“Phoenix is aggressive in pursuit of a) trading Kevin Durant and b) regaining full control of their draft capital starting with the No. 10 pick in next month’s draft, team sources said. Since the conclusion of the season, Houston has fielded several calls from Phoenix, who have since gradually lowered their asking price for Durant, those sources said. There is a price where the Rockets would be interested, but with a fear of breaking up their roster for a 36-year-old coming off injury, doubt remains over a deal materializing.”

I’d be devastated as a Heat fan if we traded Ware for 37 year old KD. Feels like 20 steps backwards.
Nah. No Kel el. Include Jovic instead and market him as a center. Ha ha I’d trade Rozier, Wiggins, Jovic and jjj a first rd pick and take back Royal’s salary. Ware averaged 22.2 minutes as a rookie, multiply his stats by 1.5 to represent 33.3 starters minutes and you get over 11.5 rebounds, probably two blocks with consistent minutes and top 5-7 in the league in those categories. Plus very high FG%

If Miami does that, it's game over! Here is a rookie that WE drafted, that embodies the culture, that could be the face of the franchise in the years to come and that we trade for a player (no douubt KD is a great player) that has 1 or 2 more years in his tank… don't morgage our future. The best teams in the league have built from the draft. Let us build from the ground up. Miami has proven time and time again that they can draft, we have a great and stable coaching staff… it's better to just trade high value players for drafr capital, maintain the players that embodt the culture (Mitchell, Ware, Bam…) and wait for the right free agent, if needed.
