NBA LIVE! Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers GAME 1 LIVE | June 2, 2025 | 2025 NBA Finals 2K25
162 on the road. JV floats it up. Hard sky right over the top of the defense to get the Thunder going. Jub maneuvering that big body screen got in the mid-range shot. And there is Jubard. Gives it up again. This time got down low. Turn of the offensive rebound. Spins D with the rake and he comes up with the steal. And no Aaron Wiggins. deep roster as D from the outside that will get his blow. Williams comes in SJ looking for his first points and gets his first couple of steps and there is Carlson with a contest. Didn’t let him get that easy layup. Kri the other end the hard take and Kri able to score in transition. He went right at Kobe to sometimes you have to do that for your teammates just so they can be able to get that rebound. Sacrifice his body and look what he leads to on the other end trying to start it. J up the floor attacking off balance still somehow able to get the spin and bring it home. Thunder trailed the first three quarters of that game in December before finally figuring it out. There’s another reflection. Something the Thunder do better than any team in the NBA. That was really physical too a little bit. I like that. Joe on the fade away off the pass. There’s another assist for a center in OKC history. Now he’s got the rebound out JDub. One Jubed and he goes right to the cup and still there you have it. There’s like I’m going to have a big birthday celebration every year no matter what. Oh, nice find always under control. How about SGA from behind the three-point line drills it from deepend [Applause] just kind of face guarded him. J turns the corner, drives inside, plus the foul. Wallace little fake the kick. Dor already with a couple of threes looking for more. And Dor’s got one more. That one is pure from the outside. Do a DHO. Call it a dribble handoff. Kri drives and just kind of paralyze the defense. Walker. Jada back the other way. Finds an open shooter. Wallace spots up and connects. And they must have got that play off in about 3 seconds. 18 in the game for Hallebert. Jada again. Just power down the lane. Plays through a little contact. Just sit your money on the table. Just let it ride. Whatever happens happens. They’re just playing this out right now. Oh, Carroso the penetration and the score have already put up 39 points here in the third. SGA gets downhill got to the rim left it short follows the shot and the second effort is on this particular possession outside now trying to get the three-point as Joe makes it for a terrific young but can drive the basketball. setting up a ton of them that time. SGA doing work yet again matched up on top. Little step back three action and SGA puts it in cuts, takes a little bump and gets the bounce off the back of the rim and another quick strike by OKC throughout this entire game. Yeah, everybody stepping up. There’s the exact same play that SGA and Wallace ran in the first half tonight. You know what? The guy keeps his head down. He does the same thing every night. Just shows up. It just turned to end basketball almost invariably with the denial inside. Michael played over 12 minutes in the game with that depleted front line. And here he is a nice little alleyoop set up by Ken Williams by him. Pacers no interest. They’re just going to run out this clock and Mark Dol and Rick Carile. Little handshake at center court. [Music] Thank you [Music] [Music] so much. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music] again. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] the other way. Gets the three-pointer to fall. Yeah, great outside shooting really fueling this run. right side Williams and the shot goes in. Williams has got 17 now. And at the offensive end, he’s done about as much as they could have hoped for today. Outside [Music] pass on the clock. Here’s Turner. Well, Thunder pull it in. Martin Stein’s got rebound number seven for him tonight. The game has been very close in a lot of areas, but rebounding has been the one that differentiated thus far. We’ve seen it time and time again in games. Effort and determination on the glass can make up for a lot of other weaknesses. And the Thunder making a switch here. Caruso’s checked in. The Pacers also with a sub. TJ McConnell. He’s checked in for Benedict Matther. Parkerstein. No good on the quick three. Pacers trail by five. Seakum passes to Hallebertton. Back to Seakum and it’s out of bounds. They say it was last touch by Williams and he made the right read on that play but just couldn’t secure the steal. You know fellas, one second quicker and that’s going the other way. And so here is Indiana and that’s a foul called on Shay Gilas Alexander. That’s his first foul. Second off the inbound pass. A nice shot by Smith. He’s got eight. I’ll tell you, they’re right in this. We’ll see if they can maintain momentum. Well, it starts with defense. They got some stops, scored some buckets after that, and now we’ve got ourselves a ball game. Harton Shine finds Williams. Gil Alexander against McConnell. No doubt it’s been a bit of a struggle for him here in this quarter in terms of scoring. Siaga passes to [Applause] McConnell. Pocket six pass to Turner. Good three. Seakum good for his six make in a dozen attempts shooting 50% with that basket. And this is how under control Sakum is. Makes sure to get