NBA LIVE! Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers | June 2, 2025 | Game 1 NBA Finals Live 2K

[Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] the bases. Well, we know this is everything they worked toward, Greg. The adjustments in the off season have really paid off. And it’s a well-run organization from top to bottom. They know who they are. They play to their strength. That’s why they find themselves here with an opportunity to win it all in the NBA finals. I like what you said. They know who they are. Play within those two. Here’s the starting group for the Indiana Prisons. Albertton in the back court. Nemo to his target. Seaken is the four and he’ll be next to Turner at the five and it’s Matarin in at the small four. And looking to get stronger fights through the ball. Tons of time to throw into [Music] that seak against Homer. Albert screen on Homer. Seaka for three. A rebound by Gus Alexander. About a minute played so far here in the first. That’s no good. Misses his first shot of the night. And has got the ball here for the Indiana Pacers. Seakum outside. Albert in a screen on home gets it to go from beyond the arm. Well, you can see he is not shy from range and Pascal Seakum continues to work on his consistency. Here’s Alexander. The Pacers pulling in. Well, we love his ability to attack the rim. He just loses a little bit of focus and misses the chipping. Basket counts. Yeah, give Hallebertton credit for staying with the play. You’ve got to be able to fend off that defense and still finish. David Aldridge had a chance to catch up with head coach Mark Doltz. Uh David, what did he say? We talked about Benedict Matan, their confident wing. Coach said guarding Matan is a challenge. He’s got that it factor. We’ve told our guys who are defending him, you have to try to match his intensity. He’ll eat your body. Checking Benedict. Never height. Kevin, thank you David. First trip to the line for him here. [Applause] That’s good from Hallebertton. I think if you’re talking Tyrese Hallebertton, the thing that stands out is the wealth of things he can do on the offensive end. He can shoot the ball with range. He’s got unbelievable handle. He can create. He can drive it. He can also set up his guys. A lot to like. He’s perfect from the line this time. An efficient night from the line. This is a guy who puts in the work and it pays dividends. Here’s Gilas Alexander and the Dunk by Kil. The leg of SGA. Get off your feet, young fella. Smash Albert. Rebound goes for the Thunder. Boy, a wide open shot from his favorite spot. That is one he’d like to have back to the inside. Hardershine and the dump by Hardenstein. Well known for being a terrific passer. He shows you right there. Case in point. Siakum passes to turn to the [Applause] paint. Here’s Nemo. It’s good. He makes his first shot of the game. Well, the versatility he possesses makes him a very tough cover, guys. And now Dagno calls timeout here. Looking for a breather and maybe just one or two things to talk [Applause] about. [Applause] Heat up here. [Applause] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Applause] Let’s take this chance now to show you the list of the postseason scoring leaders. Shay Gilgis Alexander third and he’s taken off on a tremendous scoring streak at the perfect time. I mean obviously he’s established himself as a premier playoff performer. We’re about 3 minutes into this first quarter. Outside [Applause] Torch Gilas Alexander against Hallebertton Gil just Alexander good Alexander that threele scoring ability that time worked in the mid-range the memo first quarter we’re about 3 and 1/2 minutes inside. He’s against Hardenstein and a lot of contact on that one. So, he’ll shoot two here. Well, how about the ability to get that defender to bite on the pump so effective at getting guys to the pace two for two in the game of the line. [Applause] And the first one at the line is good. Well, the athleticism that Miles Turner brings to the center spot is quite remarkable. This guy an exceptional player on both sides of the floor. [Applause] [Applause] And that’s good as he hits both of his shots. They’re trailing by [Applause] three. Gildas Alexander passes to Williams. Out to Gildis Alexander. Gilis Alexander controls the rebound and puts it back up and in. a flat out bulldog in the paint. Great job to follow his own shot there and get the rest. Now here is Hallebertton hands it from downtown. Hallebertton’s got seven points in the game. Allebertton a huge part of this offense which is why he has the confidence in this catch and shoot situations. No hesitation. Williams with a clean look. The shots good Alexander making the play. Come at us and we’ll come right back at you. And you would expect nothing less from these two taking pride in making plays. Now here’s Siaka over Heidenstein. Siaka misses and this is a shot he can definitely make and the defense not a factor at all. Homerren kicks to Gilis [Applause] Alexander. Pass to Homer. A three. The rebound by Hallebert. And even without that three ball dropping for him should have done more on that last play. Sian misses. Let’s give some credit to the defense for how they’re guarding this guy right now because they’re refusing to let him get comfortable. Williams against Matin and they call the foul. So, he’s got the and one chance here to make it a three-point play. Yeah, I mean Jaylen Williams got as great a basketball frame as you could hope for. That’s strength right there. Oklahoma City shooting their first free throw tonight. team foul at the line for your Oklahoma City. William shot and that one falls for Williams. I mean, Jaylen Williams is a guy who a lot of people are excited about. He has the talent to be an multi-time allstar and perhaps an even higher ceiling than that. And Rick Corw decides to call timeout. He’s ready to talk things through with the team. [Applause] Come on, man. [Applause] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat up [Applause] [Music] here. