NBA LIVE! Indiana Pacers vs Oklahoma City Thunder LIVE – NBA Finals Game 2 I June 8, 2025 2K Live

runs through the front court you’re exactly right ba and i think that’s where the game’s going to ultimately be decided i mean we have to see which set of these bigs is going to impose their will not just offensively but defensively too and now indiana’s starting group hallebert the one and the two seakum at power forward with turner in at center and it’s matherin in at the three five to shoot here’s gilas alexander it’s rebounded by pascal seakum and seakum has got the ball here for indiana to the inside turner and then turner with the dunk oh you can’t let turner get that deep inside when you do he’s going to abuse you with a throw down right on top of your head do it outside here’s the three nails it from three got to fight harder to get over those screens well i’m going to credit the screen i mean that’s a good strong pick he lays there outside matin and just over a minute played here to start the game plenty of daylight on that shot yeah matin wanted this bad he wants to one up them at the arc now here’s caruso he’s guarded by nimhart caruso the pass to gilis alexander williams with the screen oh and turner with a block on the wing nimhart he’s averaging just around eight and a half points a game seakum outside pass to hallebertton oklahoma city grabs a miss they went to indianapolis for their last meeting with the pacers came out with a victory they beat this team last time largely because of the massive free throw disparity yeah did a really good job of drawing foul after foul very physical and rugged in how they performed and it paid off a chance here to catch up with ally from the sideline i had a chance to catch up with mark dagnel i asked him if there was a plan in place to slow down hallebertton and coach joked “hey if a plan existed somebody smarter than me would have come up with it.” tyrese impacts the game in too many ways for us to neutralize we just need to do what we can to make life difficult for him great work ally thanks well the first seven and a half seasons of pascal seakum’s career were in toronto but clark a fresh start here with the pacers you know it’s great for the indiana pacers because pascal seakum wanted to be part of this group he saw a nucleus of young talent that had a chance to be competitive in the east and chase a championship so he signed a nice big contract this summer to remain a key contributor for them moving forward actually he’ll be the hub of the wheel along with tyrese hallebertton pass to hardenstein about 3 minutes gone here in the first quarter here’s gils as alexander rebounded by hallebertton pacers leading by four [Applause] outside matherin turner against gilis alexander turner no good he expects to make every one of those and we expect him to make them too here’s hardenstein nice assist and nice finish solid play all the way around he is such a smart player jaylen williams making people around him better for indiana they’ve gone four of six in the first quarter pass to turner turner a screen on dort matherin passes to turner power it home oh wow and he goes in for the dunk boy turner is a long fluid athletic big guy great length and he’s more than capable of finishing inside just an awesome display of athleticism on our at&t 5g slam cam here’s hardenstein to the paint mather with a steal hallebertton looking for an opening and stolen by caruso inside stolen by seakum oh and the fast break for the pacers here’s nimhard ooh and he took a hard foul on the shot so he’ll head to the line to shoot a pair it’s going to be on alex caruso and some stats here guys the scoring breakdown for the pacers their chemistry that’s what really stood out so far in this one to me look at the number of assists they’ve been able to rack up so far you know another thing that has impressed me has been their numbers of points in the paint just dominating down there they’re just getting whatever shot they want in close and he drops a first and you think about the value andrew nimhard provides clark he really excels at running the offense he’s the quintessential point guard ba has a great feel for setting up his teammates for what they’re trying to get done plays with tremendous pace and great great confidence typically doesn’t over dribble and is unafraid of any moment that one follows so he hits both of them grant how about the rise of okc in just two years transforming from a 24- win team to the top seed incredible da the thunder drafted well and gave those picks lots of playing time plus they made some fantastic trades and of course don’t forget okc still has a boatload of picks oklahoma city shooting their first shots from the free throw line tonight you know the numbers from the line guys are close to where they were last year um but just a tad worse so not too bad first one falls for him all right grant coming down to the final few games now this playoff push sure will be interesting oh no doubt and i’m looking forward to it ba the teams trying to make the playoffs will be going all out and that kind of intensity in these games will be fun to watch here we go let’s get it and caruso drops them both [Applause] and here’s hallebertton he’ll bring it up for indiana four-point game pass to turner and then turner with the dunk the versatility of hallebertton that’s what you love about him he can score it he can pass it and he makes very good decisions dor outside back to gilas alexander count it and the d can’t allow gilas alexander to get this positioning because once he does he makes you