off a good look on that possession. Artinstein with it. Back to Gilis Alexander and he banks in the layup. Gil Alexander’s got seven points here in the sport. Strong home work for him at the offensive end helping him to maintain that lead. Siakum kicks to Hallebertton and oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. Nice job by Hallebertton showing you the toughness that time going right into that defense and drawing the foul. And what do you guys think so far about the offensive approach for the Thunder? Guys indeed hasn’t had an answer for the three-point shooting, which is why they continue to just fire away from deep. Impressive. And they’ve done a good job, too, of getting to the foul line. Really been in attack mode offensively. and he knocks down the first one. I tell you, one of the things I’ve noticed about Hallebertton is his endurance, man. It is off the charts. He’s always pushing the pace and really outworking other guys most of the time. He’s constantly revving up the motor and taking things up a notch. Hellbertton hits them both. He’s as solid as it gets from the line. I mean, give him the opportunity. He’s cashing in on those. And Mark Dagno calls timeout here. He wants to check in with his team and [Applause] regroup. [Applause] Let’s make it loud for your [Music] [Applause] father. [Applause] Here’s Williams. 17 points in the game. The Pacers pull it in. [Applause] Hallebertton with it. Pass to McConnell. Back to Hallebertton. [Applause] Six on the shot clock for the lead. And that one’s good. Hallebertton’s got 30 points. Boy, what a quarter for him. I mean, he’s found his rhythm and he’s really riding that wave right now. Now Hartenstein Turner covering. Hartenstein passes to Williams. McConnell against Gilg Alexander and good that time. Gil Alexander’s got it all tied up now for Oklahoma City. And it’s Indiana’s ball. They’re on a 17-6 run. McConnell passes up. McConnell against defense from George. Those are chances almost always you can rely on him to get you two points but could be just enough to keep him out of rhythm. Williams finds Jordan. Now Gilis Alexander gets it from three-point lane and now it’s a three-point Oklahoma City lead once again. He’s able to knock down the long range jumper. He’s on automatic. Just a brilliant game against Hallebertton. A beautiful reversal. Hallebertton’s got 32 points. Here’s Gilas Alexander. He’s got 36. Outside Williams to Hartenstein. Oklahoma City moving the ball around. And here’s Gilis Alexander outside. takes the three-pointer. Julius Alexander’s got 39. What an exhibition he’s putting on today. This is about as hot as you can get. [Applause] Turner looking around trying to find Hallebertton and gets it to him. Count that bucket. 34 points for Tyresese Hallebertton. Yeah, he’s owning them on the offensive end, but you know, he can’t do it by himself. Pass to Caruso. [Applause] Back to Gilas Alexander tries again. The rebound by Turner. Turner’s got six rebounds here tonight. Tipped away. Hallebertton on the wing. 141 left in the third. At the turner pass to [Applause] Smith and here is Ziako. He’s guarded by Williams and another shot. Dort grabs the miss. Very dangerous to leave a guy like that open. Lucky break right there for the D. Over to the wing inside. Here’s Turner. And it’s Turner finishing it off. Boy, that’s just too easy, guys. Turner, a player you can’t allow to get free near the rack. He’s a great dunker. Bang. And Mark Dagno calls timeout. He is going to have a discussion here on the sideline. They’ve been committing a lot of turnovers and I imagine that’s exactly what they’re talking about right now. They need to tighten it up. [Applause] man for your own city crew for Oklahoma City. Williams is checked in for Harden. Aaron Wiggins comes in for Shay Gilis Alexander and it’s Isaiah Joe in for Dort. Then for the Pacers, Toppin comes in for Miles Turner and Shepard subbed in for Hallebertton. [Applause] Joe finds [Applause] Williams. 51 seconds left in the third quarter. Shot clock at six from the line and all of them who win that time before dropping in. Williams has got six points in the quarter and obviously his momentum from the last game has carried over here tonight. You know that’s how it goes to feel. I mean these hot streaks guys don’t last minutes, they last days. Shepard, that’s good. Pick works well there. Not much resistance from the D. Yeah, that’s not the defense you need. You got to be tougher defensively. The shot and game clock separated by four. They get the rebound. Wiggins no good with the layup. Now here’s Nmith. He’s guarded by Williams. And here’s McConnell down low. Here’s Siakum. And no luck at that time on the buzzer beater. is Albertton has been on display for the Pacers. What a quarter that saw them J. And let’s take now this moment to bring up our State Farm assist of the game. And the definition of teamwork right there, guys. I mean, what great communication between them and what a beautiful feed for me. Next to the big time alley oops and monster throwd downs. Passes like that are probably the next best thing when it comes to sweet looking NBA highlights. And we’re ready to get back into the action here in game one. Let’s see what this corner has in store for us. He got Isaiah Joe. Aaron Wiggins is out there with Alex Caruso. Then it’s Williams and it’s Gilgus Alexander at the point. That’s the lineup out there for