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Here’s Siaka. Hallebertton outside. Teardrop shot. And that’s two points on the layup. Nine points for Tyresese Hallebertton. Boy, it seems like every shot he puts up, it’s going in. This guy is hot. Hot. Williams passes to Homer. from outside off the mark and he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage but they can’t count on him to continue missing. Boy, what a clever decision there by Pascal. Seattle sticks with the shot and wins a trip to the free throw line. The Pacers have looked good at the line. They’re perfect in four shots. That free throw no good. I think the value of Pascal Siaka is the skill set on both ends of the floor. He can play multiple positions either end and he can lift his team in any number of ways. and he sinks the second. One of the things that we’re watching happen with Pascal Seakum is the willingness to accept more and more responsibility both from a leadership and a productivity standpoint guys and it has been something else to watch that growth and just Alexander throws it down. Some power coming from the PG. Ah, that’s right. GA seeing more and more of that these days. Back court guys who can elevate. We know versatility is huge in this game. Just a tremendous job finishing that play. Wow. And so here is Indiana following the score by Oklahoma City. Five to shoot. And yes, it’s good. Seakum’s got six. Just focusing on the task at hand. That’s all you can do. Boy, the tide is running one way and then shifts back in the other direction. I’ve lost count of how many lead changes we’ve had here tonight. Now, here’s Dors still without a basket and stolen by Seakum. And Hallebertton gets it to go on the assist by Seakkum. And it’s a three-point pacer lead. And Gilis Alexander’s got the ball here for the Thunder. Down through the hoop it goes. That’s his fifth make on nine shots from the floor. Well, that’s SJA in a nutshell right there. Quickness Lang Kyle finishing on the interior back to Hbert on Gildas. The shot by Turner. No good. Oklahoma City’s gone. Just one of four from three-point range here in the first. And he comes up with the deuce. And there’s a pattern starting to take shape here. They’re working it inside out. Good shots from close range. And Rick Carile decides to call timeout. He’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline. It’s time for the game. You know what to do. [Music] [Music] Let’s see what you got. [Music] [Music] [Music] Alexo checked in for Oklahoma City. TJ McConnell. He’s checked in for the bases on defense. Oklahoma City. [Applause] And it’s Matan missing. Never easy to stop this guy at the rim, but that is a beautiful contest right there. Outside Williams sets the screen for Williams and the dunk by Homegrren. I mean, sneaky when he moves around the floor. Homer takes you out of the play, slips past and just rolls to the hoop. And Neard has it in the corner. And the foul called on Jaylen Williams. That’ll be his second foul of the game. And that’s his second foul already. And that’s going to force him to tone down his aggression defensively. For Oklahoma City, Williams, he’s checked in for Hartinstein. Wiggins comes in for Homegrren. And it’s Isaiah Joe in for Dorch. Indiana also making some changes. Topin, he’s checked in for Turner. Eith comes in for Benedict Matan. And Shepard subbed in for Andrew Nehar. Now, here is Seiakum. He has six and Seakum throws it down. An emphatic finish by Mr. Seiak. Yes, sir. [Applause] Here’s Williams and he uses the glass on the way. Williams has got eight points. Just no resistance on the inside. That’s the hit that second makeup screen on Williams from the baseline and he buries that one. Drilling the rim on the way down. Now this guy continues to build his offensive skill set. Pascal Seakum with the mid-range jumper. Here’s Williams. Here’s Joe. The three-pointer off the mark. Indiana trailing here now. Here’s McC still yet to [Applause] score and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. These players can flat out shoot the run. The 2K leaderboard shows us the top three-point shooters in the playoffs. Well, you look at Nith, one of the best shooters in the NBA, top five in the league at this moment. He is having so much success from beyond the three-point line. Some guys just thrive on this kind of pressure. First one falls for Alexander’s checked in for Jaylen Williams. [Applause] [Applause] No good on the second free throw. Well, a little shaky from the line and instead of putting them in front, he’s only able to tie it up inside. And here’s Gilas Alexander outside. That balls. Nice feed that time from Wiggins. Well, that’s an opportunistic three-point shot from Shake Gil Alexander. He liked the look of it. Pass to Pury. Now Shiako. He’s guarded by Williams. Here’s Murphy. Down to five on the shot clock. Here’s McDonald. And the bucket is good. Three-point play chance here for him. How aggressive he is making a play at the rim against. You have got to believe that you can score against size on the interior. How about the aggressive assertive move there’s checked in for the pace. [Applause] [Applause] Here’s Gilgis Alexander. 13 points in the game. There’s 159 left here in the opening quarter. Pass to Wiggins. Here’s Caruso. No, good with the triple. Indiana has gone two or four from beyond the arc to start the game and finished off by Seakum. Well, he’s had terrific momentum all game. Pascal Seakum in his bag offensively. Wiggins. A screen on McConnell. Here’s Gilas Alexander. slides through for his seventh basket in 11 tries. I mean, the number of points they scored in the paint already here is eye opening. McDonald’s scanning the floor to the left side wing. Seahawk against Williams. Williams with the defensive effort. 58 seconds left in the first quarter. Now Joe nothing on the board. Here’s Gilis Alexander and he makes good on the lane and the Thunder lead by two. What an aggressive mindset in this period. He’s starting to take over. Passes to Sh to the middle. Here’s Tuffin. takes the assist and lays it in. Picked out the pass nicely. Toppins got it all tied up now for Indiana. Joe passes to Wiggins. Pass to Gilg Alexander. That balls. Nice feed that time from Wiggins. Gil Alexander’s got a couple of threes now in the first with a foul. Williams against Siako. And the officials will call the illegal screen right there. Beyond the leaning, you can see his feet weren’t set on that screen. Easy call. You know, he’s just leaning a little bit. You try to get away with it, but boy, the official all over it. [Applause] And here is George Alexander from past the arc. beats the buzzer. Wow. Yeah, that’s just an amazing play to get that ball off in time. Great awareness in crucial situations. Nicely done. Shay Gilgis Alexander guys has been