Atlanta Hawks TRADING Clint Capela To Los Angeles Lakers? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Atlanta Hawks be trading away Clint Capella to the Los Angeles Lakers this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. But this trade would see the Atlanta Hawks receiving Jonathan Kaminga and Gabe Vincent, the Golden State Warriors receiving Jared Vanderbilt, a second round draft pick, a 2028 first round draft pick, and a 2032 second round pick, and the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Clint Capella and Terren Man. So, my immediate thoughts are is that this is actually a pretty intriguing three-team trade proposal. Uh, this would of course see Jonathan Kaminga, who’s rumored to be traded this off season, uh, going to the Hawks as well as Gabe Vincent. So, I think those two together could actually be a pretty cool fit if the Hawks kind of want to change up the, uh, the outlook of this lineup and maybe add a little bit more wings. you know, with Kaminga, he’s a player that has shown in the past offensive flashes and a player that perhaps with a change of scenery and maybe more of an increased role offensively speaking, he could be like a 20 plus point per game guy for the foreseeable future. So, if you’re bullish on Jonathan Kaminga and you want to add a good veteran uh to come off the bench and gave Vincent, it’s truthfully speaking a pretty solid trade package in return for the Hawks. If you’re the Golden State Warriors here, you’re getting back uh you know Jared Vanderbilt, it’s a good three and D option. he kind of fits this Warriors team pretty well. I think Steve Kerr would love to have a guy like this in their lineup. But you’re also getting some draft capital as well, which for a team that’s aging and for a team that might not have a championship window open for very much longer, which is kind of the ages and trajectories of Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green. Adding draft capital, which they could either trade for short-term assets or keep for the long term, is not a terrible idea. And you’re giving up Kaminga, who at this point his value, it kind of is what it is. teams know he’s going to be traded this off season. So, you kind of have to take what you can get. So, not a bad package there. And if you’re the Lakers, I actually like this quite a bit for them. Uh they’re only giving up Jared Vanderbilt, a first round pick. Um and a second round pick. Uh for a player like Clint Capella, who defensively speaking, a double double machine, uh provides some size and some strength in the front court, a nice threat below the basket as well defensively speaking. And this team kind of lacks that right now. So, I think adding Clint Capella is a positional upgrade for them. And Terrence man’s kind of a good throwin as well. He’s a pretty solid player. Uh can kind of replace maybe someone like Gay Vincent or Jared Vanderbilt in more of a 3 and D format and just provide some pretty good minutes coming off the bench. So if I had to rank this deal one, two, three, I’d probably go with the Lakers one, the Hawks 2, and the Warriors three. But truthfully speaking, it’s a pretty good trade all around. So those are just my thoughts. Leave yours down below.
