So the talk of the town the last little bit in Toronto or even in Canada for that matter has been the mutual interest reported uh between Giannis and the Raptors franchise. So with Giannis’ future in Milwaukee pretty uncertain to this point, he could very well ask for a trade this off season. Many expect the Raptors to be one of the top suitors to land him as there’s been some reports about how anyone is on the table in Giannis’s conversation. So uh this means players like Scotty Barnes, players like Brandon Ingram, uh players like, you know, Yaka Purle, RJ Barrett, you name it. All these guys are available. And if you’re the Toronto Raptors and if you really want to acquire Giannis, this is a good way to go with the team uh truthfully speaking in regards to making everyone available. So from the Raptors perspective, if they’re able to only trade RJ Barrett, Emanuel Quickley, a couple a first round draft pick this year in 2028 and a second round draft pick, but you’re still able to keep Scotty Barnes, Brandon Ingram, Yaka Purle, and the rest of this roster. That is a gigantic dub in my books. Now, if I’m the Milwaukee Bucks, I’m definitely down with the ninth overall pick uh at 2028 first, 39th pick this year. I like Emanuel Quickley. I like RJ Barrett as well, but I think you sort of have to center this trade around Scotty Barnes in order to get the ball rolling. I just think that if teams were out there bidding against the Raptors for Giannis, other teams could have more intriguing players or draft capital uh compared to the Raptors, I think the only way for the Raptors to seriously be in these conversations for Giannis would be to include Scotty Barnes, in my opinion. But even with Scotty Barnes, I like this trade a lot more for the Raptors uh compared to what the Bucks would be getting. But as always, leave your thoughts.