on display for the Thunder. They kept going to him again and again and he delivered with a monster quarter. We’ll return shortly. [Music] And we’re back with you as these two teams do battle in their quest for an NBA championship. And a moment now to quickly take a look at the offensive approach for the Thunder. And right from the jump, they’ve been working hard to establish themselves inside, using agility and power to get shots in the paint. The other thing they’re doing is making plays off the bounce. And boy, once they get a step, they’re getting all the way on the court for the Pacers as our second quarter gets underway. They’ll be topping out there with Aaron Nmith. It’s TJ McConnell. Then it’s Hallebertton. And it’s Bryant in at the foul. Now here’s Gilg Alexander. And he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. Boy, Shay Gilis Alexander has become the master at drawing fouls. The Thunder have gone one for one making their previous attempt at the line. Taking two shots. [Applause] That’s good from Gilis Alexander. What you love about Shay Gilchris Alexander is this young man’s work ethic. He is a gym rat who is always looking for ways to [Applause] improve. He hits one then misses the second attempt from the free throw line. Boy, Sha Alexander is a walking bucket. This is now an elite NBA score. outside just four to shoot. Indiana needs to get a shot. The shot by Bryant. No good. Oklahoma City leading by seven. A three-pointer. Wiggins doesn’t go that time. And close to making the defense pay for the lack coverage that time. and he could not get that one to go. Out of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. The two things you love here, how confident Hallebertton is offensively. The second is not afraid to take punishment while he’s shooting the basketball. [Applause] That’s good from Halbert. so valuable to this team. Hallebert gives them whatever they need when they need it. This guy is both patient and prolific. [Applause] Hellbertton hits them both. And we’re about a minute into the second quarter of play. outside Gilgis Alexander. Six to shoot. Goes back up and the layup is up and in. Gil Alexander’s got the lead up to seven now for Oklahoma City. This guy is cooking right now. He is leading them on the offensive end as they remain in front here. Ryan with a screen for down low. Williams with the steel. Here’s Wiggins and Wiggins throws it down. That’s a double whammy. He got That’s right. A great defensive play. Then the emphatic stone. Let’s see if that serves as a momentum builder. What a great sequence for this group. Toppin finds Nish. Some nice passing here by Indiana. Got a piece of it. Pass to McConnell. Bryant with a screen on Gus Alexander. A baseline. Jay outside for Hallebertton. That’s good. And it’s Bryant with the assist. Hallebertton’s got 16. Yeah, this is his game, right? Hallebertton wants you to forget how deadly he is from threepoint territory. Look out. Here’s Gilg Alexander. Nice D from Bryant. Pacers trail by six. Okonnell passes to [Applause] Hallebertton. Lays it up and banks it in. Hallebertton’s got seven now in this quarter. Tyres Hallebertton has it cooking, guys. He’s created good offensive momentum and he’s keeping his foot on the gas pedal. Gil Alexander passes to Williams. And on the screen now is the 2K leaderboard with a rundown of this postseason’s assistance. Tyresese Hallebertton on top. Oklahoma City shooting their fourth and fifth attempts at the free throw line tonight. [Applause] And that one falls for Williams. And the Thunder with some changes. Hartinstein. He’s checked in for Wiggins. And it’s Dort in for Isaiah Joe. Miles Turner, he’s checked in for the Pacers. Andrew Nehard comes in for TJ McConnell. [Applause] And both free throws good for Williams. As we’ve gotten closer to halftime, their style has become more and more physical. Hallebertton passes to Nemo. Can’t hit that one. Nice defense from Dorch. Oklahoma City leading by six to the inside and the dunk by Hardenstein. Shay Gilous Alexander can score it so you have to respect it. That sets up this passing game. What a pretty delivery to the middle. It’s stolen by Harton Shine. [Applause] It’s Dort on the wing. Mard covering. Dort kicks to Gilg Alexander. Hartinstein passes to Gilg Alexander. Uses the glass to finish the way and it’s a 10-point Oklahoma City lead. Not a lot of resistance on the inside and they’re taking four. Calbertton for three. Rebound by Williams for Oklahoma City. They’ve gone four of seven from the field in this second quarter so far. And it goes down two points. Gil Alexander’s got 30 points and of the last six baskets, five have come on the interior. This is just smash miles physical basketball, guys. Toppin finds Nith. Turner for three. Thunder with the rebound. Gil Alexander’s got rebound number five here tonight. Well, the tremendous length at the guard spot that Shay Gil Alexander presents is a problem for a lot of defensive players. He’s made one and missed one so far in the game. Shakes Alexander taking two shots. [Applause] That’s good from Gilgus Alexander. Well, showing a lot more aggressiveness now after making zero trips to the line in the first quarter. And Oklahoma City making a change here. Wiggins has checked in. [Applause] I just Alexander hits them both and Rick Carile decides to call timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly. Here comes your zero. [Applause] [Applause] Heat up here. [Applause] [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Pacers trail by 14. Nehard with it. Allebertton outside and they get it. Missed it. He’s now made six of 10 from the field. Wiggins kicks to Gilgis Alexander over Hallebertton. Pass to Caruso. Kept alive for Indiana. They’ve gone just two of eight shooting here in the second quarter. The pass to [Applause] Hallebert. Here he goes. Shot clock at [Applause] five. He trains it as the shot clock ticks down. Hallebertton’s got nine points in the quarter. And with that basket, he’s able to end a 10- nothing run by Oklahoma City. Inside Turner with the steel. Here’s Nehard. Pass to Hallebertton. Turner with a screen for Hallebertton. That doesn’t go either for Hallebertton. The Thunder lead by 12. And Gilg Alexander the bucket on the assist by Dors. 34 points for Shade. Gilas Alexander. Hallebertton against Gilis Alexander and he hits it and gets hacked on the play. a three-point stability if