I still say package Miles, 4th and maybe our early 2nd rounders and Nurkic for a player who can really help us win now. I’m tired of being tired. We been rebuilding ever since Kemba and Big Al left…I’m tired😂
Like, I get how this team and last season specifically can get you down, but what's the point in talking about these draft picks if you don't even see any improvements either way lol. I hate all this misery and the misery that's always projected by Hornets fans. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
It's not the players. Ownership and Management have other goals. It's making money for themselves. Not investing in high talent. They've been consistent in their scheme for years. Look at the Hawks. Dont spend money Schnall mentality. We need a splash player that can singlehandedly dominate a game physically. Trade Williams, trade Bridges, give the 4th away. Big deal. They'll be fine. We'll be great. And not the mockery of the NBA
Darien, I think Hornets should pick Tre Johnson, a guy shooting 40%+ from 3pt. Regularly had to make difficult shots due that Not good Texas team. And I believe with a 6'10" wingspan can become a good defender. So that's my 2 cents brother 😎💪🏾👌🏾

I'd much rather prefer VJ Edgecombe over Knueppel ngl. Nothing against Knueppel, I just feel like AT BEST he'd be a taller Nickeil Alexander-Walker… while at worst, he'd be a Corey Kispert…. while VJ at his best could be a Oladipo or Dwade, while at worst could be an Aaron Niesmith or Andrew Wiggins.
I wouldn't pick VJ at 4. He can't shoot, dribble and he don't take over games. I would take Tre Johnson over VJ. He has the same vertical as VJ. But for me I think the Hornet should trade down and draft Maluach. We all know Williams not coming back next season. I also think the Hornets should trade Melo this off-season. He's not a leader and his play doesn't impact winning basketball. Trading Melo and moving up to take Harper should be seriously considered here. So that said, I say Tre, Ace Bailey, VJ, Maluach and Kon in that order.
I think they should pick Tre Johnson. VJ reminds me of MKG; good defense but not good enough with shaky offense. VJ has no left hand game & if he's not dunking, he can't make a layup, absolutely no finesse around the basket. Tre Johnson is a bonafide bucket getter with a longer wingspan. Tre J doesn't play defense as good as VJ but his offense is WAAAY better than VJ's defense. Plus you can coach Tre J's defense up with that long wingspan. I just don't see VJ's offense getting much better…like MKG. 🤷🏿♂️
What?! I don't think drafting Tre Johnson means that Miller or Melo is leaving! Where did you get that from?! That makes absolutely no sense. NONE of these drafted players are going to be a main cog in helping the team win next year! The real key to winning next year is the players remaining healthy, not trying to rely on a rookie…c'mon man! 🤦🏾♂️👎🏾

The Hornets should take Bailey (if available) because of his talent. His game reminds me more of Paul George's, than Miller's does. Especially after finding out Bailey is only 6'7. Ace has better handles and finishing at the basket, but Brandon has a smoother jump shot. The Hornets can take a chance because they're more talented than their draft position. They just need to make a few trades and get/remain healthy.
Tre Johnson for me dawg. Tre compared to VJ… Tre is Younger, taller, a better shooter, a better dribbler, passer, playmaker… jumped higher at the combine, and had a better wingspan.
VJ could be a star… or end up being Dennis Smith Jr if the shot and playmaking dont improve.
The league is about shooters even if they cant defend that great. Curry, Herro, and the like.

I say Pick knueppel – or trade the pick to Brooklyn for 8/19 – pick whoever falls 8 and 19 Walter Clayton jr – or trade mark Williams for pick 15-20 to get Clayton – draft 2 centers in the second round – maxime raynaud / vlad Goldin or Hansen Yang

I think our coach wants to play similar to the Celtics, because he found success as an assistant in their system. He wants to shoot 3s! A lot of them.
As much as Yal try to hype up Konuepel, I don’t see him as a lottery pick. Hes got a college game, in a system where he’s running off down screens for open shots. In the NBA everyone is bigger and faster, he’s not gonna get those shots off.
Ace Bailey is a worse Brandon Miller
Tre Johnson is a better Tre Mann
Vj Edgecome is a better Josh Green
Kon Knipple is a floor raiser/connector like Grant Williams, which every team needs IMO.
3/4 of these players will be available. It just depends on what the team values more.
VJ is looking like Anthony Edwards to me. Got that same type of athleticism and has better shooting splits than Edwards did in college. Plus we need a good wing defender BAD.
I wish we trade up for Dylan Harper. Harper, B Mill Duo is a power move. And trade Everyone for Veterans

I like the attributes of VJ and like you said he can make an immediate impact especially on defense and driving to the basket. The Victor Oladipo comparisons I can see in VJ and would fit the Hornets DNA 🙌🏻🏀
At first I was more for VJ Edgecombe, but now I'm leaning towards Tre Johnson, he has more size than VJ, and he's more of a bucket getter, granted Tre isn't as good of a defender as VJ, but with a 6'10" wingspan and being 6"6" he could somewhat get in the passing lanes, and I think offensively Tre will really help the Hornets,
