You overpay on the trades. Better to just let our core players continue to develop next year with BI. As for the luxury tax, after the draft, a minor salary dump move (2nd round pick) can be done to ensure the Raptors stay under the tax. There are teams that will accept a salary dump for a 2nd round pick.
Dejounte is borderline toxic asset. Even if he comes back, he'll be borderline untradradeable. He's coming off of achilles injury. There's only one top tier star that's come back fully from Achilles tear, KD. He won't even play for most of next year.

We definitely don't give any picks in that Dejounte Murray trade. If anything, they're giving us picks. No way Cavs do that deal. The Trae young one is decent

Sending 2 picks out Barrett amd Ochai for Garland is crazy work! Barrett and Garland are equivalent players just below all star tier. We have to keep our picks for 2025 and 2027 before we get way better. I would do the Trae trade if we keep our 2025 pick and add one on the back end.
Is Trae Young, Murray and Garland really big fishes ? 🤔🤔🤔 Big fishes to me are the likes of KD, Giannis, Donovan Mitchell, and Ja Morant. Zion on the other hand is irrelevant because he just doesn’t play for more than a couple months. Aside from his off court issues you might be lucky to get him on the court for more games than Paul George and Kawhi.

All that for Darius Garland ?! He hasn’t achieved anything to get that much worth especially 2FRP but the Murray trade is TERRIBLE!!!! These are not big names more like 3rd options
