So, could the Memphis Grizzlies be trading away Jiren Jackson Jr. to the Golden State Warriors this 2025 NBA off season? So, my initial thoughts are is that if the Warriors are able to get one of the best enters in all of basketball and only give up Kaminga Moody and a firstround draft pick, that is a huge W in my books. Like, Jiren Jackson Jr. is a very solid player. Like, offensively speaking, he can contribute. Defensively speaking, he’s a presence as well. And this is actually pretty valuable to this Warriors team. If you can kind of add a starting center that provides some good defense, you can kind of have a good front court next year of Draymond Green and Jiren Jackson Jr. defensively. And this makes up for some shortcomings on players like Steph Curry, for instance, as well as some other players on this Warriors roster. So, I actually love the fit from a basketball perspective for the Warriors, but also too, I do believe that Jiren Jackson Jr. is entering the last year of his contract. So, this is a little bit of a risky move for the Warriors without an extension in place. So perhaps that could come with this trade. Maybe they have to go ahead and sign him to an extension. Whatever the case may be, but regardless basketball from basketball perspective, this makes a ton of sense for the Warriors. Now, if you’re the Grizzlies, I think he can probably get back a little bit more for Jiren Jackson Jr., maybe elsewhere. Like Kaminga is a good player, but in regards to a focal point of the trade, I I don’t love it personally. Maybe he goes to Memphis and plays tremendous. You never know, but I don’t know. I I wouldn’t really bank on that truthfully. Uh Moses Moody’s a good player to add as well. And that first round draft pick, truthfully speaking, might be pretty valuable. Like it’s six years from now from an older team. The Warriors could look drastically different by then, but that’s just a dice roll at this point. You you don’t know what’s going to happen. So, I think without a doubt, the winner of this deal is the Golden State Warriors. But, uh, as always, leave your thoughts.
