With the Dallas Mavericks owning the 1st overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Mike Marshall and Ted Emrich take a deep dive into the game of the projected #1 overall prospect Cooper Flagg. Ted witnessed his game firsthand after calling many of his high school games. Mike takes an in-depth look into his past season at Duke and breaks down his game on both ends of the floor.

    NICO AND OWNERSHIP ARE ALIENATING THE CURRENT DALLAS FAN BASE ON PURPOSE….
    (Here’s why…warning…really long post…my take on it…lol)

    TRUE MFFLs BEWARE…They don’t WANT you as fans!

    No one thought Nico should have traded Luka. And even if they were to get past that major issue, there’s still the secondary problem of the total lack of commitment to maximize the trade with MUCH more than what they got in return for Luka..

    ASK YOURSELF THIS…

    FIRST….why would one of the most experienced GMs (previously of large companies) in the world makes seemingly stupid trade.

    SECOND…seeing the fan reaction, and looking at simple numbers…why would one of the smartest gambling business families in the world BACK such a trade?

    AND THIRD…why would they keep a GM that effectively tanked the runner up team in the finals last year? Not only keep him, but SUPPORT him?

    These people aren’t dumb. They are actually brilliant.

    Here’s my take on why they alienated the MFFL fan base en masse….

    CURRENT MFFLs are long term thinkers. This has been PROVEN by our commitment to Dirk over the TEN years it took to get us a championship. Why does the matter, you may ask. Because the current ownership DEOSN’T WANT long term thinkers as fans.

    Why not? Here’s my belief….it’s about what kind of fan is willing to GAMBLE on the games.

    I don’t believe that, you say. Well, lets look at some salient facts…

    1. The ownership has plainly stated that they want gambling to be a large part of the Mavericks future, what with a new state of the art facility AND CASINO COMBINED in the next few years.
    2. The ownership donated MILLIONS to Trump election efforts.
    3. Texas is RIGHT NOW talking about shutting the Texas Lottery down.
    4. There is also fresh legislation being introduced to legalize gambling in Texas.
    5. Guess who is pushing HARD for it?

    NOW….take it JUST ONE STEP FURTHER!

    1. It has been proven that people with deep loyalties tend to be conservative gamblers if they gamble at all.
    2. It has also been proven that people who are the “win now” (instant gratification types) are BY FAR heavier gamblers than loyal personality types.

    SIMPLY ADD IT ALL UP….NUMBERS DON’T LIE!

    By replacing the CURRENT, loyal MFFL fan base with a new “WIN NOW” type fan base, in the long run, the ownership can reap, NOT MILLIONS…BUT BILLIONS in gambling revenue.

    CONCLUSION: The current ownership DOESN’T WANT YOU, THE LOYAL MFFL!

    They want a new, “win now” fam base…one that will gamble away billions (that’s with a “B”) in the future.

    And on that note, I rest my case, lol.

    Kyrie will fix that layup issue for Flagg, Klay will help him with his pin downs, catch and shoot, AD will help him with defense and shot blocking, as well as paint foot work while Kidd keeps him grounded and molds him into a leader.
