The hornets arent our rivals. Their more like friends. Lots of former celtics there.
Heres how i'd do the deal (trade legal):
Bos gets: mark williams, 1 2nd rd pick from atlanta, 2 2nd rd picks from charlotte
Cha gets: KP
Atl gets: nurkic
Atlanta gets a needed backup big. Charlotte gets an upgrade at the big spot while tillman goes there to take nurkclic backup spot. Boston getS 7M under the 2nd apron before signing their rook, luke and al along with a few 2nds.
I wouldnt do that deal because we stupidly give up 2 1sts AND the better player AND we take on a bad contract in josh green. That deal is an utter fleece for the hornets and a stupid deal for the celtics. The Cs dont even cut salary in that deal.
I wonder what it would look like to get possibly a John Collins or a Santi Aldama who are both available annnnnd both a PF/C. My thoughts, they could potentially replace KP at a fraction of the price. Not to mention, both are younger than KP. Food for thought.