pay hallebertton against gilis alexander hallebertton outside pass to turner shoots over hartinstein on the wing nimhart clock at four here’s seakkum hartinstein pulls it in thunder trail by [Applause] four dorne outside it’s gilas alexander finds williams [Applause] outside for gilas alexander and he was fouled while in the act of shooting so he’ll take two free throws there’s that man gilis alexander so tough to contend with his quickness it’s his first trip to the line and something i remember from their last outing he was excellent at the charity strike yeah i agree with you i mean he attacked got to the line a bunch and cashed in on his chances and i think it’s clear he’s gotten better in that department since last season i mean he looks a lot more comfortable at the line now and he’s getting better results and the first one at the line is good the skills of sga they’re so unique his ball handling shooting length not a lot of guys like shay in the league rebound got to get it rebound let’s get it both free throws good from gilas alexander already a very confident player knocking down those free throws only fuels that right side mather back to hallebertton that one goes now he’s one for two hallebertton such a special player and his rush hour handles round out his game gilgis alexander passes to williams and he lobbs it up top and williams punches it home yeah nice finish from williams on the alley i mean that takes some real athleticism pass to sakum back to hallebertton [Applause] and he gets the bucket hallebertton’s got his second basket on the night and guys the way this defense is getting manhandled down low you have to wonder if they’re at 100% right now pass to dort now here’s williams he’s covered by seakum and here’s hartinstein gildas alexander on the wing defended by hallebertton boy he just cannot buy a bucket guys i tell you what that’s a painful quarter for him and it’s painful for me to watch too now here’s matherin now turner he’s guarded by hartinstein seakum outside turner a screen on williams indiana needs to get a shot off turner no good you got to move past that one i mean they’d want him to take that again well you know i hear you that’s a good look but when you’re that wide open i think you got to knock it down and that one’s good gilas alexander sweet looking jumper from the mid-range i mean gil just alexander just making it look easy nimhard the pass to turner gilas alexander against hallebertton puts it up from 15 and it falls for him he’s hit three of his first four attempts thunder trail by four caruso outside [Applause] pass to williams no good on the triple nimhard the pass to seakkum and then seakkum with the jam it’s just such a long and powerful player i mean once seakum gets inside like this he’s ready to jam and here is williams turned in an outstanding game against memphis to the middle and dort with the bucket on the assist from williams williams has got his fourth assist with that last one indiana leading by four nimhard outside outside matherin takes the three two shots two mates off to a good start and they’ve settled in quickly today a nice flowing rhythm to their offense yeah they’re lasered in i mean really making the most of their possessions and we’ve got a timeout called by mark dagnel he wants to make sure everybody’s on the same page heat heat a big group substitution here for oklahoma city williams has checked in for hardenstein wiggins comes in for dort joe’s checked in for caruso and it’s wallace in for shay gilis alexander and a new group getting ready for indiana jackson he’s checked in for turner toppin comes in for matherin burks he’s checked in for nimhart and it’s mcconnell in for tyresese hallebertton thunder trail by seven now williams taking command on offense when they need him putting up 21 a game that’s how you want to see them crash to glass they’ve been out hustled so far and you know time will tell how big a factor that becomes in this game guys but if you’re the coaching staff it’s certainly a point of emphasis yeah sometimes i think the 6-9 length of seakum surprises opponents he’s able to go through or over contact and wallace here we go can’t get it to go missed his first one he’s as surprised as we are most nights that bucket is automatic here’s seakkum good efficiency he’s drained four out of five and what’s working here each guy is willing to make the next pass williams against toppen to end the run [Applause] williams misses well i admire the fact he’s trying to power through this rough stretch but on occasion you’ll have periods like this jackson the screen to the inside and stolen by williams and they’re running here’s joe finished off the break transition basketball the most reliable way to generate easy looks yep exactly and if there’s any opportunity for early offense you’ve got to push it and push it every time mcconnell finds seakum down low here’s toppin that drops and it comes off an assist from seakum seakum’s got three assists now in this one a minute four left in the first quarter of the game wallace outside williams a screen on mcconnell elbow shot on the way he hits the back iron and sinks it no idea what they were thinking there defensively i mean that’s a shot he makes often [Applause] now here’s mcconnell he’s scoreless [Applause] pass to seakum seakum draws the double shot clock at five burks no good already plus five in terms of rebound margin pretty clear they’re dominating that area they’ve come out with a lot more energy and effort so far and play stops a whistle there on what looks like an illegal screen well the league