he can convert the free throw. Well, offensively, this guy has been cooking. They’re definitely not losing because of him. Pasers have shot nine of 11 at the free throw line. A different look for Oklahoma City. Comes in for Aaron Wiggins and it’s Williams in for Alex Caruso. Indiana also making some changes. Pascal Seakum comes in for Choppin and it’s Benedict Matarin in for Aaron Nesmith. That’s good from Hellbert and getting to the line and hitting your free throws. A good way to get back into the game. It stops the clock and extends the game and allows you the opportunity to set your defense. They’ve been perfectly line so far here in the second quarter. And here’s Kilis Alexander outside. knocks down the three ball. Gilg Alexander’s got the lead. Up to 14 now for Oklahoma City. Diverting outside. Pass to Turner. The three ball. Hits it from three-point range. Turner’s got five. Well, Miles Turner has earned the trust of his coaches. He’s got the green light in these catch and shoot opportunities. Basket good. And the Thunder lead by 13. How many times have we seen a possession like that from them today ending with a basket coming off a pretty passes to Hallebert Seakum against Homegrren pass to Matin pocket six and a wide open look for Hallebertton off target with his three it’s a plus five advantage for them in rebounding after that one here’s Williams. His first miss now three of four from the field. Acers trail by 13. And a wideopen look from Matan and the three off target. He couldn’t believe how open he was. He just couldn’t convert it. Here’s Gilis Alexander. The dunk and the foul. A powerhouse move. And he’s got a chance for one more at the line. It’s going to be on Siakob. He’s made three of his four free throw attempts in the game. Sand with the foul. Defensive foul. Pascal Siaka. First personal foul. Fourth team foul. At the line for your defender, Shay Guilt Savior. Charity stripe shot again. Oklahoma City. Well, Lou Dort expanding his skill set now able to run kick and roll action. Go ahead and dictate some offense, Lou. Hallebertton finds [Applause] Matan. All right, that’s in for the first basket of the game after three attempts. Well, easy money, right? I like the strategy. Go inside, get a high percentage look. And Mark Dagnold calls timeout. Wants to talk some things over. might be seeing some things to [Music] adjust. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Alex Caruso has checked in for Oklahoma City. And the Pacers also making a change. McConnell’s checked in. [Applause] Now Hartinstein pass to Homer. Now here’s Caruso. Fires the three and it’s McConnell with the rebound. Now here is Shiako defended by Homer and blocked. That one goes Karini off the glass. Long 71 with that 76 wingspan. Homer can alter or block just about every shot in his vicinity. Now here’s Williams. He’s got clearly [Applause] foul 15. This is his second trip to the free throw line. William taking two shots. And he knocks down the first one. Second free throw. No good. Pacers trail by [Applause] 15. Nehard with it. Seakum outside. Pass to McConnell. Shot clock at six. Turner with a screen for Matan. And a miss there on the triple. And so it’s with it. He brings it up for Oklahoma City. Here’s Homer and the call on the shot. It sends in to the line. It’s going to be on Siakob. And Homer possesses skyhigh potential. His length and versatility making him such an intriguing prospect. No good on the free throw. Well, Chad Hungren has all the physical gifts you need. He’s got size and he’s got skill. But what I love is the competitive toughness, the want to compete every night. [Applause] He hits the second from the line. Here’s [Applause] McConnell. Pass to Siak. They set the pick. Shoots over Homegrren. Zakum’s shot is off. And with the success they’ve had rebounding the basketball, they’re right where you’d expect them to be, firmly in the driver’s seat. Dort kicks to Caruso. Some nice passing by Oklahoma City here. Williams inside. No stopping him there. Jams it in as he’s fouled. Chance now for a three-point play. It’s going to be on Miles Turner for Oklahoma City. They have been shooting right around 75% at the line. Nine of 12 so far. [Applause] And that one falls for Williams. Pacers trail by [Applause] 19. Here’s Neard. That’s a two for Matherine and misses it off the right side of the rim. I think this is a spot he has got to become more consistent from. You want to command the defender’s respect. Hartenstein passes to Williams. Pass to Dort. Back to [Applause] Williams. Fires away from way outside. Pastel Siakum grabs the miss. And the Pacers shooting 33% in this second quarter. The offense has looked crossed up and confused at times. Now here’s McConnell. Turner kicks to McConnell. Pass to Nemo trying to get something going. That one falls. His second basket of the game. He’s now two for three. What a beautiful stroke from range. Defensively, you’ve got to try to take him out of his comfort zone. Now Caruso back to Williams. [Applause] 23 seconds left front left here in the second and again Oklahoma City no good. Pacers trail by 16 to the paint. Here’s Matan. A shot missing. Excellent D there from [Applause] Williams. over Matan and that would have counted but his shot was off the mark this time. So as we conclude the first half so far fairly one-sided. Thunder lead by 16. It’s time now to go courtside as we send you over to David Aldridge from the sideline. David, take it away. Thanks guys. Coach, where do you look to shore things up at the defensive end of the floor? They’re hitting us in some different areas, you know, so we got to give help on the inside and uh with the guys we have playing tonight, we got to be real persistent, real together. Got to find that chemistry very quickly. Thanks for your time. Back to you guys. All right, David. Thank you. And stay with us, folks. We’ll be back just after halftime to get the third quarter started. Please direct your attention to center court and get ready for the bad half of workshop [Music] line. They’re measuring up the [Music] [Applause] shot. Give it up for the participants. [Music] Hey everybody, it’s halftime of game one and a big lead right now for the Oklahoma City Thunder. They’re efficient. They play to their strengths. That puts guys in a position to succeed. Yeah, they take shots they feel confident about. If they don’t feel confident, they make the next