MJ’s advice to Jamal changed his game

MJ’s advice to Jamal changed his game

I had the fortune to play against Michael Jordan in his last All-Star game. I always knew Michael Jordan was great, but when I chatted with him and he was able to break down my game analytically, Jamal, you like to go left 80% of the time, pull up with the right hand and different things like that. But then he gave me a solution. Go right two or three times in the game. And then gave me a a story. He said, “Dr. J and Larry Bird pass something down to me to play the game within the game.” He was like, “Well, in the game sometimes I’m not just going to score. It’s how I’m going to score.” So Jamal, if you go right two or three times in the game and you make a pull up jump shot or whatever it is, you’re balancing out your game, you’re keeping the defense off balance. And this man went through every Allstar and chatted about what their strength and weakness off the top of his head. probably six or seven games after the All-Star break, I implemented that.

  1. I’ll be interested to see how MJ does on NBC next season, because he’s a wealth of knowledge. I know he’s going to have something to say, about these analytics driven teams that jack up 3s all game.

  2. The difference between MJ and Kobe is spoken thru the words of these pros.

Kobe studied and refined tirelessly with no breaks

MJ studied and refined tirelessly thru golf thru mind games thru gambling he and he never shut that off whereas Kobe turned it off off the court

  3. Learning weaknesses was one of the factors in why he played on the ‘92 Dream Team. He wanted to be teammates with those guys to practice with them everyday to learn their weaknesses on how to beat them in the future.

  4. It’s funny seeing MJ greet Yao. I read a book that Yao Ming wrote when I was in grade school.. he was a HUGE fan of US stars like Hakeem Olajuwon n MJ. Im sure he died inside when Jordan approached him.

  5. Its funny this clip just showed up. This is they heyday of B-Ball. The game sucks now. Honestly, Caitlin Clark is the only stand out in men or women's. In the NBA, for every great player, there are 5 others, if not more. Its boring. In an inside game. Carries drive me insane, missed called, HORRIBLE calls. Players that worry more about looking like a gay model in silk and gaudy jewelry.

  6. Balance is just that! Your left must coincide with your right and vice versa. That makes you harder to guard when you have near perfected both! So this makes perfect sense because that how I was taught!🫡🫡🫡✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

  7. Crazy part I tell ppl what they're doing wrong and how to make it affective I'm not the best but I understand the game if that makes sense

  8. I WONDER WHAT PLAYERS CAN LEARN FROM LEBRON 😂

SOMETHING LIKE, JAMAL, YOU FLOP 80% OF THE TIME BACKWARDS WITH YOUR CHIN GOING UP, HEAD BACKWARDS. TRY FLOP 50% OF THE TIME SIDEWAYS AND SAY "AAARGH" 30% OF THE TIME AND YOU WILL GET A FOUL WITHOUT ANYONE TOUCHING YOU EVERY TIME

  9. u learn that very quickly when u try hard in poker… balancing your game is gto, u gotta polarize

  10. Respect , the way of MJ . 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🐯🐯🐯🐯🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏆🏀🏆🏆🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊💯💯💯💯💯🦾🦾🏀🏀🏀🏀🐯🐯🐯🏀🏀🏀🙏🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🙏🙏💪💪.

  11. Keep it coming especially the ball player that really experience play with him or against him my favorite ball player ever cool know how to speak well

  12. Too Bad MJ does not Teach That to Jason Tatum.
Guy takes 45 Foot 3pointers and settles 70% of the time.
Complete Low IQ Scorer with One Sided Game = Easily Defeated.

  13. Wish Jamal would comeback to UK in some capacity! Just so the fans could show him how much he’s appreciated! He meant so much to UK! Pitino said he speed up the rebuild by 10 years!
Always be the most important cat of my lifetime
