so could the New York Knicks be trading away Carl Anthony Towns to the Phoenix Suns this 2025 NBA off seasonason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacherreport.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the New York Knicks trading Carl Anthony Towns and Pome uh Diet in a 2032 first round draft pick to the Phoenix Suns for Kevin Durant so just looking at this from a perspective of Kevin Durant for Crowanthony Towns I think it actually does make both teams better in different ways now from the Knicks perspective Kevin Durant’s a better player this team wants to win a championship now they just fired their coach they have a good core with Anobi Jaylen Brunson Male Bridges Josh Hart you name it and if they get Kevin Durant this could potentially be the move that pushes them over the top and makes them a championship team as compared to losing in the Eastern Conference Finals so uh Towns’s defense this past round against the uh the Pacers was a little suspect at the very least he got a lot of criticism in the media as well uh just in regards to his play and all sides point towards him potentially being a trade candidate this offseason so if that’s the case and they’re able to get Kevin Durant back in return if you’re a Knicks fan I would be jumping for joy now from the perspective of the Suns like as I mentioned before could this make them better potentially and more so of a morale way now Anthony Carl Anthony Towns going over to Phoenix playing alongside his former teammate Deon Booker the two are friends the two are former teammates this could be a great fit like from a chemistry perspective having a one-two punch of Devin Booker and Carl Anthony Towns that’s pretty damn good especially too with Bradley Beale probably on his way out in regards to a buyout and this team looking drastically different it’s not a bad player to get back i would personally like to get back a little bit more draft capital as well if possible uh maybe you throw in a player like Josh Hart or whatever to make uh the team a little bit deeper but I think from an apples to apples perspective I would obviously rather have Kevin Durant which is why um a roster player and a first round draft pick seven years down the road could be in the mix here but uh in my opinion still uh this is a better trade for the Knicks to make it fits the timeline of this group and it makes them better and possibly even a championship contender so in my opinion the Knicks win this deal but as always leave your thoughts
