looks like Precious Sachua is done in New York according to Steve Pauper there’s mutual dissatisfaction between Precious and the Knicks coaching staff especially around his defense and consistency and remember he didn’t resign last year until his options were exhausted and with Achua likely out don’t be shocked if Ariel Hakorti steps up in a big way the 23-year-old center showed serious flashes and limited minutes last season rim protection physicality and hustle the tools are there so yeah Knicks fans it might be aerial time would you still bring Precious back or give those minutes to hook

Achiuwa is very talented and should have had a bigger role in the post season. Despite a lot of good performances. I believe he failed to have a performance to force his way into the starting lineup. With a defensive rating the same as Kat, it's easy to understand Thibs didn't give him starts at PF and played OG out of position for most of the season.
I wouldn't give up on Achiuwa. He is gifted and creative in the paint. And versatile to be a stretch PF. I also don't think Hukporti competes with him as a Center, and we should have let Moses Brown have a chance too.

I like him a lot. Difficult as it would be I would rather flip Mitch’s expiring contract and bring him back and hope Huk takes the next step. Either way we need another shooting big that could potentially play both front court spots (4-5)
The problem with Ariel Hukporti taking Precious spot is he’s not a PF. Precious is a PF/SF. Precious is not a center just because Thibs played him out of position. Thibs played a lot of players outside of their natural positions which is one of the many reasons why he lost to the pacers.
The Knicks need a PF, not another center in the rotation Josh hart is not a PF. Josh hart is a guard. Letting Precious walk is a mistake. Not many PF can guard 1-5.
Of course he’s inconsistent his minutes was inconsistent because Thibs didn’t like to play the bench. The only true PF we had that could actually guard Pascal Siakim Thibs didn’t use. He was the only player the Knicks had with the size and mobility to actually defend Pascal Siakim. Thibs blew it. Don’t expect players you don’t use regularly to be consistent it’s an unfair and ridiculous expectation.
Hope the Knicks can retain him or replace him which is hard to do.
Hukporti is another example of the failure of THIBS. This guy is a beast and never was played.
