Multiple MAJOR Giannis Trade Updates – It just got REAL | Celtics News

It just got very real as we have multiple huge Giannis Edoopo trade updates as it pertains to the Boston Celtics as things have taken a major turn. We’re going to break down these new reports and discuss what this means going forward as Brad Stevens is preparing for something big. A ton to go over today, folks. And obviously one of the biggest talking points this off seasonason is Giannis and Doupono. And of course as it pertains to the Celtics as it pertains to the Bucks and other Eastern Conference teams and rivals as well as we know the Raptors are also heavily involved now in the Giannis sweep stakes. The Celtics according to a new report now have started to enter the sweep stakes even more. And let’s dive into it. We’ll start with the first report here from Brian Winhorse. You can see this here. Brian Winhorse believes the Celtics could be in play to make a trade for Giannis Edoopo. And obviously at this point there’s a lot of teams again in the Eastern Conference and just in general who are making plays or supposedly going to be making plays for Giannis, but the Celtics are a team that in a in a bit of a sneaky fashion here have started to climb up the rankings as of late. And it’s due to the fact that they do have the assets to go out and make a compelling offer. And of course, Brian Winhorse is pretty tuned in when it comes to trades. And he says that he believes the Celtics could be in play to make a trade. Now, this report was from a couple days ago. And then you also have this report from Winhorse that came out today and yesterday. I had an executive tell me yesterday that he thinks that this could be an explosive summer. And there’s been a lot of reports as of late about how crazy this summer is going to be and all these different things. But this is the most recent one here. And you can see this here. The father of potential lottery picks says the Milwaukee Bucks have contacted his son and have been doing background research on him despite not owning a first round pick. Milwaukee doesn’t have a pick in the first round, not even in the top 10, but they’re asking about my son and wanting to know a little bit more information. They’ve called and I don’t understand why they have interest unless they plan on making a move. So at this point it seems like the Bucks are almost acting as if a Giannis trade is going to happen and based on the reports we’re hearing from Shams based on the report reports we’re of course hearing from Winhorse. With each passing day it becomes more likely that Giannis is going to get let go of Milwaukee and the Celtics are primed to make a big splash here. And obviously we know Tatum is going to be out next season and we obviously know of course the Celtics they have a lot of assets. We’ll dive into some rumors and reports about what a trade would look like. And I’m curious to see what your guys’ thoughts are surrounding that particular trade. But I think now that it’s gotten very real, especially regarding the Celtics actually, you know, or the Bucks, sorry, actually making Giannis fully available. Rumbling started. We know Shams and according to Shams at this point, the Bucks and Giannis, at least as of a few days ago, haven’t had the full meeting yet about his future in Milwaukee. But more and more reports are starting to come out again with the Raptors and things like that. And if you’re the Celtics and Brad Stevens, you have to be making a call here for Giannis and at least put your best offer forward because let’s dive into now what it would kind of look like. Now, you can see this article that dropped here. Giannis Jaylen Brown trade. Celtics could pursue a tentacmpo. The Boston Celtics are reportedly preparing for a potential trade pursuit of Giannis while also shopping key stars like Jaylen Brown, Drew Holidayiday, Christopheringis, and Derek White. Now, we know they’re going to end up trading a couple of these guys named here. Uh they’re probably going to keep Derrick White and and Jaylen Brown could be on the trade block depending on the trade, but Drew Holiday and Christopheringis. We know all the rumors coming out about those guys being traded, but if the Celtics want to make a move for a player like Giannis and Enakmpo, the package could be fairly compelling. Now, you’re going up against teams like New Orleans, teams like the San Antonio Spurs, a lot of teams that are going to have very compelling packages as well. And of course, this will all rely on all come down to ultimately what the Milwaukee Bucks want. But rumors are that Giannis wants to stay in the Eastern Conference. So when you’re looking at Eastern Conference teams there, that narrows it down quite a bit if that is the case. But you’re also looking at teams such as again the Toronto Raptors most notably are probably the hottest team right now in pursuit of Giannis according to these reports. But there’s other teams as well. And if you’re the Celtics, you need to at least again make an offer. Now whether or not you guys think it’s a good idea, let me know down below. But there’s been a lot of different, you know, reports and rumors coming out. out. And this was an article dropped by ESPN ranking some of the teams that could be in pursuit of Giannis. And the Celtics are right here. And of course, this was um before I think the Celtics got fully eliminated as it says they were down two to one against the Knicks. We obviously know what happened there. And of course, with the Tatum injury, but the free agents coming to this team, Al Horford, Luke Cornet, Tory Craig, and JD Davidson with team option, and they have the rookie scale uh contracts, but some of the sizable contracts now making