They should not have traded away last years team. They had chemistry, and this team doesn't .
Last season we made to the playoffs and got bumped by the pacers in the second round back in the days teams used watch and study their opponents and make adjustments I've been a KNICKS fan since 1969 and the system they played in the regular season and they made it to the playoffs ,when the playoffs came they always upgraded their system but the last playoffs they didn't make any adjustments they used the system that they played in the regular season that's where they messed up at …DIE HARD KNICK 4 LIFE.

Chris Enough of the jibberish talk. The Knick lost to the same team two years in a row. Thibs is not going to play rookies which is a sad thing because it’s the rookies years to shine. Thibs is a HS coach at best. All Rose had to do last offseason was to get a big shooting/ defensive guard along with Brunson; bring a power forward who can score and defend. But what did he do. He got rid of Randle and Devo and trade away future picks because Thibs was not going to play rookies anyway. Don’t blame the Knicks losses on Kat. Kat did his thing but everyone know he wasn’t a power center. Bridges is best coming off the bench. That Villanova squad was not gonna make it in the NBA finals definitely not for a championship. Still my team and real fans know the Knicks were not going all the way with that trade just days or weeks before the season.

No matter what they do to this roster. Its always going to be the same results as long as we have Thibs as coach.
Coach isn’t going to get fired. They need a third player who can be a consistent scorer, play some defense and the bench needs to be upgraded. Bridges needs to go plus Hart is on the bubble both are inconsistent. Kat just makes dumb decisions on defense which shows up in some of the stupid fouls he picks up.
Knicks will be considered 3rd behind Indy and Cleveland as it stands now. Not sure why people thought we were better than Indy. Look at what they did the last 50 games.
Knicks were unbeatable last January 2024 with Brunson and Randle.

I have to hold the coach at fault for so much to include – time management- in game adjustments- lack of player development (meaning not utilizing bench allowing experience and in game growth. Thibs is missing the strategic component that a coach needs.
The bench wasn't the problem, Thibs is the problem. Bad coaching = losing
These aren’t facts just speculations. This team has been together for 1 year. The core will remain together, only makes sense. As for the bench, well that’s another story.

Here is the New York Knickerbocker problem as simple as it can get: Today's NBA is a 3 point shooting league! Leads are built upon blazing 3 point shots accuracy. Deficits are enlarged when your team cannot match pace.
THATS THE KNICK PROBLEM IN A NUTSHELL.
Only Brunson and Bridges are high percentage 3 pt shots. Hart and OG A are invisible at the 3, let alone offensively as a whole, also.

Casual Fan Here (I watched all the gams in the 80s/90s) , From what I watched, The Pacers were a better team, man for man – Haiburton > Brunson, Siakam > KAT, Neismith > Hart, Nemhard > Bridges, Turner > Robinson, Bench Better from what I watched in the six games I'd take the Pacers roster man for man 1-12 over the Knicks … imo the Knicks won game 5 and game 3 was more of the Pacers losing it

Mike has won a Championship, practically invented the Joker, and was the only coach who managed to resurrect Russell Westbrook's career. Just because he likes to use a smaller rotation doesn't make him anything like Thibs. Joker was just an ingrate. Towns didn't fail to ball. He did better than Julius Randall in the Playoffs
This team is a good team. A tweek is what they need, not a overall. Thibbs didn't do a good job incorporating and developing players. You just can't expect guys who have not touched the court in weeks to come in and have a impact.
