Still can’t believe they went down this path. A number three assistant on a team where there’s almost zero info about this guy. He’s a complete unknown. Only reason I can think of that they went down this path is because he had to be dirt cheap and Ishbia was tired of spending big on coaches.

Reminder for everyone, Ott was a finalist for the Hornets job last summer. He's well regarded within the NBA coaching community. IDK if he's the right guy, and I hate the MSU ties, but he's someone a team was gonna take a chance on eventually.

Ishbia has been a let down at every turn. So disappointing. I truly felt he was the answer we deserved. Playing NBA2K with real money but terribly. HE already owns the worst trade (Beal) in NBA history for value in my mind. He will likely end up losing Booker as well.

So that email told me everything I need to know about this guy. He has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Gaslighting about easily referenced and chronicled facts, deflecting blame to others, and repeating words like alignment to hypnotize us from the fact that he’s living in a completely false reality. Probably doesn’t help that it looks like he’s on drugs like Elon. But yeah. This guy could burn down the entire franchise and yoink it from the valley. He could also die of a heart attack from too much booger sugar. As KG once said, “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLEEEEEEeee.”

Any coach they hire will be severely hamstrung by the roster, draft, and salary cap situation for years. The Durant, Ayton, and Beal trades have proven to be catastrophic. It may not matter who the cook is hen you have no ingredients and no money to go to the store.
