Chicago Bulls TRADE Josh Giddey To The Portland Trail Blazers? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Chicago Bulls be trading away Josh Giddy to the Portland Trailblazers this 2025 NBA offseason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from Fadeaway World.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. But this trade would see the Chicago Bulls receiving Jeremy Grant, a 2028 first round draft pick and a 2030 first round draft pick from the Bucks as well as a 2031 second and the Portland Trailblazers receiving Josh Giddy. So, I understand if the Bulls want to kind of pivot into a full-on rebuild, why they might want to capitalize on players like Kobe White and even Josh Giddy’s value being relatively high given the years this past year uh for both of those players in Chicago. Josh Giddy especially down the stretch was a pretty important player uh to the Bull success and he’s still a pretty young asset as well. Now, if you look if you look back to that Caruso trade, um you know, right now, it’s obviously worked out quite well uh for the Thunder as they’re probably going to win an NBA championship if I had to predict and this is this could very well just be the start of many for them. But Josh Giddy’s still a pretty cool player and and and a pretty good player that I think the Portland Trailblazers would value quite a bit. The asking price is relatively high like two first round draft picks a second and Jeremy Grant. That is not nothing. Now, if the Trailblazers want out of the Jeremy Grant business, they may have to um include some draft capital, which is why maybe the Bulls are receiving such a, you know, uh quite a bit of a good package, I would say, in regards to future draft picks. So, I don’t know. This is a little bit sketchy for me. Like, if Portland wants to buy and give up some future draft capital, there probably will be some other players available this off season that they could maybe acquire. Now, Josh Giddy kind of fits the timeline of this team well. They of course have Scoot Henderson. They have Shaden Sharp. They have Anthony Simons. Um they have DeAndre Eton. So it’s a good young core in Portland. They’re definitely building something I would say pretty talented and pretty special that could potentially happen as early as next year when it comes to the playoffs. So I think Josh Getty fits in perfectly there. And if you’re able to get rid of the uh the bad contract of Jeremy Grant, truthfully speaking, I’m all for this risk if I’m the Portland Trailblazers. So, it’s one of those trades that kind of does benefit both teams in different ways. If you’re the Bulls, you’re giving up on a good young player, getting back an older, expensive player, but you’re getting some draft capital as well. And if you’re Portland, you’re getting a player that kind of fits the the outlook of this team for the long term. So, those are just kind of my thoughts. Leave yours down below.

He's not worth that much draft capital. There's no urgency for a non-tax-paying team to get off of Grant's contract.
Nope !
