But this trade would see the Toronto Raptors receiving Giannis Antakmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks receiving RJ Barrett, Emanuel Quickley, a number 25 ninth overall draft pick, the 39th overall draft pick, and a 2028 first round draft pick. So, this trade’s actually pretty decent, especially from a Raptors perspective. If if you’re able to acquire Giannis and all you’re able to give up is a couple first round draft picks, second round draft pick, RJ Barrett, and Emanuel Quickley, this is a pretty damn good deal if you ask me. Like having a big three next year of Giannis, Scotty Barnes, and Brandon Ingram. There’s some injury concerns of course with Brandon Ingram, but that’s really, really, really solid. And especially with how wide open the East is in my opinion next year, uh with Tatum, you know, getting down to that injury, the Raptors all of a sudden are making this deal. they could be like a top three or top four team in the entire Eastern Conference. And if they, you know, come playoff time, we saw what happened with Kawawaii back in 2019, I believe that’s when the Raptors won if I’m not mistaken. Like they could be one superstar player away from winning a championship and Giannis would love it here in Canada. Uh the nation, the entire country would go behind him. I think Giannis would be a tremendous fit. I do believe there is some sort of connection as well with Messiah. So, I think Giannis coming to to Toronto isn’t as far-fetched as it may be elsewhere. But, if Giannis is made available, let’s be real here. Other teams can outbed the Raptors, no questions asked. So, if you’re the Milwaukee Bucks, I think you’d have to get back Scotty Barnes like as a starting point. In this case, you’re getting back RJ Barrett, IQ, like two pretty solid players, but nowhere close to Giannis’s uh ability in my opinion or his value. a first round draft pick this year, a first round draft pick in 28, but with Giannis on the team, that’s nothing crazy.
