Why the Pacers Will BEAT the Thunder!
best records in the nba since january 1st okc thunder 53 and13 second indiana pacers 46-18 the two hottest teams in the nba are meeting in the finals the best defense verse the best offense also in my opinion these have been the two most physical teams left in the playoffs okc gets credit for that but silently the pacers have been playing that brand of basketball as well personally i’m picking the upset everybody and anybody will be picking the thunder they will be heavy favorites rightfully so which means all the pressure in the world will be on them and i’ve noticed the more you doubt the pacers the more dangerous they become now for okc if jaylen williams and chad show up offensively like they did versus minnesota it’s a wrap they are unbeatable in my eyes with those two playing like that but the thing is they can be very inconsistent on that end of the floor for instance verse denver jaylen williams shot 37% from the field 23% from three in that series verse minnesota his numbers skyrocketed up to 49% and 46% from three going over to chat he shot 56% from the field and 36% from three verse minnesota and vers denver 46% and a disturbing 22% from three sheay is going to do his thing that’s clear but the pacers are used to unguardable star players they faced giannis in round one donovan mitchell in round two and brunson in round three they’ve shown the ability to overcome superstar performances it’s about stopping the others or keeping them in check the pacers front court with seakkum and miles turner can match up well verse ched in my opinion i also think seakum can make life tough on jaylen williams if he’s matched up against him i’m guessing demard will get the shay matchup knee at times as well however whoever is not on shay will beounding and making life difficult for williams my point is i don’t think indiana could stop shay but i do think they can bring out a bad series in chad and jaylen williams can seakum nemhar nmith and the other pacer role players give more offensively than ched and jaylen if so that’s a great formula to win seakum averaged 25 on 50% from the field and 50% from three versus the knicks i don’t think he’s going to be phased by the physicality of okc he’s been around faced prime draymond green in the playoffs and the warriors and one of the most underrated things about seakum’s game is he really doesn’t make that many mistakes he’s not a turnover prone player 1.4 turnovers per game and you must have that to stand a chance against okc another huge series from him is a must for the pacers and i think he’s got it in him and the one advantage the pacers have as a team is offensively they shoot way better during the playoffs they have shot 40.1% from three which ranks number one meanwhile the oklahoma city thunder are shooting 33% from deep good for 13th the pacers have to be locked in on the glass as well they struggled in that category versus the knicks okc definitely has the edge there if they can continue shooting the way they have shot they definitely have a fighter chance the pacers do have the potential to combat a huge strength of the thunder aka turnovers thunder are at their best when they create turnovers and turn it into offense pacers in the playoffs as a team 12.7 turnover percentage only two teams ahead of them cleveland and okc their two most played lineups are great in that aspect obviously they haven’t faced a defense like the thunder so it could be different i really worry for tyrese hallebertton in this series he has had games where quite frankly he kind of just takes them off if he decides to do that verse okc they are going to take advantage unlike the bucks unlike cleveland and unlike new york and you saw the knicks in the last two games of that series increased their ball pressure he didn’t respond very well they were picking him up full court and you better believe the thunder will be doing the same thing and they have way more bodies to throw at him throughout a whole entire game plus they have way more effective defenders than muel bridges tyrese has had the speed advantage versus the bucks cavs and knicks unfortunately okc can probably match that speed they need him to be great can he consistently be that is a question it’s not even about scoring it’s just about if he can get into the paint consistently and create great shot quality versus this historic okc defense i will say okc has not seen a team with the speed and pace of play of the indiana pacers they’ve been able to keep pretty much anybody in front of them a majority of the game but with tyrese he’s a herkyjerky speedy player could he be a matchup nightmare for them because they usually have the speed advantage versus anyone they’re defending and something to keep in mind is the thunder throughout this playoff run had multiple blowouts the thing is you look at the starting five they have played 174 minutes only a plus five 112.4 offensive rating not that great the double big lineup has been questionable for them all season long lou dort looked unplayable versus denver their starting five i believe indiana can really take advantage of them it’s really been okc’s bench that has been carrying them mainly alex caruso honestly he’s had a starle impact kase wallace has been great as well that duo and their second units have been powering them going to the pacers though it’s been quite the opposite 249 minutes for their starters plus 80 does the pacers speed and pace cause an issue for the double big lineup starting wise the pacers should have the edge which should help them at the start and end of games now in this series i really worry when the pacers bring in guys off the bench all postseason their bench has been getting cooked they have guys who can score but impact-wise they’re losing the minutes it’s mainly their minutes without tyres hallebertton they have played 216 minutes without him this postseason and guess what they are a -47 in those minutes to put that in perspective in 189 minutes without shay okc is a plus 15 so it’s kind of scary to think for the pacers that okc has been winning games with guys off the bench combined with some of their starters meanwhile the main reason why indiana has lost some playoff games is they have been so piss poor without hallebertton on the court their offensive rating goes from 121.6 with hallebertton to 110.4 without him so can you imagine what their offense is going to look like verse okc’s bench units where they thrive defensively honestly that is probably my biggest concern heading into this series that’s all i got though let me know your thoughts below in the comments section

pacers in 6 yeah i said it… who you got?
The pacers have zero chance of beating OKC four separate times, period. Thunder in 5, maybe 6
Defense win champions
Thunder in 6 or 7 for sure. But Pacers COULD win. Boths play the exact same way I mean quite literally the same style of ball. That fast paced play and great defense its going to be like looking in the mirror when they play eachother but OKC is like the better version of the Pacers fr.
