I've watched a few games from Tre now, and I agree. Hell of a player. Curious what you'd think of Miles Byrd after watching him. I think he could easily be a steal if we got him at 21
If philly wants markkanen for George and 3rd, don't do stupid things and do it.. it's a no brainier.. why waste Lauri's prime when I can waste what's left of PG and get the 3rd pick.. that's an EASY choice. Damn.. give philly 21st to make that deal.
Pg sucks. Markannen is a top 15 player. The Jazz really just needed to get Flagg. I wouldn’t trade for Lillard, Giannis, PG, Durrant or any other older player. Mark is legit good in his prime. Unfortunately, he is too good to help the Jazz tank. But even if they got the number one pick, they would need an all star like Markannen to pair with. The answer is to just luck into the number one or two pick next year. Trading Mark for 4 unprotected first rounds and 3 pick swaps would be acceptable. But the Jazz just traded away all of the Cleveland picks they got for Mitchell for a worthless Phoenix pick. Phoenix could be the best team in the league that year and the unprotected pick might be awful.
What about Markannen for the number 2 pick in the draft from the Spurs and some change? The Spurs already have Deaaron Fox, right? Fox and the number 2 pick of Dylan Harper have a redundant skill set. Dylan Harper is no Lauri Markannen but the Jazz obviously don’t want to play Lauri. I would rather keep Lauri but Harper might be more on the Jazz’s timeline. All teams could use a stretch 4 like Lauri and it might speed up the Spurs competitiveness while they have Victor on his rookie contract.
The draft is overhyped in the NBA. Ainge is using an outdated model to build his roster. Look at how the final 4 teams were built

I like Edgecomb because of his raw athletic talent and he plays defense. I think Ainge will go for Edgecomb… and he's international. We do well with international players.
Kon Knueppel was overshadowed by Flagg all year and is a underrated player for having Flagg on the team with him, I would take Kon Knueppel at number 5 and be happy .
A trade makes zero sense unless you can get to two because who do you pick at three? Even if we get to three Ace Bailey is a terrible fit for the Jazz so might as well keep 5. Also do you really think the spurs will let go of a #2 pick for Mark and our pick? No way.

Paul George is the better player, he's better on both ends. But he's not healthy so they have to attach a pick AGE & INJURY is why.

Not a Jazz fan, but Tre Johnson would be a great pick. Tre Johnson, Markkanen and Kessler would be a good foundation. Still missing that #1 alpha though.

Don’t trade for shit. You got screwed out of your rightful top 3 draft pick already. Obviously Utah is not in Adam Silver’s long term global NBA plan. Abandon ship and just hope a team run by some Europenises will be willing to pay for the Jazz franchise name at some point. I would say try to give it back to the poor New Orleans fanbase, but once global NBA happens, they’re going to be just as fu*ked
No trades needed, just draft Tre at the 5th pick if you can, simple enough, no need for a 30 minute video
PG is probably better than Lauri in a vacuum but the age factor and injury factor matters. I don’t see a trade that happens and doesn’t involve swapping 5
Lauri is our best player. A 7 footer who can shoot outside and go inside and is insanely strong.
