But this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Walker Kesler and the Utah Jazz receiving Xavier Tilman a 2026 first round draft pick and a 2031 first round draft pick. So my immediate thoughts are is that this is actually a pretty solid trade for both teams. Uh the Boston Celtics want to be competitive despite the fact that Jason Tatum will most likely miss the entirety of the 202526 campaign and I think adding a player like Walker Kesler addresses help in the short term but also to the long term and he kind of sticks with this theme of the Celtics remaining competitive in this Jaylen Brown Jason Tatamera. So I know there’s going to be a lot of potential movement moving forward for the Celtics. I think players that come to mind would be Porzingis, Drew Holiday, potentially even like a Derek White in regards to them, you know, limiting their payroll because in this case, obviously, they’d be adding to it. But I just think it makes a lot of sense for the Celtics, especially if they’re going to be getting back some draft capital elsewhere. Bet on yourself. Like, this franchise is awesome, and the East is pretty weak next year. So, a 2026 first round draft pick, despite Jason Tatum, it’s a bit of a gamble, don’t get me wrong. Um, but this team is probably a playoff team, so I wouldn’t worry too much about that. And if the band stays together, which all signs point towards it probably doing at this point, a 2031 first round draft pick, it’s obviously a bit of a risk as well, but this team could have a tremendous score for the foreseeable future. So, I actually like it for the for the Boston Celtics Walker is a very valuable player. Um, he’s a very talented player and he’d be a future centerpiece for this team for the long time, especially too if they get rid of um, as I mentioned before, Kristoff Sportzing. So, if for the Utah Jazz, Xavier Telman, of course, not a bad player to get back getting back the most value. And what’s most intriguing here is those two future first round picks. You can bank on this case of maybe the Celtics getting injured next year and maybe they’re terrible. Maybe they have a reset year and that draft picks awesome. Maybe in 2031, Tatum asked for a trade or whatever. You never know what’s going to happen six years down the road. So, why not pull the trigger if you are a rebuilding team? So, I like to trade a lot for both teams. If I had to pick a winner, I’d probably still side with the Celtics. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