pass. Looking at this series for the Indiana Pacers, they’re right where they want to be in the series, but perhaps a bit of a let down tonight in the first half, Jet. No may, Ernie. Definitely a let down. They got a little too comfy. And I’m curious to see how they respond in the second half. This is the finals. Can’t give away games. We shall see. And that’s a halftime wrap. Let’s get back to the second half with the call by Kevin Harland and the crew and we’re ready to get back on. Let’s see what this quarter has in store for us. You know, Shay Gilis Alexander has been exceptional here tonight, guys. and and if he can keep shooting from deep like he did in the first half, he’s going to be more than a handful. What I love is they’ve continued to feed this guy. Ride the hot hand until the defense does something about it. The Thunder by 16. The four and the five. the lengthy pair of homerred and Harden shot. Kil just Alexander runs things with Dort to his side and it’s Williams at the three with a small forward. That’s the lineup in the game for Oklahoma City and for Oklahoma City. They have shot 10 of 13 from the free throw [Applause] line. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First free throw is good. [Applause] and Williams drops them both. Pacers trail by 18. And here’s Hallebert. Fires from deep. No good that time. The edge on the glass is the difference. It’s allowed them to build this lead. Williams against Matan. Hartinstein with a screen on Matan. A nice shot by Hartinstein. Hartinstein’s got six points. Big miscommunication on defense. He recognizes it and quickly takes advantage. And that’s typical of this guy. He’s always reading the situation, reacting quickly, and capitalizing. Catherine good. And that’s backto back threes. Medi just seems to be slacking off a little bit. Outside Dort back to Gilas Alexander over Hallebertton. And there’s Gilas Alexander. That’s good on the assist by Torch. And defensively, guys, they’ve been unable to shut down the middle. Tipped away. Williams with the steel. Hallebertton against Gil Alexander. They get it again. Fires for three. Cracks in the tray. Gil Alexander’s got 45 points. Boy, that’s three for four this half. You like that they’re starting with a little bit of extra energy. Knights. Knocked away. Here’s Turner. Yep, that one goes in there. He’s got seven. I’ll tell you, there’s nights where it looks like Miles Turner is unguardable, capable of scoring in the paint, even with the defense draped all over him. That’s about reading the floor. Hits his man right where he wanted it. And Hallebertton’s got the ball here for the Indiana Pacers, spins Seakum outside. Turner with the screen for Siakum. Off target from three-point range. Just enough coverage to bother that three-point attempt. Dor left side to Homegrren gets to the room for two with the D all over him. Well, it ain’t broke. Don’t fix it. They keep getting in the paint and continue to score consistently. And Rick Carile decides to call timeout. Wants to regroup and go over the strategy. [Applause] [Applause] It’s future time everyone. [Applause] incoming. Get out of your way. [Applause] It’s time. Here’s a look at the 2K leader with the list of the best shooters during the postseason. Well, you look at Arinstein, fourth in the league and as consistent as they come. And guys, that shooting percentage of his has been spectacular since the start of the playoffs. He has been completely locked in. Just over 2 and 1/2 minutes gone by here in the second half at the top of the key turner. Pass to [Applause] Hallebertton. Just five on the clock. And that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up and one on Gilis Alexander. Now this is part of the evolution of Tyrese Hallebertton getting an opportunity at the free throw line. Nice work at the line so far going five for five. [Applause] That’s good from Hellbert. [Applause] Hallebertton hits him both. Second half of playing. We’re 3 minutes into the third here. Gil Alexander against Hallebertton. And oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. Let’s remember Shay Gil just Alexander is 6’6, so getting on the interior is not a problem. [Applause] Shoot. First free throw is good. [Applause] [Applause] Alexander hits them both. Impeccable hook from the line since [Applause] halftime. Seakum [Applause] outside the pass to Matan and once again off the mark by Indiana. And you know what? He’s just not on his game. No doubt about it, their deficit isn’t totally on him, but he has not been an asset for his team. And that one is good from Hartinstein. And not hard to see why they are giving up points on this one. Just too many good looks from in close. Pass to Hallebertton. The three-pointer is right on target. Hallebertton’s got 30 points. He’s shooting the lights out down the stretch trying to keep them competitive. Homegrren with it. Back to Gilus Alexander. Hallebertton with the steel. Pass to Seakkum. Mattherin against Williams [Applause] inside and foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. And this is an advantage of having size in the back court. Hallebertton using that length to cause trouble. And let’s get your J eyes on the scoring breakdown for the Thunder. I like this throwback approach they’re taking, looking to score high percentage shots in the paint. And so far it’s working. I think another thing that’s striking here tonight, the ball movement is incredible. Again and again, they’re making smart passes to ready shooters. [Applause] He hits both from the strike. And even though they’re down, they are putting on a show at the free throw line. outside tors. Here’s Hartenstein nailed from three-point land. Hartenstein’s got nine points now in just a second. Pass to Turner. