First of all, how much did you enjoy watching the Knicks get eliminated? It’s not even like enjoy. It’s just like look look what I look where you ended up again. Like look, you name streets after a second round win or whatever. Congrats. Like I said, you beat the Celtics for Knicks fans of my age. That’s the biggest moment of your Knicks lifetime so far. just like you lost and now I’m excited to watch Pacers and Thunder. This guy gets it. All right. I think Carl Anthony Towns, if we’re removing Kevin Durant and Giannis from the from the discussion for the Kings, I think Carl Anthony Towns would be the best player they can get this off season. You think? Yes. You think better than Jaw or better than like I don’t know if he’s going to be available, but better than Jaw if he is available or better than Trey Young. I think Carl Anthony Towns right now is better than Jaw Mar. Hm. I think I would like Jaw position. I think I think I think Jaw would add more wins here compared to Cat. Cat’s a better Okay, for I’m sorry, maybe I’m making this too nuanced. I just think like poundfor-pound, he’s the best player they could get. Now, Fit you’d probably I I don’t I don’t hate the take that you’d rather have Jaw than Cat. I don’t hate that at all. But I think from a just potential AllNNBA perspective, I think Cat would be the would be the dude. Okay. I I mean I I don’t I think I’d rather have Trey Young and John Mar. Yeah. I don’t know. I’m intrigued by the idea of if you can make a deal like that work and if the Knicks are going to move off of him. Mhm. I’m not sure that they are, but if they are going to move off, I would not be shocked because where they’re at salary-wise is crazy and he’s a player who makes a ton of money and just continuously his his salary goes up and if he doesn’t fit what you’re trying to do and you know, like I think they might have players that they think can step up and do other things. I don’t know. I could see I could see them being like, “Okay, let’s just split his contract up into thirds and have a bunch of them like expiring stuff that saves us money in the long run.” And we’re the Knicks, we’ll be able to get somebody in here to help us. Would you trade for Carl Anthony Towns, Jesse? You’re the Yeah, if I’m the Kings, yeah, like Cat’s not my favorite player or anything like that, but the Kings aren’t trying to win championships right now. Like, he’s trying to get to the playoffs and Cat can help you do that. I think that’s a caveat that everyone I haven’t seen a single person be like, “Huge cat guy.” Yeah. love Anthony. Every single person’s like, I don’t like he’s fine. I guess he’s a good player. I just don’t like him that much. I think you’re having to move off of Dom though to get Cat. Cuz what was what was the deal you guys were talking about earlier? Dear uh so Willy said that Dear Carter and Monk works for Cat financially. Okay. I know the money works, but I don’t get why the Knicks would want that set of players. like you just got I don’t quite know where I think Devin Carter feels like a Tibs guy. Oh yeah, but I I think I don’t even know if I’m a Tibs guy from the New York Knicks, though. I think they would love Malik Mo there. Oh, for sure. Yeah, because that’s kind of what they’re missing. A dude who you just know you can like throw out there for 27 minutes and he’s going to give you like electric. Yeah. I don’t know. Yeah, I don’t think the Knicks are doing that. But like I I think I’d move on, bro. If that was a I don’t know that feels to me I’m cool off for playing domas and cat next to each other. Yeah, same. But I don’t know. I don’t know that that does that make you does that make you substantially better? I I’d rather have cat skill set than doases at this point. I think I’m past kind of building around. Like he’s not a top two player on my team. So it’s time to move on. H I’d rather take I’ll take cat scoring and I could figure out the rebounding and assist some other way. That’s kind of interesting. But is not a top two player on anyone’s team. He’s not a franchise player. None of that stuff. Like for the Kings, I think they’d be better. You’re just fully out. Yeah, he’s a good He’s a great player. He’s an all NBA caliber player, but he’s not like for what the Kings need and what they’re trying to build. It’s like, yeah, I’m cool right now. I don’t know that if I’m moving Domomas’s contract, I don’t know that Cat is the player I’d want to go get, if that makes sense. I mean, personally, I’d rather take a couple first round picks and insert player and player for Domas and kind of start and rebuild, but I don’t think that’s where this is headed. I don’t think it’s heading that way either. Yeah, that’s personally where I would go, but yeah, like that’s not happening. I don’t know. Yeah, my opinion has always been it’s it’s not Sabonis. It’s like you got to build a team. Like every team in the league has to build a team. I mean, look at we’re talking about the Knicks because they they could possibly shop cat, but they’re looking at like four like star level players like OG and Anovi. They’re paid like stars. They’re defensive. They’re two-way players. Like like they have they have a lot of talent. Like the Kings don’t have that talent around Tomas and they have it is is his but he they’re this is probably a can of worms we can’t