I want Indy to win so bad because of all these fraud bandwagon Thunder fans, and their cringe inducing floor mopping star in Shai.
wish i was this delusional. okc in 5 max
Huge OKC fan here. I think the Thunder will get it, but the Pacers make me VERY nervous. They're the playoff team that most resembles the Thunder, IMO. They're young, fast, and incredibly energetic. OKC's advantage is their defensive pressure. It should be a great series. Go Thunder!
🤣🤣🤣
I dont care what anyone says i got the pacers in 6 ,OKC will find out what its like when they loose a miracle game they should win and there soul get taken ,go ask the bucks about game 5 ask the cavs about game 2 and last but not lease ask the knicks about game 1
Thunder are playing with a lot of confidence and they are simply loaded. I give Indiana a game or two but …they betting OKC 4x? Not happening! The Thunder are very determined starting from the top management with Sam Presti. The focus to get the job done will be there.
OKC WILL ABSOLUTELY LOST ..PACERS IS THE TEAM TO BEAT..THIS IS THE TEAM OF THE 80S WHERE THOMAS DUMARS AND THE OTHER ONE PLAYED THE 3GUARDS TOGETHER AND THERE 2 POWER FORWARDS…OCK WILL BE PLAYING 3 CURRY AT THE SAME TIME..WATCH IT..ITSS THE MOST INTRUIGING CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM IN THE NBA…THE OCK HAVE CENTERS BUT BAD FORWARDS AND GUARDS…ITS AN AUTOMATIC CHAMPIONSHIP FOR PACERS…
My heart says Pacers in 7 but my mind says OKC in 5
No its not entirely crazy to say this
Pacers cannot handle Caruso and Dort. Defense way beyond any Knick defenders.
Bro said Wolves in 6 vs OKC and Ant would be the best scorer + Randle would perform well, OKC shut them both down well below averages
Keep picking against the heavy favorites. It’s funny
honesty i got okc in 5
I think if Indiana can play at least four games in which their offense can produce more points than OKC's offense and their Defense can hold the thunder to less points than they score … they'll probably win.
Lol in your wet dreams.
I know you're trying to be an optimist. A contraian. But some of the facts are nitpicked. Okc plays at a faster pace than Indiana. Memphis played faster than. And before you guys say Memphis is terrible, they had a high o rating and a much higher d rating. They had a higher net rating and margin of victory. This idea that Hali may be too fast for OKCs defense is mind-blowing. Pointing out the double big is only +5 and not also saying every single lineup for Indiana outside of their starting lineup is negative.. is a bit disingenuous.
Indiana would be underdogs against Minnesota, Denver and a healthy Memphis team. Pointing out OKCs struggles against Denver but not giving Denver credit for slowing the game down and making OKC beat them in the half court it crazy. Indiana is doubtful to do that because like Minnesota, it's not their identity
Last thing. Shai averaged 39 in the regular season against Indiana. On insane efficiency 52/61/91 I believe. Not a soul on that team is stopping Shai. You have to bring that up
if they shut down sga, series is done
Okc in 4 they swept the season without Chet holmgren
I’m not confident Pacers will win, but the Pacers will get to a game 6 and I’m here for it.
okc in 5
If the pacers can rebound better then they will have a better chance to win. Also you’re right about their bench, Mathurin will have to play better, they will need to get Thomas Bryant involved more, and get some of OKCs players in foul trouble early. I think the key factor is how Pascal plays. He has finals experience, if he plays like he did against New York, then it’ll be hard for OKC to stop him. One final point, Nesmiths ankle will have to improve if we even have a shot.
How is the coke?
I am for Thunder they are a good team.i think they will win.
Very true knicks put pressure on tyrese they shut him down big time. Thunder will do the same.
OKC beat lndy when they wasn't healthy now that OKC is fully healthy OKC are going to destroy Indy thunder in 5
I was open to this take, but after listening to you lay it out, it seemed really forced. Not sure you really believe what you’re saying.
Your channel is trash..rename it please"Iblowpacers". I have changed my prediction from Thunder in 6..to Thunder in 3. lol
Reporters are doubting the Pacers, OKC are not.
No matter who wins this series, Paul George should be the MVP!!
Pacers do have a legitimate chance, but this is by far their biggest test in the playoffs.
I’ll be back to video when thunder win in 5 🔥
I’m so pumped for this finals. Been an OKC fan since day 1. I believe this series will go 6 or 7 and it’ll be one of the most entertaining championships ever.
6:18 is the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard even after the cherry picked net rating from the okc starters.
That starting 5 plays less than a quarter of the game together. Literally 78% of their games are played with mixed lineups including rotation guys and their main guys. Their main guys are still the ones producing. To look at the double big net rating and ignore SGA, JDub, and Chet’s numbers by saying their bench is carrying them discredits you.
Well someone had to pick the underdog 😮
Don't be putting it out there y'all been seeing y'all the the Thunder is going to destroy the Pacers and the Pacers ain't got a chance don't even act like that everybody in all the sports World analyst everybody before they gave me even played they said the Thunder is going to wipe them away destroy them make them look like they garbage don't even exist they don't make the paces look like they ain't even got a chance
So don't even put that up there cuz y'all know y'all lying y'all been seeing the paces ain't got a chance now you're trying to post like that place is going to win don't act like that y'all been sitting up there putting their Paces down like they necking at all
I want them to win but you're acting like the Thunder is going to dominate them
Thunder have shut down every teams offensive player 4 times in every series. The Pacers needed miracle wins in every series to get here. Not saying the Pacers won't have a chance, but I don't think they have the depth to compete with the Thunder. It is also really hard to win in OKC so I give the Thunder a slight edge and win in 7.
Pacers in 7! Let's gooo
Pacers pacing like 2011 run by Dirk & Rick Carlisle Mavericks riding the lawnmower through green grass like you stole it 💪
1-0 pacers in 4
You called it. Well done.
