right i’m going to say it with my absolute whole chest not only because things that I heard uh personally but this is this it lots of people are talking about at this point i’mma throw it out there okay i’m putting money on the Spurs getting Kevin Durant i’m putting money on them getting Kevin Durant before the draft starts i’m putting money on them getting Kevin Durant right after the finals a lot of things are pushing towards the Spurs getting KD now with that being Ew no no David this is good this is good oh wait david actually you gave the super chat hold on hold on hold on you mentioned KD in your super chat i’ll read it uh David says “No KD i want to build a team not buy one keep up the good work David that’s the thing you get to have your cake and eat it too.” Okay because the deal right now I don’t have it up immediately but you guys watched the other video the deal right now that’s on the table at least that’s what’s been you know talked about and knowing the Spurs I mean maybe they can make make it even better than this i don’t know um but right now it’s been Devin Facel Harrison Barnes in the 14th pick right now i think that that’s actually beautiful because Harrison Barnes let’s just say that’s a swap for swap you get KD that’s a huge upgrade right like let’s not even think about that let’s not even think about it we know that Harrison Barnes was a placeholder to begin with the fact that you would be able to package him is is crazy great right and then you talk about Devin Facel i’ve been like I’ve been a little weird with Devin cuz you guys know like I think that he has a place on the team but I keep saying “Oh I think that he’s like a fourth option right?” Like my my expectations for Devin used to be low he rolls them like crazy and then he lowered them again so I’m like kind of right in the middle where I’m just like he’s useful as far as you know having more depth to your to your uh your bench or whatnot um may maybe even starting but I I’m just not fully bought on you know going crazy over over Devon so something like this is a great deal now the 14th is the one that I’m hung up on but as far as me personally I think it would be nice if somehow someway you could give away that 14th right you have a second round pick you have like four in 2026 you could possibly try to trade off Kellen somewhere uh you know and a few other seconds and move back into the first round and get the guy that you wanted to begin with right whether that be Reo where I don’t know how high he’s going to go uh whether that be Flemings whether it be uh uh Carter Bryant like you you can get a really talented player there so you can literally have your cake and eat it too and and and the Spurs will be winning now you will be winning now i’m not saying championship but you you’ll be a legitimate playoff team okay now another bombshell that I want to throw out there is I I’m encouraged to think I’ll just say this i I think Okay these my thoughts i think that he’ll he’ll cuz I saw some people worried like “Oh he’s only going to be here like this short a period of time.” I could see KD signing a a little extension okay I could see that happening i’m just going to leave that there i’m just going to leave that there i’m not going to expand on that i I’m just going to leave that there okay um so anyways so this this is the report though this is this is what we were getting at this this is this is what’s really juicy okay um per Gambo Kevin Durant was talking to someone he knows and trusts and they asked “Hey where might you end up?” And KD replied “The Spurs.” This was said by him on radio on the radio yesterday uh here’s the actual clip of it let’s see here let’s turn that bad boy up i want I want everybody in the chat and their mamas to hear this okay by Kevin Durant because he he has a a tremendous amount of say in where he’s going to end up so I do know somebody that has been with Kevin Durant recently recently and Kevin Durant and this person talked about the Spurs okay and that’s where I mentioned the Spurs now this is you know I don’t want to say who but you know again you know in somebody that KD knows and trusts that was talking to KD mentioned the Spurge he mentioned the Spurs anded by Kevin Durant so guys I a tremendous You guys know I’m not going to spread propaganda unless I I truly do uh feel confident in something okay this is something I feel very confident in that the Spurs will get Kevin now anything can happen right like as we as it stands right now we know that the asking price went down and that’s what helps us as well um but we know that the Houston Rockets have been talking to them as well um as it as it stands right now I don’t think it’s gone anywhere right uh they might be asking for a little too much from the Houston Rockets but the fact that they’ve lowered their expectations um is is is big and with the Suns right now it makes sense for them want to get get a Harrison Barnes and get a uh Devin Facel because I think it’s been I I could be wrong on this one i could be wrong on this one okay and you guys can correct me in the chat it’s totally cool um but I think it’s been reported that Devin Booker uh wants to continue to win now like he doesn’t want to be in a rebuild situation which I mean that makes sense but I think it’s been reported but I don’t know i don’t know i could be wrong there um but yeah so keep your eye on this this is a big deal and I want you to be optimistic towards this okay because initially the reason why I didn’t care for going after KD is cuz I thought that what you’re going to be doing is giving up future picks for a player that’s going to be here for a short short term right because we know that we have a small window to win with KD being here but dude if you can manage cuz cuz the and and another reason too okay actually I jumped to things too quickly hold on i I’ll get to that in a minute um but dude if you can just trade away a few a couple players one of which it doesn’t matter i mean I love Harrison Barnes but it doesn’t matter uh and then a pick from this draft right that was from Atlanta right that wasn’t even ours that was that was something we finessed for the Atlanta pick and then maybe you can maneuver some things and move it back into the first round that is an absolute W that you will be able to have a team that’s ready to win now in the playoffs make the playoffs and win in the playoffs and then you topple that with our future has not changed um and the reason what I was going to say because I almost jumped to this too soon um my thoughts on this would have been a little different if we also if we didn’t get the second overall pick that’s how good Dylan Harper is that’s how unw worried I am about this team that’s how good he is so you you really are in a perfect situation here so hopefully it doesn’t get added like anything’s added to this deal where we have to give up more maybe we can finesse even more i don’t know how you finesse better than this though if I’m being like transparent i I don’t know what you do other than switch Devon out for Kell but that’s not going to happen in my mind it matters though i prefer to give up Kelvin than Barnes how do I feel about that you prefer to give up Kell than Barnes do you Do you think Kell’s worth I don’t know man i feel like Kellen might be worth more than Barnes like you can I mean can you get any better than that i don’t want to give up Devin and Kellen in the 14th for KD i don’t I don’t know about that yeah I don’t know about that heck no Kell isn’t worth more than Barnes i just mean on the market that’s what I meant like I’m I’m not saying like for our team I think Barnes is a better role player i’m just saying like on the market if you’re trading them away right like I feel like you might be giving out because you could trade Harrison Barnes and that’s kind of a a fleece right getting KD for Harrison Barnes along with you know Deon Facel and the 14th it’s not really a fleece i think it’s pretty fair but like it’s closer to a fleece than than uh the other way but like I feel like with Kellen you could do a separate trade and get more value out of that trade you get what I’m saying like if you add Devon Facel and Kellan and the 14th I feel like you’re I don’t know you’re You’re not I hope I’m making sense i know I’m all over the place this is just random question that was asked or brought up yeah it feels like a lot i’m not saying I agree with you guys that Barnes is more valuable to the team than K uh KJ like I I I think that you guys know I’ve been saying that all season um that I don’t think KG KJ really like fits with the team that well um but in the market for other teams Kell’s younger right um you know some recent things that come up is you know the Olympics um great team guy plays hard another team might see Kell and say “Hey we can really get something out of that right?” Um and give up a little bit more whereas Harrison Barnes everyone knows that oh he’s he’s gonna be a little bit more short term you know so he’s not as valuable okay I hope that makes sense anyways I’m not gonna die on a hill to keep Barnes or Keldon if that’s what it takes to get KD.
Devin, #14, their choice of Barnes or Keldon, and I’d even be willing to throw in a 2nd round pick or two to get the deal across the finish line.

