Could Cooper Flagg REALLY Be TRADED!?
Can you imagine months after trading Luca Donic, the Dallas Mavericks trade the number one overall pick, aka Cooper Flag. What is up NBA fans? Shout out to my San Antonio Spurs fans. Welcome to TSR Sports. And Miss TSR shared an article with me yesterday about potential trade scenarios for Cooper Flag 2. The Spurs, the Suns, the Cavaliers, the Lakers, and the Bulls. Oh my. This is going to be a live reaction to this article. I’ve seen this part here staying with Dallas, but I’ve not seen the rest. Of course, I’ll be a little biased as a Spurs fan with their trade, but I really want to take a look at this and see if any of these trade scenarios make sense and could realistically happen. Let’s get into Let’s get into it. Offer number one. The Spurs move up to build the front court of the future. The Spurs get the number one pick. What do the Mavericks get? I can’t see it yet. I’m going to guess the number two pick. the number 14 pick. We had third pick in the future, 2030 or 31. Probably that pick and then another first round pick maybe. So Harper the four what will be Dylan Harper the second pick 14th pick and then two future first. That’s my guess. What do we got? Dallas Mavericks get 2025 second pick 2025 14th pick 2027 Atlanta Hawks first rounder and return of the swap rights to Mavericks 2030 first round. Okay, I did not seriously I did not look at this article. I pretty much nailed it, right? 214 a future firstrounder and their pick back or the swap rates back. So, not an actual pick, the swap rates. I thought it was a pick. Okay. Um, would the Mavericks do it? Does it make sense? Let’s talk about this. I’m going to dig into this article a little bit. The ultimate goal is a pair flag and WBY, of course, the number one hype pick of the decade. The Spurs just missed out winning the lottery. They have the assets that might monetize Dallas to swap number one for number two. Okay. What should it cost to move up in the draft? In 2017, the 76ers needed to send only a single future firstrounder to Boston to jump from three to one. But that’s not especially useful model here because then Celtics GM Danny A didn’t view Markeel Folz, the contestants top process prospect in 2017 as favorably as everyone views Flag this year. All right, so let’s recreate an older draft to build the Spurs offer. Okay, I like what they’re doing here. In 1993, the Warriors sent three future first in the Orlando Magic to facilitate a swap of the number three pick Penny Hardway for number one pick Chris Weber. That draft changed the lottery by Shaq and then Weber. Yeah, that changed everything. That’s all I’ll say. That’s why we have a current lottery. That sounds about right here with Flag filling in for Weber who like Flag was a mega prospect coming off a standout college career and Dylan Harper filling in for Hardway as a big dynamic guard. To bridge the gap between this prospects, San Antonio would have to send three draft assets to help Dallas replenish its rather barren draft board. The Mavericks would add a late lottery pick this year, a potential attract attractive unprotected Hawks pick in 27, which I mean that believes the Spurs would have no first rounders in 27. Correct. We already traded our pick to Sacramento for Jarm Fox, I believe, and then the Hawks pick, which who knows what that’ll be worth at time. Then their turn of their own swap rights, which they initially sent to San Antonio and the three team signing trade deal that brought Grant Williams to Dallas. This this article is a lot longer than I realized it was going to be. Here’s the closing. This probably one of my now that I know the out, you know, the setup here, I might just read the last paragraph so we can speed things up. This trade would make a ton of sense for San Antonio, which could establish its front court of the future and perhaps the front court that would dominate the NBA for the foreseeable future while not losing any of its own future draft selections. And as long as the Mavericks like Harper anywhere close to flag Oh jeez, don’t blame me on that one. Bad choice of words. Don’t kill me on that. Anywhere close to as much as they like Flag, this swap would also make a ton of sense for them. All right, so at least let’s reverse the trade real quick. Although I should have in my head, it’s what I guessed it would be. You’re getting two picks in the first round this year in a deep draft, a pick in two years, and then getting your swap rights back. So that’ll it obviously makes sense for the Spurs. We have a crowded back court. Deion Fox, De Mo, Stefon Castle for the Mavericks. How much better because I don’t watch college hoop much. How much better is flag over Harper? That’s three picks plus the swap back. Uh I guess with Yeah, swap right back. Um I could see this happening. Kyrie Irving is out for he’s going to miss at least the first half of the season, right? Somewhere around the All-Star break. Dylan Harper could be their point guard of the future as Kyrie is getting older. He’s been injuryprone in his career, too. This actually makes sense. Do I think it’ll happen? No. Would I like to see it happen? Yes. Wy, Flag, I