Kevin Durant Wants Spurs Trade! Offseason News Update

Yo, y’all gonna stop coming in my live talking about this Victor dude. Bro, we hooping this here. Y’all going to [Music] see. All right, team. Today we have some very good news. I got this notification sent to my group chat earlier today and I was like, “Oh, yeah. We got to make a video about this.” So, shout out to the Dunk Central, Gambo, Jeff G, Fullcourt Pass, whoever got this information out of Kevin Durant’s camp. Thank you. And so the post says, “People in Kevin Durant’s camp are eyeing San Antonio as a landing spot per gambo. He is a sports radio talk show host on Arizona Sports. So y’all go ahead and give him a follow. Shout out to him for getting this info. But is this surprising?” I don’t think it is. I’ve said this time and time again. Players are going to want to come play with Victor Wimyama. We saw it with De’aran Fox. We saw it with AJ Debansa. And now we’re seeing it with Kevin Durant. Now we have talked about Kevin Durant for a little while on this page. And I do want Kevin Durant, but I want him at the right price. I don’t want to sell the farm to get an aging Kevin Durant. Although I say aging like he’s not averaging over 25 points a game. And I think he has a chance to keep that streak alive. But this is very important for the Spurs because I think this lowers the price for Kevin Durant on top of we’re going to go over another report in a little bit, but the fact that his preferred destination is San Antonio, I think that lowers the price for the Spurs. And so if it’s the Spurs and Rockets offering about the same package, the Suns are going to lean towards San Antonio because that’s Kevin Durant’s landing spot that he wants to go to. And I accidentally pulled up the wrong report. I got sent. Hold up. Okay, this is the post that I wanted to show y’all. The Phoenix Suns have reportedly lowered their asking price for Kevin Durant. Phoenix is aggressive in pursuit of a trading Kevin Durant and b regaining full control of their draft capital starting with the number 10 pick in next month’s draft which I believe that is Houston’s pick. As of right now, Houston has fielded several calls from Phoenix. There is a price where the Rockets would be interested, but there is a fear of trading their whole roster for a 36-year-old coming off an injury. The Rockets do have a little bit of an edge because they own Phoenix’s picks. But if the Spurs could give like an equivalent offer, I think they will go with the Spurs because like we saw earlier, Kevin Durant wants to be a Spur. And with them lowering their asking price, Kevin Durant wanting to be a Spur, I think you can get Kevin Durant for a really good deal. I know the most popular package we have seen is Vel Harrison Barnes in the 14th pick. And we’re going to talk about that a little bit later, but I think the Spurs can get him for even cheaper. So, as of right now, we don’t know what this lowered asking price is exactly. In my opinion, I think Kevin Durant would be worth one to two max of first round picks. Would I give up two first round picks for Kevin Durant? I don’t think I would. That is unless we are doing a three team trade. And that’s where we’re going to talk about this post right here. A trade package from the Spurs for Kevin Durant would most likely include Devin Vel, Harrison Barnes, and the 14th overall pick. So, with the lowered asking price, if the Spurs can get a third team, and I’m not ruling that out because Brian Wright is a gradea finesser, he just knows how to make trades. So, I I can’t cancel out the possibility of Brian Wright just fleecing the Suns or fleecing whatever team we get to trade with. If he brings in a third team, I think you can keep a Deon Vel or a Harrison Barnes, whichever one you want to keep. I mean, Deon Vel is obviously more valuable. But like in the Fox trade, if you can get another team to help with that salary filler because we don’t have that many bad contracts. I mean, we got rid of Zack Collins, which was our worst contract. We just need to find a way for the money to match. So, I think the best way to do that would be getting in a selling team who wants to get off the Cam Johnson. Maybe if it’s the Nets, a team like the Wizards, just any tanking team that will be willing to jump into this trade, maybe get a first round pick and give up some salary so they could send it to the Suns so the Spurs can keep one of these players. I’m not going to do a trade package right now. I will be interested to see y’all’s trade packages. So, y’all cook them up, leave them down below in the comments section, and maybe we do a video where we go over everyone’s trade package for Kevin Durant. As a matter of fact, I like that. But y’all make sure to drop y’all’s Kevin Durant trade packages down below in the comment section because I am thinking of doing a video where we go over all the Kevin Durant trade packages and seeing which ones we like best. And of course, those packages would be created by y’all. So, if y’all want to join the video, if y’all want to show all of us what y’all are thinking for the Kevin Durant trade, y’all leave it down below in the comment section. So, there are some ways that the Spurs could cook up a Kevin Durant deal without giving up too much. They are going to have some competition with the Rockets, but hopefully the Rockets are stingy and they don’t want to give up anything for Kevin Durant. So, we’re going to have to see how this unfolds. Nonetheless, this is really good news for the Spurs being that Kevin Durant wants to be in San Antonio. The Suns have lowered their asking price for Kevin Durant, and the Spurs have assets to trade for a player like Kevin Durant. So, y’all be sure to leave a like, like I said, comment down below and subscribe to Spurs Spotlight. Until next time, it has been your boy Chris, and I’ll catch y’all later. I’m out. [Music]

  1. The current situation for the Suns is really tricky.
    1) The Suns tried to trade KD at the trade deadline without informing him. This is something you just can't do with your franchise player. KD is now pissed off and he shouldn't be pleasant with his current franchise but will think about him.
    2) They have to trade KD because they could just lose him next summer (for nothing) and because they need to lower their luxury tax and move under the 2nd apron.
    3) KD has only one year left on his contract and can now choose his destination by just telling to other franchises that he won't resign with them. No teams will send 51M$ of players in exchange of a one-year rental of KD.

We should be very surprised by the final prize for KD at the end because the Suns will receive what the chosen team (by KD) will agree to send.
I am even not sure that the Suns will receive any first round picks for KD !!

  2. Vassel+KJ+14th pick +Hawks 27, it would be nive to keep Barnes as he is a good 3-point shooting and we have tons of guards

  3. For the 2 yr rental

    Spurs receive: Durant

Suns receive: Keldon Johnson, Malaki Branham and 3 future 2nd rd picks

  4. If the Spurs give a first away for Durant They are stupid. Dude is like 40 years old. We don’t need him.

  5. The report says KD is interested to be a spur, not spurs are interested
I dont like giving up the 14th pick due to good talent there at 14 like a carter bryant or rasheer fleming, solid wings on a cost controlled rookie contract.
Im not on the side of going for KD or Giannis cause we already have our GUY and its Wemby, so just build around him with small trades and through the draft organically like how the thunder and rockets did it
