    Holliday is a negative asset with his age, declined play and horrendous contract, PJ is worth at least a 1st ( if not more) and Derrick White is a nice role player but not worth 3first round picks… lay down the crack pipe pal

    I was thinking they inquire about Darius garland, Gafford, Klay, and someone else? If not I would keep it simple for PG, considering the injuires they had last season, depth is key for them so keep it and add to it, probably let Dinwiddie walk. See if you can get a better 2 guard of wing for Hardy, Marshall or Martin. With AD & Kyrie out keep the depth. Go after CP3(25 minutes a game would be good), Brogdon, Schroder, probably Sexton(if he cheap). Also having Exum back would be good. Gafford can also be expendable if they can just trade for another center off the bench as well. I don't think trading PJ would be good he can shoot the 3 and defend.

    The Mavs would have been better off getting the #2 pick. They could keep everyone but 1 guy this coming season, pick Harper, and be a threat to stay in contention until Irving comes back. But Dallas fans were already revolting and if they trade the #1 pick for ANYTHING they risk a mass protest by nobody buying season tickets. They can't trade the pick for ANY player, they can't swap draft picks for any package, and they can't pick anyone but Flagg. If Flagg turns out to be someone who's a good all-around player but not a star, within a few years, the fanbase is going to become indifferent to the Mavs as Luka drags the Lakers to the playoffs every year and eventually starts winning rings.

    Can people stop with the Celtics adoration? Holiday is crap (11ppg) getting paid too much and people are talking about having to give up 2 starters or a starter and picks for him. WTF??? White is a better player, but when he's not being protected by the Brown/Tatum duo he had 1 good game and 1 terrible game. He's a 40% 3pt shooter (which is virtually everyone in the league at this point), a good (but not great) defender, and incapable of doing anything but simple catch and shoot without much movement or slashing….and he's WAY overpaid. Boston won a ring in a season where every team they played was injured and a Finals opponent with mediocre role players who choked when given open shots. This year they got smoked in the semi-Finals. Their role players are not A tier player deserving of multiple starters in trades….

    As a Mavs fan & Dallas resident I think you did a great job.
    Does getting hard capped (2nd apron) only a temporary thing due to the new TV deal taking effect after next season? How much will it raise the 2nd apron?

    Dallas was correct trading Luka.
    1. Keep Flagg
    2. Keep AD
    3. Showcase Gafford, PJ, & lively boost value, trade 1.
    4. see if Klay Exteends or trade to contender
    5. Align Kyrie AD and Klay if team is good trade all end of their contract for assets.
    6. Rebuild with Flagg and young team 3-4 years.
    7. If Flagg is a bust at end of 1st contract trade him too.

    I'm guessing Flagg is going to look pretty rough on offense as a rookie. That's less about what I think of his offense and more about the ecosystem around him. Dallas has no healthy guards who can get him the ball. He's going to be playing out of position because of all the damn forwards they have on the roster. The spacing is going to be terrible. He's going to be tasked with doing too much. Even in college, there was an adjustment period. And that was with far better spacing and guard play than he's going to have around him next year.
