so could the Phoenix Suns be trading away Kevin Durant to the San Antonio Spurs this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea for Fadeaway World.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the San Antonio Spurs receiving Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns receiving Devin Vel Harrison Barnes Jeremy Sohan a 14th overall draft pick this year a 2027 first from Atlanta and a 2029 first round draft pick so if Kevin Durant is dealt prior to the 2025 NBA draft I fully do expect a lottery pick or even some future draft capital uh to be a part of this deal so um this is a pretty important part to what the Suns want to get back they want to get back a combination of young assets and draft capital which can help them win now as well as the future but also some roster players as well to kind of uh maybe add some more depth to this team that currently lacks right now so I think Kevin Durant going to the Spurs definitely makes quite a bit of sense i know the Spurs have been loosely linked to Giannis this off seasonason as well so if Giannis is still on the table I’m not too sure if the Spurs would pull the trigger on a Kevin Durant trade because this asking price is pretty expensive now you do retain the second overall draft pick which is pretty important so adding Kevin Durant to this team alongside De’aran Fox you keep Kellen Johnson um you you also keep players like you know WBY of course maybe you flip that second overall pick somewhere else maybe you draft someone like Ace Bailey or Dylan Harper whatever the case may be and the Spurs could be really really good next year possibly even a championship team so Kevin Durant going to the Spurs while keeping the second overall draft pick as well as some other assets on this roster is pretty important and if you’re the Suns it’s a pretty good package as well he draft a player in the lottery this year and all things point towards this draft being pretty damn good and pretty deep so that’s pretty good there good value a 2027 first from Atlanta and a 2029 first round draft pick you never know what’s going to happen but those are draft picks to kind of add to the cupboard and Devin Vel Barnes and Sohan can definitely play and maybe if these guys are larger parts of this Suns rotation next year they could blossom and turn out to be pretty good themselves so if I had to pick a winner of this deal I do think it’s fairly even i’d probably side with the San Antonio Spurs but as always leave your thoughts