salary work for Giannis would not be difficult at all. It would actually be, you know, quite easy. I don’t think that’s a big deal. Jaylen Brown 53.1 million. He’s at UFA in a few years in 2029. He would be in a Giannis trade the centerpiece. We know it doesn’t seem like the Bucks if they’re trading Giannis want to just completely go out and tank because they had years and years a decade basically of tanking and not making the playoffs and all their fans being upset. I think if they were to trade Giannis it would be for win now players with picks. And of course you have Drew Holidayiday, Chris Alpzingis, Sam Hower. There’s a bunch of different things he might trade Sam Hower. But this trade gained a ton of traction on Twitter and I’m curious to see. Let me know right now in the comments section just yes or no and why would you do this trade if you’re the Boston Celtics. Now this one is Jaylen Brown, Chris Rozingis and two first round picks for Jiannis Andoupo and Kyle Koosma in this scenario. Now I’m going to go ahead and say it. I think I would do this deal. Of course Chris is probably going to be traded regardless. You’re giving up two first round picks and we’ll dive into what first round picks to have here in a minute. But again, Jaylen Brown is the absolute headline of this deal. So, if you’re the Celtics, you’re getting Giannis and Kyle Kosma. And Kyle Kousma’s contract’s not necessarily a good one. And the Koosma one is a bit of a wild card here because it would help you in theory towards, you know, winning now if you’re the Celtics. But at the same time, Koozma really wasn’t great for the Bucks. He was good at times for the Wizards. Not exactly convinced that Koozma is going to be a winning player, but obviously the headliner is Giannis and Akmpo. And that would allow the Celtics, of course, you’re swapping Giannis for Jaylen Brown. You’re also giving up Christophs and two future first round picks. I would assume unprotected, but this allows the Boston Celtics now to be competitive this upcoming year. We’ll dive into what the team would look like, but be competitive the upcoming year while Tatum is hurt. And then in theory, I mean, you could, assuming, you know, some steps in the young guys, be at least competitive, very competitive in the Eastern Conference with Giannis. Every team would be, but then the year after, assuming, you know, Tatum makes a full recovery, you still have a core then of Giannis and Jason Tatum for at least a few years in their primes, especially Jason Tatum’s prime. I think this would, you know, make sense for a ton of reasons, especially because it would allow them to remain competitive while also, you know, in the present and the future. And you look at some of the picks that they own. So, it’s going to be interesting. Of course, you see here the 2025 first round pick, they own the Wizard second round pick. 2026, 2027, of course, in 2028, they don’t own the first round pick. Uh they can get swapped, of course, depending on what happens. And then 2030 and 2031, they have a lot of first round picks that they can use here. And of course, this trade is giving up two first round picks, I would assume. And it doesn’t name the dates. The further down the line you get, the more valuable in theory the picks are because you know, but again for this upcoming year, the Celtics, depending on what moves they make, may not be a fantastic team. And you look at their current lineup and it’s Derrick Wright, Drew Holiday, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Christos for taking of course Jason Tatum is out. There’s some rumblings about Al Horford being gone. I believe Bruce covered that earlier today. So you look at of course the team Derrick White, I do think he stays. He’s a winning player on a very good contract. Drew Holiday. Still some rumblings about him going, but if you trade for Giannis and you’re able to keep Drew Holiday, of course, they had chemistry back in Milwaukee, it makes things extremely extremely interesting. They won a championship back in Milwaukee in 2021 and now you’re looking at it from the perspective of let’s say Derek Wright, Drew Holiday, Giannis Adentacmpo, and then you fill out the rest of the team. And of course, you know, whether they keep Sam Hower, Pton Pritchard is a guy who can probably be, you know, six man of the year candidate again, assuming that he doesn’t start if they bring Giannis in. you make some additions then in the offseason. There’s a lot of available paths here if they make this trade. And you still have other first round picks that, you know, there you could use to make moves as well. And of course into the future, free agency signings, of course, those are going to be very difficult with the current cap hit and the way that the, you know, Celtics are, they’re trying to trim and shed salary because the luxury tax, but it’s very interesting and it got very real. And ultimately, let me know down below, would you do this deal? Of course, Jaylen Brown being the headliner. It’s an interesting one. Um, especially with some pending free agents that the, you know, Celtics have, they would have to make some other additions around. But if you go out and get Giannis, the rest will work itself out and ultimately I think that this will be a very interesting and compelling trade. You know, that would obviously benefit the Celtics. But of course, there’s going to be a lot of other teams in competition. They have one of the best offers with a win now move. We know the Bucks want a win now player. Jaylen Brown is arguably the best win now player they can get back in the Eastern Conference. So, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens. Let me know down below what your thoughts are.
