Scottie Pippen highlights | Portland Trailblazers vs Los Angeles Lakers Game 5 | May 30, 2000
the playoffs. Kobe Bryant with the fadeaway and Pippen comes over to block it. Kobe Bryant into heavy traffic. Ball knocked loose. Dontomire’s got it. Pitman to the front court with him and Scotty finishes. Sabonis again misses the three. Pippen flies in and rebounds. Follows and scores. That’s a great effort. Wallace again against AC Green and a tip by Scotty Pippen. Foul at the other end was Harper’s second and Kemp takes it to the hole after the Blazers inbound. He scored eight. He’s disgusted because he didn’t get a foul call on top of it. He wanted the three-point play. Well, they’re going right at Kobe. They’re Steve Smith with a flip to Scotty Pippen. Scotty on the move against Kobe. Could have been a three-point play at the time for the Lakers. Scotty Pippen with a remarkable shot. Scotty Pippen takes it home. And let’s see if the basket’s going to count. And meanwhile, over on the Portland bench, they’re looking at Scotty Pippen, who had a big first quarter. And here come the Lakers. Taken away from him by Pippen. It’s one two. And it was touched last by the Lakers. Pippen suffered an injury to his left hand. He dislocated the ring finger of his left hand. He has since been putting ice on it, but he will return in the game. Watch him now as he has come back from getting his hand hurt. He has not taken a shot from the field, but more importantly, I’ve seen him mishandle the ball three times in this period. Normally, Scotty does not not make those kind of errors. That three becomes an insidious thing. Oh, Kobe Bryant slices through and lost it. Good by Scotty, though. He looked up at the clock. He said, “Let’s get the last shot.” Scotty’s got to get it away for three. Oh, how big is that? His first shot of the period. He buries a three. What a momentum here. Fingers. I understand you dislocated both your fingers. Two fingers on your left hand. Yeah, I dislocated them on that layup that they uh gave me the charging foul on which, you know, I I felt like he he was inside the uh dot, but you know, the pitcher makes the call and they’re not going to change it. Steve Smith up top to Pippen for three just before the horn and another dagger from Scotty Pippen. Two in a row. Pippen spins into the paint and hits that little hook. Now remember at the end of game three, Scotty Pippen got very aggressive. If Kobe’s going to play him, you got to go to Pippen. He tried to find Grant and Harper, always an alert defender, steals it. And Pippen, another great defender, knocks it away at the other end. Great hustle. You see Scotty Pippen saying, “Don’t foul him, Steve.” Good communication there. And look how he fills up a box score. He has 22 points, six rebounds, three assists, and six steals.
Scottie Pippen scores 22 points adding 6 rebounds, 6 steals, 4 blocks, and 3 assists playing with two dislocated fingers to help the Blazers stave off elimination against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals, May 30, 2000.

It's great to have you back posting on YouTube again 👍🏻 Hope to see a lot more.
How many players these days would play with two dislocated fingers? They sit out for a lot less. That hand must have looked jacked up the way Derek Fisher reacted when he saw it 😂
