What’s the BEST uniform the Cleveland Cavaliers ever wore?

Welcome back. We’re talking uniforms. Uh, let’s start with the Cavs. Mike, you’ve got all the Cavs uniforms, a lot of the Cavs uniforms. We’re gonna pick because they’ve changed so many, which is our favorite? Yeah, we’ll run through these real quick because I know we only got a couple of minutes, but the first option is the Cavs jerseys from the mid 70s to early 80s. These were the yellow and red with a little bit of flair on the side. The next option, 83 to 87, the Cavs went to the orange and white uniforms from 87 to 90. Before the Cavs went more to be blue and white, similar to the Knicks but a little different. Next up ’94 to ’97, they went with the black light blue and white with a tint of orange in there. After that they moved on 2003 to 2010. Those are the LeBron era. Then next up from 2012 to 2017, they wore the yellow and blue 17 to 22 they went back to the more initial they added a alternative. And the current uniforms, they have the same colors, different style, but out of those guys, which do you think is the first of all, — is
— there a team that’s changed their uniforms and color schemes more than the Cavs? Oh, I think a lot of them do. Really, the NBA is the color scheme only changed really from the 80s back to the. They’ve only been wine and gold and blue and orange, really. It’s been the blue yeah yeah they all do that, but they’ve used orange, black, blue, maroon, gold. Uh, you know, they do a good job of uh intermixing uh a non-neutral color like a regular black. We’ve been asking the Browns for years. Hey man, y’all might wanna give you a gray or black jersey, but then they’re like, then you would be the Bengals, right? So, it’s hard to find a neutral color to match with it. My favorite Cavs was the, the 80s, the blue and orange, I think just for sentimental reasons, I think mine was those are the teams I grew up on. Mark Price, Brad Doherty, those teams were hot Rod Williams. Thoseetitive. Those those Tyrone Hills is terrible. The Tyrone Hill was bad. That was a bad team that had Phils, Mill, and Hill, but I like the crew sickle jersey with Bob Searl. I like those. Wan’t there a Philbin in there too, uh, — what is was there a Philbin

— Bobby yeah, but I, what didn’t it at some point we had a guy last name of Philbin, maybe not. I think my imagination. I, I, I listen, I liked, I like the long sleeve jerseys, uh, because they one of them, the t-shirts, the t-shirt. That that LeBron, uh, had to rip up that he would always cut his joints like I, I like those, but what I like the, you know, I like the city editions. — We that they got the gray City
— editions. Yeah, I do too. I like those. Those weren’t on the list. Yeah, those were, they were in with the current era. — It’s a specialty
— jersey, — if you
— had to pick one color scheme, it’s easy. I’m going with Guardians. I love the red, — white and
— blue. I like the red, white and blue too, but I kind of, the more we talk about it, I like the wine and gold in football. I think that would be. A great look I think you could do a lot with again you go back to USC look at USC football, it’s more of a maroon than a wine, but it’s close.

If we keep it real, the best uniform the Cleveland Cavaliers ever wore has to be the navy blue alternate from the LeBron-era mid-2000s — the one they rocked in the 2007 NBA Finals. That jersey had everything: the deep navy base, the crisp wine-and-gold trim, and that classic sword-through-the-C design that screamed toughness and legacy. It wasn’t flashy — it was gritty, blue-collar, and straight Cleveland. That jersey represented a team that clawed its way through the East with a young King James putting the city on his back. Ask any real Cavs fan, and they’ll tell you — that look was different.

Yeah, the orange-and-blue ‘90s fits had nostalgia. The “Earned” black and gold jerseys from the 2016 title run? Iconic moment-wise, no doubt. But if we’re talking best design, best feel, and most Cleveland, that 2007 navy speaks loudest. It wasn’t about looking pretty — it was about earning respect. And that uniform symbolized the moment the Cavaliers really arrived on the national stage. That’s why it’s still the coldest they’ve ever worn.