has put an emphasis to crack down on illegal screens yeah you know he might have gotten away with that a few years ago but not anymore no way now you’ve got to be stationary on those screens no extra hips or elbows or they’ll call it pacers leading by nine here’s hallebertton he’s got six i got you man hey don’t let him go left let a three fly oh and the release was before the buzzer but it’s off target and so it’s pascal seakum making highlights for the indiana pacers eight points in the quarter showing how effective he can be all right stick around we’ll be right back after this and so far through one quarter it’s been a lopsided game we’ll see if that changes here in the second and guys what’s your take on indiana so far you could really see the strategy coming in get the ball into the painted area yeah and it’s worked they’ve got a clear edge and points in the paint now we’ll see if they go with a more balanced attack or just keep on pounding it inside here’s mcconnell still without a bucket on the court for the pacers second quarter underway they’ve got alec burks topping it out there with jackson then there’s tj mcconnell and it’s hallebertton in at the two guard jackson with a screen on gilis alexander here’s mcconnell pass to jackson three on the clock three-pointer hallebertton another miss by hallebertton and the shooter had very little space on that attempt and guys that’s exactly the kind of high impact defense they want to see out of him gil just alexander with a ball defended by burks gil just alexander looking it over wallace left side lets a floater go the rebound by jackson they have a decent advantage in regards to rebounding especially when you’re scoring the ball at a decent clip the way they have i mean they’ve done exactly what’s necessary to take the lead and wiggins has got the ball here for the oklahoma city thunder they haven’t allowed any points in the second quarter well when you look at the forwards in this league there are a lot more grant hill types out there these days partner well thank you for the nice words ba uh of course i took pride in my overall game and over the last few decades or so we’ve seen a bunch of guys playing the three four and five who can pass dribble and shoot so it’s fun to watch the game evolve the free throw drops for williams big rebound got to get it rebound big rebound let’s get it get it get it pitch it and williams drops them both indiana leading by seven hallebertton with a ball he’s coming off a 25-point game against the wizards in washington hallebertton goes up top to throw it down how about hallebertton this fella going right to the rim sneaking on that attack impressive outside gilgis alexander and he got the whistle on the way up so he’ll be headed to the line for a pair it’s on tj mcconnell man he made sure to get his money’s worth on that foul he got him good there i mean that’s why the shot was so far off oklahoma city shooting their seventh and eighth free throw attempts of the game first one falls for him they’ve been flawless at the line this quarter they need to stay aggressive and keep drawing fouls that’ll help them chip away at the lead that one’s no good pacers leading by eight inside and here’s hallebertton give him eight points now hey clark a big part of tyresese hallebertton’s effectiveness he is tall for a point guard yeah and you see that across the league brian more and more teams making sure they get sized on the perimeter i mean they’re looking for length in the back court and if you can find it in your point guard that’s even better and tyrese hallebertton a poster guard for long elite level point guards first free throw is good hallebertton is just one of those young guys that has a really well-rounded game makes shots pretty much from anywhere on the floor [Applause] and he makes both free throws seems like hallebertton is always looking to do a little more always making the extra effort that’s fairly rare two minutes now played in the second quarter gil alexander got it good job in the low post gilas alexander’s got nine terrific design and execution leading to an opportunity right at the rim jackson outside pass to hallebertton the basket drops and he gets fouled on the shot one free throw coming his way hallebertton was hungry for that hoop taking the ball right to the rack and drawing the foul indiana shooting their fifth free throw of the game here mind the lanes find the lanes one shot free throw no good for hallebertton he wasn’t quite as assertive as he needed to be in the first quarter but now he’s taking a more headon approach and getting himself to the line a tad short but it’s good off the front iron gilg alexander’s got five points now this quarter [Applause] outside burks that’s good his first made shot in three attempts i mean they’ve been relentless just keep getting shots at the rim well the defensive rotations have been a step slow and has really helped them get that ball inside time after time here’s wallace count that bucket against good defense he finds just enough room to operate indiana leading by eight outside burks jackson the screen burks no good the thunder have gotten three or four field goals in the second quarter oh got that one up quick wallace has got his third bucket of the night not sure what the defense was thinking i mean you can’t leave this guy open from deep jackson the screen [Applause] pass to the three is up that’s good and hallebertton gets the assist toppin’s got five that’s been typical of their performance today they’re sharing the ball and creating good shots really a prime example of