get into in six minutes but here we go. It feels like though his contract makes it difficult to find the players they need to put around him. like he’s a the the level of player that they need is is a little bit higher than his contract allows. Does that make sense? Am I making sense? I I You’re saying like he’s kind of the way he’s like cuz because he’s paid I mean he was like paid like he was the top guy on this team and all that, right? You kind of have to build around that. Yes. You have to build as though he’s one of your two best guys. Yeah. Yeah. Sort of. But again, like his contract is not obscene. Like again, Tobias Harris getting like $39 million a year, that was obscene. Like that that didn’t make any sense. We’re not talking about that long. Tobias Harris. I would take Tobias Harris right now. Yeah. FYI, he’s aging. That’s fine. Yeah, he’s 6’8. You could shoot it a little bit. He can’t. He can’t. Yeah, but I mean, yeah, I do I do cap for doas. You can work around it however you want. I do that deal. I just don’t I I don’t know, man. Carl Anthony Towns feels like one of those guys, and I think there’s several guys like this in the league. Uh and there there might be more as as because we’ve kind of talked about today, the idea that, man, you can’t just go get a superstar anymore and be a top three team. Like the the depth is is too good in the league. Coaching’s too good in the league. The style of play does not lend itself to just, oh, hey, get a superstar and go win now. Like that’s just not So I’m interested to see like Carlanthony Towns is getting paid $50 million, right? And I kind of wonder if teams are going, “Yeah, but to make money work, we’re going to have to kind of gut our team, and we don’t think Cat is that dude who’s going to really carry us, so we’re just not going to trade for him.” Well, here you don’t have to gut the team. Hm. Man, I think you’re probably I like like like the money works on the D Rozan deal, but I just don’t think the Knicks like you were just at the Eastern Conference Finals and now you’re going to add a 36-y old Demar Rozan. Knicks get better if they have Domas. Um I think you’re at least about the same and you kind of rework the offense where you’re not like if instead of just Benson playing Iso the whole time, you can kind of work it through Domos and all that. You got opt options at that point. Do you want like do isn’t bad integrity of the Knicks. Domas isn’t bad or anything like that, but he’s just I don’t he can go help out a contender more than he can out here like here at this point. I think but if he can help out a contender then why wouldn’t you just try and do that here? Because you don’t have the guys like it’s not you’re not adding the New York Knicks around Damont Sabonis this off season. Sure. Like that makes sense. I think it’s easier to build around Cad and kind of their player or whatever and just get there with their score. Oh, we were looking at Denver earlier. That’s the funny like the ways that certain teams have to try to build right now. Like Denver, Denver has no first round pick every other year until 2031. They have no second round pick at all. They don’t have a single second round pick. They they on July 1st, they’ll get their 2032 second round pick. And if they want to move off of one of the contracts is hurting them right now, they’re going to have to give up that second round pick at least. Jeez, that’s brutal. Yeah, that’s tough. But the second apron stuff is working. Yeah. Like you’re already talking Jason Tatum gets hurt and now it’s like the Celtics are got to sell everybody. Yeah. It’s going to be interesting. Got to sell this off. Anyone want Zingis? Kings Warriors. No. No. Drew Holiday. I’ve been kind of talking trying to talk Sacramento out of Drew Holiday for the last two weeks. But he’s talk him into Drew Holiday. Talk him out. But if you want to take that money, go ahead. For the Celtics perspective. Oh, I see what you’re saying. Yeah. for the Kings. I don’t think you want that. I think it’s funny. Uh NBA Central the at Dunk Central, they posted the odds for the next start to land in Toronto. Uh this is through Bada. Okay. Uh Dana Sabonis plus 500. Jiannis Anticumbo plus 600. Zack Lavine plus 600. Demard Rosen plus 800. Three of the top four Kings players landing in Toronto. I think number one. Yeah, I think they have some sort of idea of a trade that maybe works that uh but that seems really we got the odds on right now. Hey, if it’s the Javier trade, I’m going to lose my mind. What was the Javier? I don’t know. Here’s the deal. Like, no, we love trade ideas. We There’s nothing more fun than preparing for a show and seeing somebody any rando has a trade idea. Yeah. Yeah. I will take it. If you’re going to call in with a trade idea, I need two teams max. And if it’s a third team, you go bring in a third team to make the money work, but here’s the two main guys or three main guys who the traders around. I can’t be having the like, you include this guy, and if they don’t want to include this guy and this guy, that’s too much. Yeah. Yeah. And I think, too, we need to have the trade machine pulled up. If it doesn’t work through there, then it’s just you’re cut off. Yeah. Yeah. We got to make sure these things work finally. Yes. Not just throwing stuff out. Absolutely. Absolutely.