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. Well, Miles Turner consistently looking to shoot the basketball. He forces the defense to make an aggressive play on the night. He’s gone two for two at the strike. Two shots. [Applause] No good on that one. You just look at the trajectory of Turner’s career. He was raw coming into the league up and down for a number of years, but when he put it all together, he became the total [Applause] package. Good on the second free [Applause] throw. The Thunder leading by 23 now. Gilgis Alexander. Nonstop scoring machine [Applause] here. Seakum kicks to Hallebertton. Mattherin with a screen on Torch. A shot by Nehard. No good. Pressured that shot by getting the hand up just as good as a block. And he did it without fouling. And that’s become an art. Changing shots without making contact. Indiana’s gone a less than productive two of six from three-point land in the second half. Seakum finds [Applause] Nemhard. Seakum against Gilis Alexander. Second shot opportunity and Siakum with the layup. Seakum’s got 14 points. This guy’s got incredible allaround skill set. Pascal Seakum from the paint. Yes, sir. And Gilis Alexander’s got the ball here for Oklahoma City. And Mark Dagno calls timeout. He wants to talk to his guys. And he could tell his guys were dragging a little bit. Calling timeout to kind of let them catch their breath. Yeah, [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Applause] Alex checked in for home. The Pacers also with a sub. Aaron Nesmith has checked in for Benedict [Applause] Nathan. Here’s Artinstein. 13 points in the game. Caruso the pass to Gilas Alexander. He sinks the 11-footer. Gil Alexander’s got nine points here in the second half. Well, all night he has made an impact at the offensive end. Now he’s trying to shut the door to the inside. Turner and he gets the basket. Officials blowing the whistle. So, a chance at the line for one more for Miles Turner. So much of this is about confidence. You love to see him convert in there. That is nice. This is his third trip to the free throw line in the game. And the Thunder making a switch here. Williams has checked in. That’s good from Turner. The Thunder leading by 20. Now here’s Gas Alexander. What an incredible scoring display he has put on tonight. And the foul called on Pascal Siako and that’ll be his third foul so far. And the next one puts him in the bonus. Here’s Gilg Alexander hits it again. Wow. And how about the night he’s had that score now ties him for the single game playoff tie for this team. He has been nothing short of amazing tonight, right? A legendary playoff performance from him. They get it back outside in the corner. It’s kneemith clock at four. Seakum for three. Gilas Alexander pulls it in. Gilg Alexander’s got rebound number seven for him tonight. Shock up two there. 16 points for Williams. Unwilling to let up even for a moment. That’s his killer instinct, just fanning the flame. One thing I enjoy is watching players who don’t pay attention to the score. You lock in on the moment and play the right way. Here’s Hallebertton following the score by Oklahoma City. Coming off a big game. His confidence couldn’t be higher and coach knows it. Well, the best players to me deliver night night after night after night. So, as long as he’s hot, keep riding it. Here is Williams following the score by Tyrese Hallebertton. Here’s Gilis Alexand. And good. There’s another. And he’s on a tear offensively lighting up the scoreboard with a perfect and how about this? He now holds the team’s single game record for postseason scoring. Here’s Siaka. Here’s Turner. And it’s Turner finishing it off. Miles Turner is simply a workhorse. I mean, he keeps plays alive with his length and activity. Gil Alexander kicks to Williams. Pass to Williams. And it’s Williams finishing it off. Ever since halftime, they played precision basketball on the offensive end. I got to believe that’s something the coach talked to them about at the halftime. They have valued each possession. And here is to the middle and Turner with the slam. Okay, Miles Turner showing off a little bit of athletic ability. No doubt on that one. Julius Alexander finds Williams. Pass to Williams. [Applause] Dort with the ball. Williams scanning the floor over Zakum. Williams can’t hit. Well, terrific defense. They obviously respect his ability and just want to make it tough. Looking to end his cold spell. Rebound by Williams. Williams has got his fourth rebound in this one. Boy, a tough go for him in this quarter. You can see how desperately he wants to get things started. He just can’t make a shot. Scooped up and the basket by Kilis Ellander. Gilas Alexander’s got 55. Yeah, that was the third straight high percentage look the defense has allowed. The defenders have got to start putting bodies on bodies. [Applause] He’s been getting to the line now. His sixth trip in the game. Tyrese taking two shots. [Applause] And the first one Aaron Wiggins, he’s checked in for the Thunder. Indiana also making some changes. Topin comes in for Turner. And it’s TJ McConnell in for Andrew Nehar. Hallelbertton hits them both. The Thunder leading by 22. Williams with the ball. 18 points for him. Down low. Here’s Wiggins and two free throws coming up. Unable to get that one to go with all the content. It’s going to be on Obie Toppin. This is his first free throw of the [Applause] game. Aaron Williams taking two shots. [Applause] two. He throw good Wiggins. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] And both free throws good for Wiggins. And it’s McConnell with the ball. He’ll bring it up for the Indiana Pacers. Pass Denise Smith. Hallebertton against Gilis Alexander. And they pick up two. Hallebertton who’s got 13 points in just this quarter. Dyres Hallebert has a array of moves offensively. Off the deck. Yes sir. Williams passes to Williams. That one doesn’t drop. Good D by Siako. Baser shooting 47%. Pretty solid. Hallebertton kicks to McConnell. Topin sets a screen for McConnell. driving inside. This one for three. It’s rebounded by Oklahoma City. Gilis Alexander’s got nine rebounds now tonight. Williams passes to Wiggins. That one falls. Wiggins has got six and not quite as aggressive from outside as they were in the first half. Sticking to the high percentage shots, playing smart with the lead. Now here’s McConnell. Here’s Hallebertton. That’s good. McConnell with the assist. Hallebertton’s got 40 points. When Hallebertton gets this close to the cup, he’s got that little tear drop. Very tough to stop it. Here’s Williams and he converts the layup. I mean, he’s just been brilliant today, guys. And it was the same exact story last time out. Okonnell passes to Seakum over Williams at the tip. Siako on the bucket. He’s got 16. Nice tip in there. I mean, he’s got like a sixth sense in terms of where the miss is going to go. That is really a tap now. Here’s Williams. He’s got 20. Caruso up top. Over in the corner. Williams. Six on the shot clock. Outside Williams off the mark there with the three-point shot. Here’s N