the difference in how these teams have operated offensively much more individual play at the other end yeah a defense has to be very aware of gilgus alexander’s attack mindset he wants to get to the rim and do maximum damage pass to hallebertton misses off the left iron thunder trail by six wallace outside williams a screen on burks wallace again oklahoma city for indiana they’ve gotten four of eight shots to drop in the second hallebertton outside pass to toppin three-pointer another three for indiana well making threes is vital for tophin developing his stretch big skill gilg alexander passes to williams wallace with it man here wiggins outside six on the shot clock let’s go with a three the pacers pull it in they’ve led by as many as 11 defeated by washington in their last game they’ll try to put that one behind them yeah they made a lot of plays and they were in it until the end just couldn’t do enough to get the win yeah you know they didn’t have their best stuff but they were still getting after it so you got to really appreciate the effort and hustle and they’re top five and preventing points they have a number of guys who can defend multiple positions and they work well together as a unit ranking number one in steals this team gets after it on the defensive end they aren’t afraid to take chances and go for opportunities to take the ball when they see them on the miss on the missbound no good on that one so for oklahoma city hardenstein he’s checked in for williams williams comes in for joe and it’s alex caruso in for wallace and a new group getting ready for indiana miles turner he’s checked in for jackson seakum comes in for tophen mather’s checked in for burks and it’s nimhart in for mcconnell good on the second one and so it’s hallebertton with it he brings it up for the pacers six-point lead and after this one they’re at home against sacramento that’ll be the first of three games played at home matherin passes to seakkum and again it’s the pacers from deep well i think they’re getting caught in that in between zone no man’s land giving up three straight from beyond the arc right now williams a screen on hallebertton shay with a step and turner with the block miles turner denying another one one of the league’s best shot blockers year in and year out outside matherin back to seakum this one for three the thunder pull it in he had more than enough room to hit that just couldn’t make it happen wiggins finds williams counted from distance williams has got five now they are shooting it well from beyond the arc right now hallebertton against gilis alexander shot from 12 no good a bit long that time thunder trail by six here’s wiggins seakum pulls down the board hallebertton outside back to seakkum help out pass to turner hartinstein pulls it in hardenstein’s got his fourth rebound in this one oh got on the wing caruso he’s guarded by nimhart the rebound by turner pacers leading by six matherin passes to hallebertton and here’s turner he’s guarded by hartinstein for three matherin hartenstein pulls it in hardenstein’s got rebound number five here tonight here’s williams add that to his line now three for six he’s finally started to settle down here in the second quarter just needed to work up a sweat hallebertton the pass to matherin go right here up top nim hard gilis alexander with a steal it’s an even threeon-ree break and it’s flush down a nice jam running the show gilis alexander is talented as a passer indiana’s gone three for seven from the perimeter during the second [Applause] quarter seakum [Applause] outside nails it he’s now six for eight from the floor tell you what he has been feeling it guys and the best game plan right now it’s elementary just keep feeding him let him eat and we’ve got a timeout called by mark dagnel coach wants to speak to his guys maybe alter some of the game plan heat heat [Applause] thank you [Applause] lou dort he’s checked in for oklahoma city joe comes in for shay gilis alexander mcconnell he’s checked in for indiana [Applause] joe the pass to caruso dort for three knocks down the triple dorch’s got eight points not afraid to shoot dort has become more confident in his jumper and you see why [Applause] seakum looking it over ooh now seven for nine after that make and his fantastic performance from the last game has carried over to tonight and you know that’s how it goes with him i mean his hot streaks guys don’t last minutes they last days door outside outside joe over mcconnell and it’s oklahoma city scoring again you got to appreciate the consistency night in and night out he brings it seakov [Applause] outside for three nanin oklahoma city grabs a miss started out strong from three-point land hit two in the first quarter but he’s gone dry since hartinstein no good one reason this game is so tight is because both teams are hitting the boards with reckless abandon the battle to a standstill on the boards is really been something to watch and the game’s not over yet we’ll see if one of these teams maintains more energy than the other going down the stretch pass to williams here’s dort he’s covered by matherin five on the clock dort the pass to hartinstein the rebound by turner indiana leading by four turner can always wow you with a highlight play but clark he’s gotten better at the small things as well yeah i agree with you 100% there he can shoot the three he’s always been an elite shot blocker from the day he stepped foot in the nba an excellent screener but he has added small pieces to his total game in the little areas williams misses and seakov has got the ball here for