don’t know here. Castle and Fox. Yeah, I I’d be all on board for this. Of course, if Flag ends up being a bust and Harper becomes a superstar, then it’ll be bad on us. And of course, vice versa. Harper become a star uh Flag become a superstar. Harper’s a bust. Who the heck knows? We never know how these picks are going to play out. We we can guess, but I think it won’t happen, but it it’s it makes sense. Offer number two. Oh my gosh, this is a Cavs form new star tree on flag mobileing Gardens. The Mavericks get Don Mitchell, a 20 31 first round pick, a 2028 first round swap, and a 2030 first round swap. Cavs get Cooper flag. guards Javon Carter and Gabe Vincent, Maxi Cleaver, PJ Washington and Daniel. Well, this is this is a lot of moving parts. The Lakers get Jared down, which they do need a big and then the Bulls get Dalton connect four, Caleb Martin, a second three second round picks. This I don’t even want to look at this cuz this thing is confusing and I don’t have an hour to break this down. This is ridiculous. This is way too much going on. Way too many moving parts. I’m just going to say no just because it’s too convoluted. It’s It’s too messy. I think not. We’re gonna move on. All right. A trade. That’s two teams. The Mavs pick up Booker and Elite. Oh, all right. So, the Mavericks get Devin Booker, a firstrounder this year. Late first rounder. A 2020 firstrounder. That’s the first rounder to 2029 first round pick swap. The Suns get Cooper Flag. Klay Thompson, PJ Washington, Naji Marshall, and Caleb Martin. You’re tr Wow. So, you’re essentially replacing Klay Thompson with Deon Booker. This one is tough, guys. What do you think? Getting an established all-star with Deon Booker for somebody that might be a a star in Cooper Flag. I don’t know about this one. The Dallas Mavericks are more in win now mode and the Suns are in blow it up mode. that Beal, Booker, Durant did not work whatsoever. They’re going to be stuck with Beal until his contract’s over, which is what, one or two years. KD’s obviously I’m going to try to move on from him at the end. Uh, it makes sense for the Suns. I don’t know. Mavericks fans, I know those of you that watch the channel, would you trade the number one pick for Devin Booker? What’s the last paragraph say? In the hypothetical scenario in which Durant is moved before the draft, the Suns being able to include potential assets from such a deal would also like a deal most likely allow them to make a more competitive offer than was being suggested here. Okay, so it’s it’s contingent on Durant moving, but that that’s okay. And the one trade that is hard to pass on. Wait. Oh, I thought All right. So, I got confused. I thought when I saw all these teams up here that the Lakers were and they were trying to say the Lakers could get Cooper flag. This is just them being part of the trade. All right. So, I got confused. I did say there was going to be a live reaction to it. All right. So, it’s actually Dallas keeping Cooper, the Spurs, and the Suns. These other teams are part of a big trade. Did not realize that. Did not read the article first because I wanted to do a live reaction. I’m going to jump back to the Spurs one. Not a Spurs fan. Would I do this? If I’m Brian Wright, would I trade the number two pick, the number 14 pick, the Hawks first rounder, and the swap rights to their 2030 first rounder? Actually, I look over this, I think that might be a little too much. Is the number one pick that much further away from the number two pick in cards of value? I tell you what I I would do on this 100%. The number two pick, the number 14 pick, and the swap rights. I think we try to keep the 2027 Hawks firstrounder and instead maybe putting that in, give them two second round picks. So that way you’re giving them five essentially five picks total. I think that’s a little too much, but I could see it happening on the spur. I could see offering that. I just don’t know if Dallas is going to be willing to make a trade like this because they had the Luca Dantic trade a few months ago. Fans were obviously upset as they should be. And then if you trade Coop, you know, essentially trade Cooper flag, are fans going to go to Dallas and burn down the arena? Don’t do that. By the way, this be interesting how things play out. I’ve talked about on this channel about the Spurs trying to trade up for him. There are other teams that certainly could do so as well. It’s going to be an interesting what next three and a half weeks to see what happens. It’s going to be fun. I’ll keep an eye on things, of course, charter report news when it comes through. This was fun uh going over this. Drop a comment down below. Do you think any of these trade scenarios could happen? Do you think the Spurs could pull it off? Do you think the Suns could pull it off by trading Deon Booker or that four team convoluted trade that I barely looked at that actually makes sense to you? Like TSR, that one’s good. Should with that. Like, comment, subscribe, all that good stuff. Thank you. And as always, go Spurs go. The giant sting.
Reacting to some trade proposals from ESPN, could Dallas trade Cooper Flagg if the price is right?

