Why Boston Doesn’t Have To Trade Jaylen Brown

The Boston Celtics’ title defense ended with the team – and its best player – limping out of the 2025 playoffs. Jayson Tatum’s devastating Achilles injury changed everything for Boston, throwing the franchise’s future into doubt while shifting the entire league’s balance of power.

So, what now for the Association’s most successful team?

  1. They pull a 2018 Boston and screw their star player by trading him when injured

  2. Jrue Holiday is declining and is not on a team-friendly deal. He is owed upwards of $32 million, $34 million and $37 million for the next three seasons respectively. Hard to move his contract unless you attach a first.

  3. As a Cs fan, just be competitive. This would attrack some players to sign. Especially that 2026 Free Agency might be top heavy.

Get a damn Center already. When JT returns, don't force him to play the 4