the pacers they’ve led by as many as 11 and they’ll get another chance nimhard the pass to mcconnell shot clock at six seakkum against williams seakkum no good it’s never easy from that distance but we see him drill those and shoot around all the time well that looked to me guys like a heat check and was maybe a step out of his [Applause] range nimhard [Applause] outside pass to seakum lets it go from deep fires in the triple seakum’s got 20 points and he’s carried them this quarter a dominant offensive stretch now here’s joe he’s marked by mcconnell outside joe mcconnell with a steal to the middle here’s turner yes and it’s mcconnell with the assist that time and now an 11-point indiana lead oklahoma city has gone four of nine so far from the perimeter two second difference between shot and game clock joe with a ball working on seiakum oh and turner with a block there’s the defensive presence they want from turner hustling and using his mobility to send it back set it up mcconnell passes to seakum with one on the clock oh and the buzzer beater is good great job ending the quarter on a high note nothing like knocking down that last possession of a quarter to give you a little feelgood momentum and so it’s indiana in command with a 13-point lead at the end of the quarter how about the way they’ve attacked the paint this throwback approach is paying off well now a minute to check in with ally leforce she’s courtside hey ally well i’m here with coach rick carile a hot start coach what did you like about this team’s execution offensively uh we were making some shots uh we moved the ball well at times you’ve got to be careful about having the ball stick when they’re doing their switching good luck with the ball movement in the second half thanks coach thanks very much ally and folks we’ll be right back to start the second half of this game [Music] let’s go back in time to shaq’s rookie season kenny what was your first impression of him i was in shock i never seen a combination of size and skill that couldn’t beat us i knew he couldn’t beat now let’s take some time to talk about our game and pascal seakum he had a half to remember seakum is in the zone finding plenty of ways to impact the game pumping up his team with that energy versatile in how he’s used he can blend in or do it all himself and that’ll do it for us thanks for stopping by we’ll head back down to brian anderson and crew for the start of the third quarter [Music] and with the second half upon us we’ll find out if this game becomes the route that it’s threatening to be man what can you say pascal seakkum an impressive effort here today yeah in the first half he taught a class on how to make your teammates look good and you know that’s what delights him most that’s what he takes most pride in he loves being the chief facilitator so it’s the pacers now this is the most they’ve led 13 points shay and caruso are the backcourt pair in it forward it’s dordan williams and it’s hardenstein in at the center position locking down the middle that’s the lineup for oklahoma city here’s seakkum uses the glass on the layup seakum’s got 24 points they’ve been very well-rounded and extremely focused almost no holes in their performance tonight they’ve been tremendous outside gilg alexander strong take from gilis alexander and i like what the defense was thinking but gilis alexander just outworks them and gets his shot hallebertton against gilis alexander turner a screen on gilis alexander here’s seakkum some solid defense from williams thunder trail by 13 caruso outside pass to dort back to caruso right here right here to the paint here’s gilas alexander and slam dunk by gilis alexander ooh bouncy that should give him a nice lift good timing they needed that one and you know that’s exactly what happens when you don’t settle that’s the result tremendous effort and a big time finish there here’s matherin seakum outside just five on the clock back to matherin hallebertton for three no good on the shot and even after airtight defense like that you still just expect him to hit those kind of shots dort the pass to caruso to the inside here’s gilas alexander no good there that would have cut it to single digits indiana leading by 11 down low here’s turner it’s not going to go for him good work defensively by hartinstein for oklahoma city they’ve got two of three from the floor in this third quarter here’s gilas alexander oo excellent d there from turner you know i think the effort on defense there has everything to do with why he missed that shot well done and seakum gets it to go seakum’s got 26 yeah certain nights seakum takes over he’s been aggressive here from the tip and we’ve got a timeout called by mark dnel he’s going to talk it over with his guys protecting the rim has to be their top objective right now yeah you know just look at the numbers guys i mean they are being taken to the woodshed in the paint [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] as we near the postseason let’s see where the west has shaken out you look at oklahoma city with great effort over a long season they’re second in the conference i think for the thunder they’ve been terrific throughout the regular season showing they may be just the team to beat in the postseason you know the way they’ve handled just about every challenge that’s been thrown at them this year i don’t see how they couldn’t be considered front runners for the title williams finds dort now gilas alexander six to shoot oh the determination from gilis alexander scoring well this quarter picking up steam as he goes hallebertton