kevin Durant is going to get traded in the next three weeks before this year’s NBA draft And one team that I believe is getting slept on for who can acquire KD is the San Antonio Spurs Now the Spurs when we’ve heard talks about Giannis they have been a name that has come up consistently but now they could be looking to acquire Kevin Durant And with the assets they have I believe they can acquire KD and barely even feel it Now the Spurs have done a great job of stocking up a ton of draft picks Whether it’s their own which is the number two pick in this year’s draft or the Atlanta Hawks which is the 14th overall pick in this year’s draft They also have a very nice collection of young players that they could make a trade for Kevin Durant that could be centered around Devin Vel the number 14 overall pick and some pieces to fill salary You could look at a Harrison Barnes possibly But if Vel and Draft Capital are the center of your trade then you’re still going to have the number two overall pick along with Kevin Durant on your team and you can have a core that’s led by Victor Webbyama who could be a top five player as early as next year KD who is still a top 10 player despite him being 37 years old And you can have De’aran Fox You can have the reigning rookie of the year in Stfan Castle and the number two overall pick in Dylan Harper So a Giannis trade can kind of gut a lot of the young assets and draft capital that the Spurs have And KD even if he’s not as good as Giannis he can still be a massive upgrade and provide a massive jolt to this Spurs team You have a full year of De’aran Fox WBY is just entering year three and the leaps that he can take can be scary for the entire league And Dylan Harper is a guy that’s truly a number one overall pick in hiding He’s just in the same draft class as Cooper Flag So that’s why he’ll fall to number two overall But I believe the San Antonio Spurs are a team that makes all the sense in the world for Kevin Durant It’s kind of similar as the Houston Rockets as they can make a trade package for KD with a young player and some draft capital and they could barely even feel it So it’s not like the pieces that they give up to get KD will stop them from being able to field a good roster The Spurs are absolutely a team to keep an eye on
