year, you come back the favorites next year because you and then you start this plug and play system that how fast it could go. Two first round picks each of the next three drafts. Huh? See how fast it Okay, Boston won and they out. But but that but no but it’s okay. But now but listen, you could do like the Warriors. They lost and then they came back with But they don’t even have they don’t need to they don’t need to do anything. I mean the only thing that messes them up is these contracts right here because two of them are still on rookie deals. You can get rid of Harrison like Yes. Two of them are still on rookie deals. So Jaylen Williams not eligible for real. Get rid of Jaylen Williams. Jaylen Williams not eligible for a 5year $300 million deal. 296 million. The only thing that breaks them up is contracts. That’s the only thing that breaks them up is contract. So if they figure that part out, that’s the most important part, figuring the contract part out. And then from there, any of those picks with anybody who can possibly be a one, two, or three pick in the next two, three years, who can get like any of those first round protected? So, can they [ __ ] around, win a championship, and get a number one pick somehow from somebody? They have pick swaps and stuff still on the table. So, yeah. So there’s possibilities that they can win. Package these picks together. No, but I’m saying is there’s possibilities that they can win a championship like the Laker didn’t get the number one pick. So during the season uh we heard people like Draymond Green criticize the squad say they were too buddy buddy. He wasn’t really a fan of all the postgame interviews and camaraderie. Uh, but do you think the criticism of OKC’s college like togetherness were premature? Yeah, of course. I mean, you know, because there’s only been a few ways we were taught on how you supposed to win the championship, right? It’s, you know, um, it’s supposed to be a certain way, iron fist rule. And, you know, they’ve shown that you can have fun. Y’all can like each other. Y’all can be silly. Get it done and whoop ass. When you lose, smile it off and come back and whoop ass. So yes, it was be because of for 40 years it was like yesterday besides Showtime, but we wasn’t really, you know, cuz I’m pretty sure Showtime was a fun environment. Um, a lot of fun. Okay. Now, I’m pretty sure after this championship, you going to start seeing a lot of [ __ ] skipping along down the yellow brick road type of teams because they shown that, hey, coach, a we don’t need to be like y’all, right? We don’t need to be angry and sitting here sitting here. We lost and we Yeah, turn that [ __ ] music off. We ain’t got to do that. we can let we can really let this [ __ ] go and get ready for the next game mentality. So, we talked about the playoff inexperience of this team and how that might be detrimental in this postseason, but they go seven with Denver, win that series, get 42 pieced by the Wolves in game three, like you said, laugh it off. Jaylen Williams saying, “Shit, I lost a game by 60 before, so this ain’t, you know, it could always be worse.” But follow that up. Big win in game four in Minnesota. Hold on to get that one. And then obviously this one I want to say was their third or fourth 30point win this postseason which is a record. So they’re putting I think everybody I think everybody knew the Wolves was going to get their ass whooped this last I then we said that yeah I know I quit watching going on the road. You’re down 3-1. Yeah that that that that sounds like you know what it’s easier to just lose this game. I can be on vacation by Saturday. So if I lose tonight, I do my exit meeting today, I’m on vacation Saturday. A few have their minds in Cancun already. A few of those players who are kind of swinging states, don’t know which way to go. You go down 26-9. End of the first quarter. Score nine points total in that game with six. When it was 11 when it was 73, 113, game over. Yeah. When that [ __ ] was 3 nothing and then they didn’t score again for me. I’m like, “Yeah, it is.” Yeah. Game over. But at 3 nothing, you’re like, “Are we no like that’s what I said. It’s it’s now now we up three.” Now for teams that have came back 3-1, right? You have to give real credit to those teams that they was engaged mentally enough, right, to actually win game five just would just win game five. That that is the that is the real one. Winning game five is the real one. And I I want to know now out of the 13 teams that won where was game five because it’s easier to win it at home because it’s your your home. I want to know how many was back back to the Thunder their team camaraderie and just the future of this franchise. Do you think other guys around the league are looking at this team because you guys have previous said OKC not the most desirable destination to play in. I think we can all agree on that. But other guys are looking at this team and again, you talked about some of those guys having to take pay cuts amongst their big three, but other older stars are looking at the squad saying, “Damn, I would take a pay cut to be a part of that environment.” Um, yeah. No. Um, going Oklahoma City, I don’t know. That’s why they got to do it through the draft. Um, no, it’s just you. That don’t mean you knew. Smart man, G. That would mean they play half. Just you had a hunch, [ __ ] All right. But when you see a team like this winning environment, guys look like they truly enjoy playing with each other. Do you take a certain kind of guy though that Right. So you said it from afar. It take Yeah. They they are young man. So they they built something together [Music] and bring somebody that’s established already into that as a free agent. It’s tough. Yeah. I think but to do it through the draft where you got to come in and buy in I think is the is the smart move. Easier easier. Um unless you go get a guy like Kevin Durant but other than that. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I mean I mean and also whoever coming in they got I’m not looking on my you know they they you know [ __ ] [ __ ] they go as he go. So, I just feel like with that culture that they’re building too, like you just said, man, I I’ll just probably get somebody out the draft. But if it’s not like a KD or somebody you could just, you know what I’m saying, just put, you know, put in position to be successful, then what about somebody like Russ player option? Uh, future uncertain. Who? Russ. But just no personality. Very low. Just personality though. It’s that’s going to be a bigger That’s I think that’s KD more fitting for that. It’s cuz KD just want to hoop. Yeah, it’s just about hooping, right? So, not to say it’s not that for Russ, but it’s just the attention for both of them is extreme, but it it’s just the negativity that people tend to throw at Russ will start to creep his ugly head in, I think. So, to whatever degree, I think he good. Yeah. Would you go get uh Katie and Steven Adams? No, man. Bring them both back. No, you got them die. game. Let them die. Just old bet. Just if I win.