I am just adamantly against giving up Harrison Barnes for Kevin Durant. Barnes is an iron-man, lights out shooter, great community guy, great culture guy, wife is best friends with Fox's wife, his age makes it so that he could still be a solid bench guy during title runs, just No No No. That said, if we want to give up Devin, Keldon, and and the 14th, sure. They can have Malaki too.

If we get KD and second pick , stop with the win now but not win a championship. Win now means win everything. We’ll never have that “perfect” championship team. We either have it now or we don’t.
The same podcast you linked to also states that the “lowered their asking price” rumor is nonsense and the Suns haven’t talked to Houston since the trade deadline.

Any one who doesn't want KD or Giannis (at the right price) is delusionnal. KD averaged 26 points last season. His game don't rely on physical so he might play more years. 3 to 5 years on the Spurs, developping the young stud we have is just priceless (including wemby)

Any team is gonna pay up for KD.
Even if I think that the Suns would prefer to trade KD to Houston, I am pretty sure that KD will prefer to play for the Spurs.
Houston haven't first option for the moment (Green and Sengun are definitely not first options !!) and KD would become the franchise player.
At his age, I am pretty sure that he is not confident anymore to be that guy.
I think that being the second offensive option behind Wemby would fit perfectly to him.
Wemby as first option, KD as second option, Fox as third option, Castle as fourth option and Harper as fifth option, wahou… This team shouldn't be contender next year but they should definitely make a run in playoff.
I wouldn't mind using our non-taxpayer midlevel exception to propose a three years contract to Guershon Yabusélé. He could play starting 4 but also play backup center if Wemby is out.