ESPN made some interesting trade scenarios, do you think any of them could really happen? Thanks for watching!

I love this trade proposal although with the addition of COOPER FLAGG What are we getting and giving up for it?? # What were getting is a younger Giannis in Cooper there about the same Height and cooper can shoot the three but maintains his post presence.
I’m wondering…whether the gap between Flagg and Harper is that huge…imo…max offer is 2nd, 14th and 2 1st round for Flagg…
I can do 3 picks for Flagg; 2025 #2, 2027 Atlanta hawks 1st round, and 2030 Dallas swap rights. Spurs keep 2025 #14. Dallas will still be getting #2 this year which is still worth a lot
One thing we can all agree on:
The spurs future is set up so nicely🙌🏽
If they do this, how would they beat a team of Fox, Castle, Flagg, Wemby, and Barnes or Sochan for the next 5 years?
Whatever happens draft night or this offseason, remember that spurs have the leverage here. There’s no need to look into all of this and stress it lol. I would love Flagg to land with the spurs, but everything is leading me to believe Nico will not mess up twice in one year.
Yes yes yes!!! sold your soul for a jelly roll!!!🎉🎉🎉
Spurs! Keep Building Threw The Draft With Veteran Players on Team Friendly Deals 💰
Listen i'm a spurs fan and i will personally crash out on behalf of the mavericks fans if they trade cooper
I’d be very surprised if he got traded, but Nico has done crazier things 😂
Flaggs people support the trade to San Antonio. But donthe Spurs want to trade up?
We need to seriously do trade w/ Dallas in some fashion. We have too many guards N they have too nany bigs. Let make a deal Nico!!!
I believe Flagg can force himself out of Dallas by refusing to sign after the Mavs draft him. If he is willing to sit out the whole year, then he would be a free agent at the beginning of the following. season. That would be a nightmare for the Mavs, and they would have to try desperately to save face, and the Spurs could probably give them the most value for Flagg. Would Flagg take the gamble though?
Flagg won’t be that effective early in his career if he gets drafted by the Mavs. Why? There’s always that ‘what if’ if even Luka can get traded, why can’t Flagg, right? Only a few white players in NBA history became real superstars. You’ve got Larry Bird, Dirk Nowitzki, Jerry West, John Stockton, Steve Nash, and Pete Maravich. More recently, there’s Jokic and Luka. That’s not a lot considering the whole history of the league.
If Flagg ends up with the Mavericks, sure he’ll play, but Davis isn’t effective at the 5. Five years from now, Flagg might be as fat as Luka and get traded again. His body looks like it’s built more for fat than muscle.
But if you run him with Wemby at the 3 and 4, that team would be a must-watch. The Spurs would be back. But honestly, I don’t think that’s going to happen. I like Harper more he’s half Pinoy and I want to see him play with Wemby. The Spurs could have their own Jokic and Murray combo. 🤣
Spurs get more value from trading the pick down, not up to help the damned Mavs. I certainly would not give them pick 14 along with swapping first and second picks. Screw 'em. As I keep saying, Brian Wright is not stupid. Nico Harrison is. Let him figure it out.
Wright is going to keep those Hawks picks. Hawks are not going to be a playoff team.
Nope Just a dream… sadly.
That would be phenomenal. . . I think. Surely Dallas wouldn’t do that even though it could really help them.
harper can be an offensive engine like cade, lebron, harden, luka. i see flagg as a top tier role player like draymond, aaron gordon, amen thompson
We could also include Harrison Barnes in a trade for Cooper. He is kinda at an inflection point in his career where his value will only go down as he moves into his late thirties. I think Dallas would like to add Harper and Barnes to their lineup (plus some picks).
It would hurt to lose Barnes 3pt shot but worth it for flagg
If I'm in Brian Wright's seat I'd jump all over this. I don't think Dallas moves the right to select Flagg unless they already had something lined up to get Giannis (which would make the Doncic trade make more sense from a long term vision standpoint, even if you disagreed with said vision).
Naw, that's way too much for a simple swap that will be ultimately beneficial to both teams. I would offer the swap of #2, & #38 maybe, & the return of the swap rights in 2030. That's it though… The Spurs need that #14 pick… It's almost just as important as the #2, considering that they need a strong 💪 PF desperately, along with a backup Center. If they could sign Naz Reid, then no sweat💦 or if they could sign Capella/Adams/Turner/Lopez, then that would be fine, but until then… N🚫‼️
Dylan harper actually makes more sense for the mavs than the spurs.
