The Pacers have a shot at HISTORY…

You know what’s crazy? If the Indiana Pacers hold on to make the NBA Finals, I think they would be the most unlikely finals team in NBA history. So, let’s start with the contenders cuz the 81 Rockets had a losing record. But they also had a guy named Moses Malone. You could obviously throw the 99 Knicks in there when they made the finals without Pat Euing, but that was a lockout season and the East was just so weak. The O2 Nets also weren’t great in that like post Jordan era of the East, but they won 52 games and Jay Kidd was second in MVP. I really think the only comp is the 2023 Heat, but even that team had way more playoff success going into that season. But don’t forget, this Pacers team was also the eight seed as recently as like January. Nobody in their starting lineup was a top 10 pick. And their best player was literally voted the most overrated player in the league like a month ago. Here’s my point. If you had told me two months ago that KSH’ be giving these guys a 65% chance to win the East, I wouldn’t have believed you. And that’s what makes this such a cool

  1. They are the 4th best team in the league since January 1st record-wise. Me and other Pacers fans knew this team is legit even before the playoffs started.

  2. Smth I just find funny is that it seems a lot of the NBA community is praying on the pacers and Halis downfall, where as we were dickridding the Heat and glazing the hell out of Jimmy

  3. The Pacers have 50 wins, no member of the heats starting lineup had been to Conference final yet.
Siakam has a ring, the entire pacers roster has at least been to the ECF, so idk what the fuck you’re talking about

  4. If you followed this team at all, you knew they were going on a run. When they dog walked the Bucks I knew they meant business. When they did the same to the Cavs I knew they were winning the east

  5. Are they the biggest Cinderella? No. They made the conference finals last year and they had a winning record against the west this year. I personally believed they were the 2nd best team in the East coming into the playoffs.
Would it be a major surprise? Yes. Especially since there was 3 60+ win teams including the reigning champs and one of the most dominant regular season teams of all time. They would also become the first team since the ‘95 Rockets to win a championship without a player who made All-NBA first team or second team. If they make the finals they’d be the 5th team to make the finals without an All-NBA first or second team player since 2000 (2000 Pacers, 2005 Pistons, 2010 Celtics, 2020 Heat).

  6. Miami almost did it 2022 if that Jimmy shot goes in cuz lets face it they weren’t beating the Lakers or the Nuggets.

  7. The Heat Team In 2023 Is Fucking Overrated Streamrolled thru a weak Eastern Conference Just To Get Embarrassed By The Denver Nuggets ASS!

  8. Not to brag but I guessed Pacers vs. Wolves finals when the playoffs started (Sorry for being a clown 🤡 I know you want to punch me 🤡🤡🤡🤡)

  9. At the beginning of the season i bought a pacers jersey and a okc thunder jersey and bet my friends the jerseys that the nba finals would be Pacers and thunder 🤣🤣🤣🚡🚡🚡

  10. The 1999 Knicks were a complete shock. They beat the #1 Seed Miami Heat on a miracle shot and then Patrick Ewing gets hurt and they somehow played way better with Marcus Camby.

  11. okay this is a bad take, this is now back to back ecf for the Pacers and Haliburton. this team is one of the best teams these last couple of years, theyll be remembered similar to jimmy's heat and they will be remembered as a really good playoff team, not a cinderella
