Spurs & Pelicans Trade After Recent News Of Everyone Available?

what’s going on everyone so according to Kevin O’Connor uh the New Orleans Pelicans don’t have any untouchable players on their roster uh again per Kevin O’Connor uh there are no untouchables in New Orleans league sources say the Pelicans are gauging the market for everyone on their roster they very well could end up keeping their core pieces namely Zion Williamson but it appears the Pelicans are looking into taking different paths this summer depending on what opportunities become available this could be a huge opportunity for the San Antonio Spurs right spurs have several needs right you have a team centered around Victor Womenyama and De’aran Fox right those are your two stars right obviously Stefan Castle’s going into year two a lot of talks about them drafting Dylan Harper so on and so forth right but the Pelicans have a lot of potential needs or players of need that the Pelicans or that the Spurs could use right again guys that immediately come to n mind Herb Jones Trey Murphy right i mean even their center i don’t know if they would trade their center and Mei uh but you know he he would be fant I mean he had an excellent rookie season um you know they even have just vets that could make some s I mean even like a Bruce Brown I think could could make some sense as like just a key kind of three and D style been there done that type of playoff experience uh you know point of attack guard right slot in play the two play the three even kind of initiate your offense a little bit right Um you got stay away from you know a a CJ McCollum right i don’t think that that’s somebody that you need obviously Deontay Murray um you know now that you have Dearron Fox I don’t think it’s somebody you need you know there’s there’s the Zion Williamson factor which you know I’ll briefly touch on here in a moment but like I’d probably stay away from him but again there there are guys that I do think make a lot of sense i mean even like a Kelly Olen right you need some size on the inside and interior um they have kind of young guys and know a Jordan Hawkins um you know a a uh you know a Brennan Boston right that could just again give you just some nice young death but really to me I’d be trying to solve my shooting and 3 and D wing death right either guy and a Herb Jones or a Trey Murphy would make all the sense in the world trey Murphy obviously is he’s gonna be turning 25 talk about a 68 versatile three indie wing that’s coming off of 21 points a game um now there’s concerns about all of these guys on the Pelicans cuz pretty much their entire roster was decimated by injuries right they’re pretty much their entire roster you know guys miss significant time i mean Herb Jones played 20 games last year um Trey Murphy ended up having you know ended up having to have surgery on his rotator cuff on his shooting so shoulder so that is obviously concerned is he going to be able to come back and be the guy um that he was prior um you know Herb Jones not nothing shooting mechanic wise but you know obviously he’s got some to prove can he stay healthy on the basketball court now both guys have been pretty healthy in previous years but it is definitely something of concern right it’s definitely something you got to kind of keep an eye on obviously at the end of the day cost is everything right if you have to sell the farm for these guys then maybe it’s not the best approach but you know if you I think it really boils down to like what are the Pelicans looking to do right do they basically want to trade everybody that’s over the age of 25 right and you know maybe you can come in and you know chip out a Jeremy Sohan and um know Devin Vel or something like that and go get you know a Herb Jones right and it’s just kind of like you know hey he would make sense slot it in slot him in at your three spot right and I mean shoot you could even do something if you get Murphy and Jones i mean you could literally slap both of them alongside Castle Wimby and Fox right murphy play the the four and and Herb play the three right so again I do think that there’s a lot of potential there with the New Orleans Pelicans fact that they’ve essentially made everybody available i think that that you know gives you the opportunity to at least land somebody right again what are the Pelicans asking price what are they looking to accomplish you know what are they looking to get back what direction do they want to go um obviously again you know you have like the Flyer and like a Zion Williamson you look at a team like a Pelicans i mean there’s guys all over the place on this roster that could help numerous teams and look again there there is an argument for Zion like you know you slot him alongside Victor Women yamama I mean you have the best young front court and probably the best young or best front court period uh in in all of basketball right and Zion his problem is just oncourt and offc court issues right like you know he can’t kind of stay out of his own way if he can get himself together which you know being on a team like the Spurs with the organization and the expectation and you know you have the cultural aspect and all that stuff I do think that there is a version where you know sometimes guys just need a change of scenery sometimes guys just need better structure right sometimes guys just need better you know better support and whatnot right and the Spurs are an organization that could potentially provide that for this team right but you know at the end of the day it’s just I do think that you’re probably best to stay away from Zion unless you can get him dirt cheap because he is on a non-g guaranteed the rest of his contract so there is like you know low risk high reward if you can get him cheap enough right like if you don’t have to sell the far farm in order to acquire him but to me I I kind of look at it more of like you know stay away from the Zions look more to the you know the the defensive pieces that can really kind of help this team right again you could use a Trey Murphy a Herb Jones a Bruce Brown i know Bruce Brown’s a free agent and whatnot but you know if if you can work it out to where you’re getting multiple pieces then maybe you’re working out a sign and trade on a Bruce Brown and also depends on how much Bruce Brown wants right like so it could put you in a position to where you can land multiple guys multiple pieces to put around a Darren Fox and a Victor Womena right get if you can get you know ideally like I said if you can get a Herb Jones and a and a Trey Murphy I mean literally you can slot those two right alongside a you know a a Stefan Castle De’aran Fox and Victor Wimyama man i mean that literally could be your starting five you know or you have C come off the bench and have uh uh Dylan Harper whatever however you want to approach it right i mean you you’d have now your three and D wing depth you’d have basically everything i mean you solve a large majority of your problems um well I if you could pry me in in the in the deal I would do that too you know 21-year-old center 611 235 coming off of an excellent season where you nearly average double double that’s kind of what I would look to i think the Pelicans could be a potential outlet for you to go and acquire all the pieces you need um for for next season but anyway as always this is a discussion