the Thunder. on the way. Wiggins needs recovery for three. Williams gets rebounded by Indiana. The pass to McConnell. It falls for the sixth time in seven tries this contest. That’s 86%. It’s been like this all night for both teams. The offenses having their way. any law in the action so far has been shortlived because there have been nothing but buckets in this one. And this is SDA’s role. He’s out there to score against the wing over Joe and it’s Hlebertton missing and so Guso will bring up the ball for the Thunder. Fourth quarter now we’re about a minute and a half in now Joe. Back to [Applause] Caruso and trying for the go-ahead basket. It doesn’t go in. The Pacers have gone one of three from the field to start the fourth quarter. Allebertton rebounded by Joe. Oklahoma City trailing. to the paint. Wiggins finds Gildish Alexander sinks that one from the post. Gil Alexander’s got 43 points. The defense has just been unable to slow him down. Wow, what a pass to the Back to Hellbert Joe and good as it just snugs right down through the net. Whenever that mid-range jump shot is available, Hallebertton is going to take advantage of it. He’s a really good passer but also an opportunistic scorer. And they called the foul. So, he’s got the and one chance here to make it a three-point play. And look at how the hustle game has been going for the Pacers. I like their defense tonight. And we don’t talk about that side of the ball enough. You can really change a game when you get a bunch of steals and get out in transition. And you know, on top of that, second chance points have been a major component for him. And I love the relentlessness they’ve shown on the offensive glass. The free throw off from Hallebertton. Seems like Hallebert is always looking to do a little more. Always making the extra effort. That’s fairly rare. Dort gets to Williams. Back to Dort. Pass to Gilas Alexander. He claims that one off the back iron and down it falls. Gilas Alexander’s got 45 points. Here’s Nemoard. Defended by Gordon. Loads it up for Bryant. Out of bounds. Oklahoma City takes possession. Well, that’s a moment he’d like to archive. Embarrassing laps of judgment there. A bit under three and 1/2 minutes have passed here in the fourth. And Mark Dagnel calls timeout here. and he wants to see some changes out there right away and right [Applause] [Music] now. Time now to turn to our sideline reporter, David Aldridge. David, during that last break, coach Mark Dagno talked to his team. Coach is not happy with that three-point battle. He told his team, “We’re down because they’re making more threes than us. We have to defend the line if we’re not making them at the other end.” Guys, thanks so much, David. Here’s Dor Nard. The pass to N Smith. Lebertton outside. The three-pointer. No good. The Thunder have gone three of five here in the fourth quarter. Pretty good numbers coming out of the [Applause] break. Here’s Gus Alexander. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul and able to get himself to the line. SGA so crafty inside there to get the contact. Shane Alexander taking two shots. The first one falls and no matter what, one of the big positives they can take away from this game is how well they perform at the line. And so he hits both nearly automatic Alexander. No slouch from the line against Alexander. Jesus Alexander with the [Applause] steel and Jas Alexander understands how to draw contact especially when he’s looking to score. [Applause] Sher taking two shots. [Applause] And the first one at the line is good. And if they continue, Kevin, their outstanding free throw shooting, that’ll help them seal the deal. Yeah, they’ve not missed a single foul shot this half. And that’s taking care of business, fellas. on the miss. Gilg Alexander hits them both. Now here is Hallebertton and Hallebertton slims it in. Tyrese Hallebertton so capable of playing multiple positions and roles for this team and tonight he’s embraced being the scorer. George Alexander [Applause] against [Applause] 13 to [Applause] That’s good from Gilas Alexander. just Alexander hits them both. Well, you have to like how he’s challenging the defense now in the second half. Getting to the line for a lot of free throw opported by Oklahoma City led by as many as 14 points. Topman against Wiggins going inside. It’s blocked. Good defensive awareness that time by Toppin to come and block the shot. And now let’s take a look again at that incredible rejection. Hey, bringing that postseason intensity. So critical. You know, these plays can change the trajectory and outcome of a game. And a wide open look. And another one. And he’s on a tear defensively lighting up the scoreboard with a burp. And how about this? He now holds the team’s single game record for postseason scoring. Hallebertton pass it to [Applause] Chovin, launches a three. And with that, the Thunder lead is cut down now to just two points with that basket from Hallebertton. Their three-point percentage has taken a big lead here in this second half. And their lasers are starting to do their thing. I mean, that’s going to be the ticket for them the rest of the way. Nemhard with it. Dort covering. Nice shot by Nehard. No good. Oklahoma City has gotten off to an 0 for two start from downtown here in the fourth quarter. Back to Dort McCree at balls. Nice feed that time from Wiggins. And the three-point shot wasn’t always there for