Did you know Scottie Pippen once made a bold claim that not everyone on the Chicago Bulls was thrilled when Michael Jordan made a U-turn on his first NBA retirement? In an interview, Pippen admitted that MJ’s 1995 return wasn’t smooth sailing for the entire roster as he said, “I think a lot of players found it really difficult.” Michael brings a little different type of pressure to the game and I think a lot of the players that had came there and gotten very comfortable realized that they had to go back and restart. While Jordan was away, some Bulls had grown under Pippen’s leadership and struggled to adjust to the intense expectations MJ brought back. But let’s be real, it also led to another legendary three Pete after the Bulls failed to reclaim the crown during Jordan’s absence. So, was the discomfort worth it? Looks like those banners say yes.