Smith over Williams and the last second attempt does not go in for him. And so it’s Oklahoma City holding a 22-point lead as the quarter wraps up. The scoring has been tremendous and they are shooting lights out with very high accuracy. Back to the action in just a minute. [Music] Rick Carile had some words for his team. Let’s hear what he had to say. Hey, hey, it’s all about physical. It’s all about physical. Make sure we’re running back. Touch somebody. Touch somebody. pleading for his teammate to be more physical and aggressive. That’s something we hear often from coach Gar urging his team to play tough and physical and we reach the fourth quarter in a game that may be already out of hand. On the court right now for the bases, TJ McConnell is out there with Hellbertton. Then it’s Nith. Then there’s Obie Toppen. And it’s Bryant in at the center position. Here’s Gilg Alexander following the score by Tyrese Hallebertton. Gilg Alexander basers with the rebound. McConnell’s got his fourth rebound in this one to the middle. Topin good. Well, we’ve seen that movie a few times having an easy bucket in the paint. Gilas Alexander against McConnell for the three and it’s Gilis Alexander [Applause] missing. Gilas Alexander against Hallebertton inside and the dunk by Bryant. Boy, the ability of Thomas Bryant to play over the top of the defense so impressive. Gets long and finishes with authority. Now here’s Caruso. The Pacers pull it [Applause] in. Fourth quarter now. We’re about a minute and a half in. Mes finds [Applause] McConnell. Toppin against Wiggins. Toppin passes to Hellbert. [Applause] over Joe. Rebound by Williams. The Thunder lead by 16. Wiggins with it. Picked up by Bright. And the call will go against Aaron Wiggins. That’s his first foul. Yeah, way to get there first. And be willing to absorb the contact. Kane moves along. Two minutes gone here in the fourth. Here’s McConnell. And a lot of contact on that one. So, he’ll shoot two here. And I like the fact that the defense is looking to protect the rim at all costs. DJ two shots. [Applause] That free throw [Applause] missing. And he’s good on the second. We’re about two minutes into the fourth quarter in this one and Mark Dagno calls timeout. He has decided it’s the right time to talk. Things not going their way and he wants to just try to talk this one over. Well, night in and night out. Sometimes it’s a battle of runs. Who has the most? All right. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] [Music] Oh, [Music] [Music] so heat. [Applause] [Music] D to he’s checked in for Isaiah Cho. Andrew Neard’s checked in for the basement. It’s time now to hear from our Hall of Fame reporter, David Aldridge. What’s the latest, David? Hey guys, during the last break, here’s what Mark Dagmal was telling his team. He told his players, “I love the energy right now. You look like you’re having fun out there. Keep playing for each other because our chemistry looks great right now.” Back to you guys. Thank you, David. Wiggins finds Dort. Here’s Gilgis Alexander. No good. Unable to end this run. Pacers trail by 15. Here’s Nishman. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. Got one on Gilas Alexander. Two shots. [Applause] And he makes the first and the Thunder making a change here. Williams has checked [Applause] in and Son Smith nails both of them. The Thunder leading by 13. Just under two and a half minutes gone here in the final quarter. Here’s Williams and the basket is good. And he’s got a chance here for one more at the line. It doesn’t matter what position Jaylen Williams happens to be playing on any given night. This guy’s a force offensively. [Applause] Now by [Applause] William and that one misses. Pacers trail by 15. Smith the pass to Emmo. Throws it up high. Stolen by Dort and the Thunder pushing it up now and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw [Applause] line second. [Applause] Alexo two guys shooting two big the first one falls and as a team they’re hovering around the high8s from the free throw line. They’ve gotten better as the game has gone along, which is exactly what you want to see. Isaiah Joe, he’s checked in for [Applause] Wiggins. Got to get it. Big And so Caruso nails both of them. Pacers trail by 17. Mehard the pass to Choppin. Around 3 minutes gone here in the fourth quarter. Left side Hallebertton just five to shoot. Up and in on the layup. Hallebertton’s got 44. Yeah, great work on the interior caliber and easy work inside and play stops whistle on what looks to be an illegal screen. When a pick like that is questionable and creates that much of an advantage for the offense, you have to blow the whistle. I don’t think there’s any question. There are so many rules that favor the offense these days. You’ve got to be able to equal things out when an illegal screen is set. And the Thunder making a change here is checked in. Now here is Hallebertton pass to Nemo. Hallebertton against Corso. Hallebertton. No good. And so it’s Thor with it. He brings it up for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The lead is 15. Left side Williams. And the shot goes in. Williams has got 24 points. And that’s just cold bloodooded right there. He’s taking no prisoners. Well, when it’s closing time, he’s trying to lock the door. He’s been going all night. The shots good from Hallebertton. You really got to tip your cap to him in terms of how he’s played today. Even if they end up losing this game. Dor with a screen for Williams outside. Dort. offline with his three. Pacers trail by 15. Pass to [Applause] Nemo. Chompin up top. Covered by Wiggins from 11 ft away. And that’s good for two. Hallebertton’s got 48. Oh, great ball movement there. [Applause] Caruso against Hallebertton. Here’s Williams shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. It goes on Aaron [Applause] Nman. Two shots. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. and he knocks down the first one and that puts him right around 90 from the free throw line. Really good work here in the second [Applause] half on the mission on the miss. and Williams drops them both. Here’s Hallebertton. Well, Greg, they’re making a valiant effort to come all the way back. Wow. And they need to take care of the basketball. Plenty of time. No need to force it. And there’s a foul for Alex Caruso. His third foul of the game. [Applause] Thunder on Dean Hallebertton for three. Rebound by Williams. Williams has got six rebounds in the game. It’s Williams with the drive. Well, you give Jay Williams and my goodness, he will go to work. Aces trail by 17 the pass to Hellbert. pocket six. [Applause] There’s the dribble. Gets rebounded by Oklahoma City. Williams has got his seventh rebound here tonight. And they’ve only got a slight edge on the boards, but it just feels a lot bigger. Now here’s Williams. Back to Caruso. It’s good. Great play by Williams to set it up. Williams has got six assists in the game. Three-point shooting since the half has been about as good as you could ask for. Neard with it. Defended by Dors. Pass to Bryant over Wiggins and the Pacers can’t get it to go. Oklahoma City leading by 20 and stolen by Bryant. And now Bryant pushing it up. No one back to stop him. Nehard the pass to N [Applause] Smith. Allebertton [Applause] outside. Four on the clock. They need this. A put back. Great positioning on the football. Absolutely love the energy that Thomas Bryant brings nightly. He earns his rebounds. Right side. Williams pass to Williams. Higgins outside. Caruso with the ball. No good on the three. Boy, this guy just can’t buy a bucket and yet they have the advantage. Meard the pass to Hbert to the paint. Here’s Toppin and Toppin throws it down. Obie Tophin is a showman. Put him near the cup and watch what happens. [Applause] Williams. A screen on Hallebertton. Outside Williams and it’s good. Assisting on the play was Williams. And that’s now 30 points here for Jaylen Williams. Pacers trail by 18. Outside [Applause] Bryant. There’s to Hallebertton. shoots over Caruso and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. Well, you talk about a guy who is a great rim runner. You’re talking about Thomas Bryant. He’s also able to make that face up jump shot. Thomas Bryant just needs to stay healthy. [Applause] And the first one, if you watch him now, it’s amazing that Thomas Bryant ever fell to the second round in the draft. He’s big, he’s skilled, he knows the game. Catching up on the changes for Oklahoma City. Hartinstein, he’s checked in for Williams. Chad Homegrren comes in for Wiggins and Shane Gilgis Alexander subbed in for Alex Caruso. Both shots good from the strike. Boy, a really soft touch on display. It is a luxury to have a big man who can hit from the line at a consistent rate. Matan against Williams. Pass to Homer. Back to Williams. [Applause] Now here’s Gilas Alin and that’s a foul called on Shane Gilasin. That’s it for him. He’s fouled out of the game and he has to take that long slow walk back to the bench here. He he’ll watch the rest of this one from the sideline. Yeah. And luckily they’ve got terrific depth at that position. If there’s one spot on the floor where they can afford to lose somebody, that would probably be it. Now here is Hallebertton. Oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. Got one on Homegrren. Oh, the officials are all over [Applause] them. Tyrese one. [Applause] He’s off on the [Applause] first and the second free throw. Good. The Thunder lead by 15. sets the screen for Williams and again it’s Oklahoma City. Oh, what a nice stroke from the mid-range for Jaylen Williams making you pay. Seakum outside back to Hallebertton and they call you a screen here. the second half. They haven’t taken care of the basketball. Simply put more turnovers now that could hurt them later. The Thunder have gone six and 12 from the field here in the fourth and even 50%. Pass to Homegrren. Williams with the ball defended by Matarin. Shots good by Williams. And it just seems like the more he touches it, the more the lead grows. Hallebertton against Caruso and Neard has it in the corner. And here is Williams. Pass to Dort. Oklahoma City moving it around now. Hartenstein and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. Personal [Applause] foul at the line for two Isaiah Park. Take a break. Take a break. Two shot. And free throw. Good from [Applause] Hartenstein. So after making the first, he goes one for two. And Seakim has got the ball here for the Pacers. [Applause] It’s Nehard on the wing. Defended by Dors. On the wing, Turner. Five on the clock. Turner with a screen on Dors. Here’s Nemo buries it from three-point range. I’ll tell you, you are playing with fire anytime you leave this guy open. And they just got burned. Pass to Homegrren to the wing right side. Caruso kicks to Dort. Now here’s Holmes. Oklahoma City needs to get off a shot. Here’s Caruso. Neard grabs the board. Neard’s got four rebounds now tonight. And guys, you can go ahead and put game one in the record books exactly how they wanted to kick off this series against a tremendous opponent. Big win for Oklahoma City. And guys, the fast break was run, I thought, beautifully all night by these guys. I think that was a big part of their success. Yeah, they definitely ran the break well. A big advantage in that category. And they continually put pressure on the defense. They’re certainly starting the finals off on the right foot and this will be a comfortable win for them in game one. Yeah, this was a statement game and what a time to make it. I’m sure it’s going to get tougher for this group, but they won’t be able to just run away with the championship. But tonight, they clearly established themselves as the stronger team early in this series. And one of the key components to this victory, if not the biggest, was the incredible performance for Shay Gilis Alexander. Well, I thought his best work was his pursuit of the basketball. He competed for every rebound, fought for position in the paint, and never stopped working. I love it. Now, here’s Williams following the miss by Tyrese Albert. Two free throws coming up, and they call the shooting foul. I’ll tell you what, he earned his money on that foul. 15 foul at the line for your defender, Alex Caruso, taking some shots. The free throw drops for Caruso. [Applause] And so Caruso nails both of them on offense. Here are the bases. The shot and game clock separated by four. Shepard. The pass to Tophin. And Toppin throws it down. Here is Williams. [Applause] [Applause] So, no problem for Oklahoma City as they get the win. Uh, pretty good feeling right now for them to be out in front like this in the series. You know, Kevin, momentum so so critical and you know they’ll want to ride this wave into game two. That’s a wrap for the first game of the NBA Finals.