Dort, but he’s put in a ton of work on it. [Applause] So against Alexander feeling it out a bit missing. Good D by Dus Alexander to the inside. Here’s Williams and it’s Williams with the jam. And although decides to center, more than making up for it with some serious hops. And Rick Carwle decides to call timeout. Clearly, he’s got something his players need to hear. And [Music] [Music] immediately for Oklahoma City, he’s checked in for Williams comes in for Aaron Wiggins. And Jaylen Williams is subbed in for Alex Caruso. The Pacers also changing it up. Miles Turner, he’s checked in for Bryant. Pascal Seakum comes in for topic. And it’s Benedict Matan in for Aaron Eastman. Pacers trail by seven. Seakum outside. Count it. And the foul one on Homegrren and give Seakum the hoop and the harm on that one. And since being drafted back in 2016, he’s really improved that upper body strength. [Applause] and Siaka. Oh, good on that one. A big man who can score. Rebound and passes. This is why Siaku has become a huge piece of this team. And it just seems that every pass they make is leading to a score. Just great ball. Alleton gets the turner pass to Nemo. Dort grabs the miss. Dorch got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done. And there’s Homer. That’s good on the assist by Dorch. And the Thunder lead by nine. And here’s Allebertton. He’ll bring it up for the Indiana bases. Seakum outside. Five to shoot. Back to Hallebertton. Shoots over Alexander. A nice shot by Hallebertton. Hallebertton’s got 45 points. Pass to [Applause] Hartenstein. Now [Applause] Williams. Here’s Gilgish Alexander. Crusted up the knee perfectly. A strong take by SGA. The 66 with point guard skills. What a nightmare match up he is. [Applause] Time four [Applause] [Music] person Alexander shooting one. Pacers trail by 10. Ain passes to Turner. Turner with a screen for Hallebertton and they call an illegal screen here. Well, you know, it’s turnover certainly not making it any easier for him and not the most common call you’ll see in the NBA, but hard to argue that pick wasn’t illegal. Yeah, you know, the officials aren’t nearly as lenient as they used to be on that call. As a matter of fact, I know I got away with a lot of those in my playing days, but that was 40 years ago. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. Nice work to get it inside and draw contact. Exactly. The defense determined not to allow the easy layup right there. They’ll settle for making him earn the free throws. That’s good from Gilas Alexander. I just Alexander hits them both. Pacers trail by 12. Pass to Nemar. [Applause] Hallebertton against Gilis Alexander. Nemhard. The pass to Hallebertton. That one no good. Good D by Gilus Alexander. They’ve shown some strength in the paint today. Their work on the boards has been impressive, guys. That’s putting it mildly. I mean, they’ve been absolutely dominant. Just five to shoot from outside the arc. The Pacers pull it in. Turner’s got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one. [Applause] Gil just Alexander against Hallebertton. Turner with a screen on Gilis [Applause] Alexander and it’s Hallebertton missing. The Thunder leading by 12. Williams with the ball now. Harton Shine to the middle. Here’s Gilg Alexander. Great pass to set up the layin. Gil Alexander’s got 60. And good work inside. STA will make more room for himself on the perimeter when he can be effective down low. Hallebert and the call on the shot. It sends in to the line. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that. Shouldn’t be much fate there. Blatant contact. Straightforward call. Simple Tyrese. Two shots. Take a break. Take a break. Two [Applause] shots. First one falls for [Applause] [Applause] Hallebertton hits them [Applause] both. Thing burn some clock if they want to and get a little breather as well. It’s Gilgus Alexander with the drive. Pacers trail by 12. Hallebertton with it. He’s picked up by Gilas Alexander. It’s Nehard on the wing. Gilis Alexander pulls it in. Gilis Alexander’s got rebound number five here for tonight. Williams against Mat. Back to Williams on the wing. Gil just Alexander. Six to shoot. It’s rebounded by Indiana. Catherine’s got five rebounds tonight. Down low. It’s tipped. Homer with the steel. Gil Alexander against Matie. To the paint. Here’s Williams. and change shot and it’s good on the way. Williams has got 10 points here in the second half. And guys, you can go ahead and put game one in the record books. Exactly how they wanted to kick off this series against a tremendous opponent. Big win for Oklahoma City. They found a great rhythm from long range. Yeah, Kevin. Every time they left a man open, he get a good shot at the basket. didn’t hesitate and that aggression paid off. They’re certainly starting the finals off on the right foot and this will be a comfortable win for them in game one. Yeah, this was a statement game and what a time to make it. I’m sure it’s going to get tougher for this group, but they won’t be able to just run away with the Another one goes. Incredible. His offensive excellence continues to be on full display. Great. He has now moved into second all time for scoring in a playoff game. He’s passed Elgen Baylor. Now his sights set on the great Michael Jordan. 24 seconds left in the fourth quarter. And so the Thunder now can just hold on to the ball. Hallebertton against Gilis Alexander.