If we can get Durant this would be great especially if they can trade Vassell Harnes and / or anyone on our bench
good for Spurs if they could KD at a cheaper price; then sign a center UFA Brook Lopez and Payton II/Nickeil Alexander to have a solid bench. Keep that number 2 and number 14 pick.
This is all speculation on how good this team will be with KD.
If KD comes out and says publicly that he wants to go to the Spurs, that lowers the price on our end. Like what transpired in the Fox trade. It gives San Antonio all the leverage.
In a way I think I may be better give up keldon over Barnes because you’d be getting more money off the books sooner to make another big swing next offseason before you have to pay wemby. Then castle. Etc
Because Barnes would also be coming off the books. May even come back on cheap deal.
If you trade keldon, vassel. That’s 47 million. Plus Barnes coming off got another 19 mil after next year.
I still dream of the scenario where you can get KD for this package. Then rope in Myles turner if they lose.

As weird as it sounds to some. I’d rather trade the 14 this year and keep the hawks pick.
Picks in general tend to hold more value than the player. Unless the player is a home run.
This team will still be deep and I don’t see any superstar in this draft at 14. I think the hawks pick in 27 will outperform 14. And having a pick that year will be a good way to keep bringing in great cheaper talent when this team gets expensive.

If he says he wants to be a Spur, I think Vassell, pick #14, one or two more picks, and Blake Wesley is enough. I really want to keep Harrison Barnes. He's actually one of our best players, a veteran with championship experience and one of our best 3 point shooters. The kind of guy you want if you advance in the playoffs.
Back court: D’Aron Fox 🦊 and Stephon Castle 🏰 with Dylan Harper coming off the bench (For Now)… Harper may just be our starting PG when he proves himself.
Front court: Wemby 👽 and Kevin Durant with Naz Reid at Center.. unless we have a good center available at pick 14.
We can trade the 14th pick, Devin Vassell, and Barnes. I say KEEP Keldon Johnson as our high energy player off the bench who could be sixth Man. Definitely keep Sochan for his Swiss Army knife skills and Defense.
KD will definitely mentor Wemby and share his secrets with him.. while making Wemby better, as he modeled his game after KD.. and also making the whole team better with his shooting percentage and scoring ability. Not to mention his three point shooting accuracy.

Giannis is more likely to go to the Knicks, as he wants to stay in the Eastern Conference. Besides, he will cost WAY too much and wipe out all of our assets. Our GM office and El Jefe Popovich will not throw away our future dynasty team for a POSSIBLE immediate championship run, by acquiring Giannis.
KD to the Spurs is borrowed time. No guarantee he will stays after next season.

It's either keep Vassell and Johnson for a 40+ million dollar invested in a bench, or a get a bonified star. Drafting multiple first round picks in a year is tricky, one of those picks will. Sit the end of the bench, then you have paybthem at the same time, look at us with Sochan, Branham, and Wesley, we are even questioning paying non of them, because we are paying so many others and have to pay Wemby down the line. Trade picks, keep one first round a year,. 😊
Trade Vassell, Johnson, #14, 3 second round picks. Barnes will give us much needed championship experience and cap relief at the end of the year. Johnson and Vassell get all the minutes in Phoenix, love those guys, and hope they get all the opportunities the deserve!
The more I think about it, it seems to me that the Rockets have better assets to offer the Sun than the Spurs for KD. Their #10 pick is better than our #14, they control the Sun's own picks (which Phoenix wants back), and can offer several good young players who could help Booker make a title run WITHOUT gutting their own title aspirations.
Now, that doesn't mean that Houston wants KD for whatever package the Suns want back. If they don't, then yes the Spurs have a chance.
I'm also still of the opinion that the Spurs should let KD know what kind of contract they're prepared to offer him (salary and length) should he opt for free agency after getting traded to another team.
In that sense, I think that the Spurs game that the Suns came to Austin for may be more important than we realized at the time. Showing KD how much love and appreciation there still is for him in central Texas could make him want to come back "home" for his last years in the league.

I H8 to see that #14 pick fall into the Suns hands, when we really need it to fill in that PF position. I would rather give them the #38 instead.

the KD situation feels just like the Fox one did, so much smoke. And if he comes here, for the rumored price, I'm over the moon thrilled. KD is exactly what we need. I'm ready to move on from Vassel, I'm not attached to the 14tth pick and Barnes is nice and good vet presence but he's no KD. I disagree with takes that he is a bad culture guy or "doesn't fit the timeline".
Durant makes perfect sense tbh. He's an upgrade from Barnes and by getting off Devin it gives castle and Harper more freedom by legit just giving his minutes to them. Also we would improve defensively overall as well.