the pass to [Applause] seakkum 13 ft out caruso grabs the board thunder trail by 11 pass to hardenstein look at me matherine against dort back to hardenstein williams on the wing right at the free throw line the rebound by turner turner’s got rebound number five here tonight matherin with a ball thornton with a steal inside here’s the break here’s a look at the schedule for the oklahoma city thunder on monday they’ll defend home court against the chicago bulls then on wednesday it’ll be the detroit pistons coming to town and you know for that matchup with the rockets that’s a game where you’d be surprised to see them lose they’d have to have a really off night for them to get upset there two that free throw good from gilg alexander grant it seems like teams today are much more data driven than in years past yeah i agree ba it’s much more sophisticated and of course coaches and executives are still watching the games and forming their gut opinions but now those impressions can be cross-cheed with the numbers he’s perfect from the line this time and here’s indiana now now sakum he’s got 26 on the wing nimhart to the paint here’s matherin and count that two points and a chance for one more at the line and just a tremendous ability to finish no backing down at all from matherin and a look now at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for the pacers you know all game long they’ve imposed their will on the interior scoring a lot of points in the painted area well something else that stands out is how they’ve shared the ball i mean they’re getting a lot of their points from sharp passing that free throw good from matherin pretty easy to get excited about benedict matan’s potential he’s got a high motor and a terrific set of athletic skills and the ability to knock it down here’s gilg alexander oh and there’s the whistle on the shot so two free throws for him coming up yeah and you never want to let shots at the rim go uncontested yeah i couldn’t agree with you more i mean that’s the message they were sending with that foul nothing easy inside take a break take a break two shots that free throw good from gilgis alexander on the miss both free throws good from gilas alexander they’re doing some good work at the line this half yeah they’re making the most of their opportunities at the stripe and they’ll need to keep it up to take the lead hallebertton finds yakob down it goes and a great assist by hallebertton hallebertton’s got four assists now tonight thunder trail by 12 clark we hear a lot of talk about hallebertton supreme court vision just how good is it i think it’s phenomenal ba to be the facilitator that he is you’ve got to have an understanding of what you’re trying to run but also a feel for how to get people shots and to adjust on the fly to what the defense is providing and it’s feel as much as it is skill feeling where defenders are feeling where your teammates are or might be and that is a gift and he’s honed that in a way that’s made him one of the top dime droppers in the league sga just powering through contact yeah and gilas alexander is a fighter someone that challenges the defense and bullies his way through contact hallebertton the pass to matherin now turner right there hardenstein pulls it in hardenstein’s got rebound number eight here already in the game oh shay showing no fear inside can’t blame the deficit on him he’s been scoring at will this period seakum outside there’s a screen by turner [Applause] seakum in the post williams defending and seakum gets it to go clutch buckets he’s paving the way as they hit the home stretch and we’ve got a timeout called by mark dagnel a moment to rest and confer on the game plan boy you look at pascal seakkum he’s been playing really well he’s been on a mission attacking the basket all game long i’m curious to see what adjustments they can make [Applause] oklahoma city making a switch here joe’s checked in and the pacers also making a change mcconnell he’s checked in for matherin [Applause] now here’s caruso he’s guarded by nimhart hartinstein with a screen on mcconnell here’s gilg alexander pass to hardenstein fires from deep offensive rebound controls the rebound and the put back and those second chance buckets are major bonus points if you can get him [Applause] mcconnell against gilis alexander turner finds hallebertton oh and he got fouled on his way up he’ll head to the line to shoot two it’s on isaiah hardenstein hallebertton so versatile and skilled this guy finds ways to keep the defense off balance pretty consistently he’s got free throw attempts four and five here yeah guys i mean he’s been a very steady hand for them when it comes to his free throw shooting big and he drops a first and both free throws good for hallebertton and here’s gilas alexander he’ll bring it up for the oklahoma city thunder they trail by 11 and let’s send it over to alli leforce brian miles turner the 11th pick by the pacers in 2015 for much of his career with the team he’s endured the trade rumors he said “i’ve still got ptsd from that but i wanted to be here in indie and last season a renegotiation of his contract giving him an extension and a raise.” ryan he is locked in as their starting center yeah it would appear so oh ally thank you here’s williams and the rebound goes to the pacers turner’s got rebound number seven tonight not his best night and not the team’s best night sometimes it just goes that way driving lanes are created because they have to respect hallebertton’s perimeter shot caruso outside joe and there’s a pick that one’s good and so gilgus alexander