How the Kings DESTROYED Their Own Franchise

This NBA franchise might have made one of the worst decisions in NBA history. So, the Sacramento Kings are the definition of mediocrity. But what if I told you they could have potentially had two superstars right now? Back in 2018, during the NBA draft, the Kings made the decision to draft Marvin Baggley over Luca Donuch, who was taken just one pick later. The Kings would end up moving on from Baggley less than four seasons into his career. while Donuch went on to become one of the faces of the NBA. Or what about the time when the Kings dealt Tyrese Hallebertton to Indiana to acquire Demodus Sabonis to help build around De’aran Fox? Well, just a few years later and the Kings traded De’aran Fox to San Antonio for pennies on the dollar and Sabonis’ future in Sacramento is extremely murky. However, on the other side of the deal, Indiana’s reached back-to back conference finals and have an established top 10 player in the NBA with Tyrese Hallebertton. The Sacramento Kings have been in basketball purgatory for what feels like forever.

  1. Not “what feels like forever,” literally for the entire NBA. They’re the oldest team in the league and they’ve never been to the finals. You could sell them for a half eaten pack of peanuts