with the assist joe’s gotten his third basket of the night one of the reasons they’re behind is because we haven’t seen enough of that he needs to become a bigger part of the offense mcconnell outside back to hallebertton there’s the three and the rebound goes to the thunder following this one they get to host the bulls and they’ll be reaching the back half of a four-game home stretch caruso finds gilis alexander banked it in off the glass gilas alexander’s got 18 points in just the second half boy he’s making it look really easy right now i expect him to continue to run the offense through him until the defense makes them change plans here’s hallebertton tyrese playing big in the painted area like the way hallebertton continues to take more responsibility on the offensive end his game warrants that he does [Applause] that kick it out parked it down low that time got hit with the 3-second call and they’re one of the top five rebounding teams in the league they put in a lot of work down low they’re an intimidating team when they’re attacking the boards and the free throw shooting you mentioned they’re not a team you can be too physical against they don’t waste their chances at the line so for oklahoma city williams comes in for hardenstein and it’s wiggins in for gilis alexander toppen he’s checked in for indiana burks comes in for nimhart watch him williams against seakum here’s hallebertton williams grabs the board thunder trail by 10 pass to williams and here’s wiggins and the ball out of play the pacers will have it and we’ve got a moment here to show you this season’s most aggressive defensive teams the fourth spot held by oklahoma city they’re quick to help each other and they have some tremendous athletes with a nose for the ball wallace he’s checked in for oklahoma city the pacers also with a sub jackson is checked in indiana leading by 10 pass to seakum wiggins with a steal pushing it up the floor here comes oklahoma city and the quickness in transition i mean i like watching williams convert in these situations the pacers have gone 50% from the field in the third quarter eight of 16 mcconnell passes to seakkum toppin outside for three it’s good and give the assist to seakum seakum’s got his sixth assist of the night oklahoma city’s gone five of 12 from three-point range tonight wiggins with a screen on mcconnell here’s wallace oo coming through again shooting five for seven now and their outside game is simply evaporated here in the second half not a lot of great looks from deep [Applause] burks passes to mcconnell the turnaround jay and no good trying to use the glass thunder trail by nine joe with the ball now burks defending yep count it joe’s got nine if you give him any sort of space he’s going to attack 119 left to play in the third quarter seakum hits the jump hook and the pacers lead by nine they’ve toned down their three-point attack in the second half looking to protect the lead with higher percentage shots wallace the pass to joe and here is williams back to wiggins clock at six for three williams misses the way he’s struggling this quarter he’s only adding to their troubles they need his offense to come around here’s seakkum mcconnell outside and stolen by williams and that’s what happens when you don’t take care of the ball hey that makes the turnover hurt even more what you you mean the throw down at the end i’ll tell you what fellas i mean the highlight shows are going to pain them even more seakum in the post wiggins on him seakum gets the bucket yeah he’s been having his way this quarter attacking the basket and protecting their lead outside williams [Applause] again the miss by williams and that’ll do it for the third quarter indiana ahead up by nine all right we’re going to step aside for just a second but join us right back here for the start of quarter number four next and a moment now as we take a look at our state farm assist of the game this is the definition of team chemistry i love to see this kind of communication and connection between teammates leading to the perfect pass for me next to the big time alley oops and monster throwdowns passes like that are probably the next best thing when it comes to sweet looking nba highlights fourth quarter action is upon us thanks as always for joining us and a look at the five for the pacers to start the fourth quarter they’ve got tyrese hallebertton to it out there with alec burks then it’s jackson and it’s mcconnell in at the point guard position shot clock at six williams with the screen here’s joe indiana with a rebound jackson’s got six rebounds now in the game outside burks he takes it in two shots first one falls if they keep hitting free throws at this clip it’ll help them seal the deal yeah they’ve not missed a single foul shot this half and that’s taking care of business fellas and that one goes in two from the line that time thunder trail by 11 now here’s wallace pass to joe now here’s gilis alexander he’s marked by mcconnell gilas alexander passes to joe five to shoot oklahoma city’s got to hurry they got to get up a shot and there’s a whistle that’ll belong to shay gilis alexander that’s his first foul of the game i love great defense just quick to establish his feet and he takes the hit and not afraid to put his body on the line either he took a shot for the team in that situation there’s a screen by tophen hallebertton the pass to topphen now here’s jackson williams [Applause] defending hallebertton outside oh two physical points for hallebertton that shot by hallebertton not easy taking the hit and still finishing the play [Applause] now here’s wallace he’s guarded closely pass to williams from the arc and toppin pulls it down indiana leading by 13 hallebertton outside [Applause] back to mcconnell hallebertton outside that one’s good on the assist from mcconnell mcconnell’s got his fifth assist in this one oklahoma city shooting a solid 53% from the floor wiggins with a screen on hallebertton here’s wallace and again oklahoma city no good well that’s a rare miss for him inside he may have just rushed it a bit maybe lost concentration too hallebertton the pass to mcconnell burks a screen on gilis alexander on the wing burks the rebound by shay gilis alexander sometimes it’s just not your night fortunately his teammates have picked up the slack wallace outside gets the three to fall boy he’s really been dominant in this one unfortunately he hasn’t had much help go go go go go toppin outside swinging get through it we’re in the final quarter play here three minutes in and the dunk by jackson attacking the rim with power tremendous finish really piling on the lead with a dunk like that shoots from the line good gilgis alexander’s got 33 he’s been shooting with great consistency tonight love to see that confident play on offense outside burks jackson the screen to the middle and the dunk by jackson outstanding distribution there i mean what impressive passing ability thunder trail by 15 wiggins with a screen on hallebertton wallace the pass to wiggins hey how’s that for an answer right back with a dunk and what an aggressive move to the rim he’s really trying to fire up his teammates right now boy it’s not hard to feel inspired after a teammate makes that kind of finish yeah you know when you’re looking to close the gap you need guys who will take it upon themselves to step up take the initiative and make something happen that’s three buckets in a row off assist so it’s the thunder now here’s gilas alexander and he drops it in from the low post gilas alexander’s got 35 he’s bringing a lot of energy to this offense not letting the scoreboard discourage him right now boy i tell you what the hole would be a lot deeper if he wasn’t being as efficient as he’s been so far two points that one goes perks has got four points this quarter and another great assist the offense is really clicking now you know the defense has really been kept off balance because of the outstanding passes four straight field goals have been made off an assist gilg alexander shot is good doing all he can so far but they still find themselves trailing mcconnell finds burks hallebertton with a ball fires from the line and he gets it to go off the front iron and he’s got 28 now all five guys are in sync their ball movement is flawless the last five trips they’ve had have ended with a great pass leading to a basket they’re really sharing the sugar here’s wallace no good there great d that time from hallebertton indiana leading by 15 mcconnell outside hey yo right here right here pass to burks [Applause] driving to the basket that one’s good on the assist from mcconnell their offense is really humming right now and it’s because of the beautiful ball distribution 10 straight points off assist that’s very impressive and it also makes the game easy and fun to watch gilas alexander gets to the corner and hits it gilas alexander’s got 39 and gilas alexander understands this team wants him to be aggressive on offense love watching him go to work and we’ll have a timeout here called by rick carile he is not messing around calling them into the huddle [Applause] heat heat heat heat and a new group getting ready for oklahoma city hardenstein he’s checked in for williams jaylen williams comes in for wiggins lou dort he’s checked in for joe and it’s caruso in for wallace so indiana going with an almost entire new group here turner he’s checked in for jackson pascal seakkum comes in for tophen benedict matherin he’s checked in for burks and it’s nimhart in for mcconnell let’s go now to the sideline and catch up with alli leforce well over the break i listened in on rick carile’s huddle and despite the lead they are still coaching this team hard in the huddle they told their guys to stay alert do not give them anything easy they want to protect this late lead ba thank you for that ally caruso the pass to williams down low here’s gilas alexander it doesn’t go for him ooh excellent d there from turner come get it come get it and he lobbs it up to the rim and seyakum with the slam over time we have seen seakkum blossom into a star someone who’s comfortable shouldering the offense pass to hardenstein and there’s a whistle he’ll head to the line to shoot two take a break take a break two shots and that one falls for hardenstein off on that one so he goes one out of two at the line pacers leading by 16 pass to nimhard shoots over caruso nimhard good and i’ll tell you matherin’s passing game has a solid foundation now hopefully it continues to grow here gilis alexander against hallebertton and that one’s good gilas alexander even if this game doesn’t go their way he has to be proud of his performance tonight now seakkum back to hallebertton and stolen by hartinstein they push it up four on three here’s dort pass to williams [Applause] caruso outside gilis alexander with a ball a big triple gilis alexander well they’re still losing but it’s not because of him he’s been lights out this [Applause] quarter hallebertton the pass to seakum tried to answer back but that three is off the mark since hitting two triples in the first half he’s been non-existent from out there here’s williams seakkum pulls down the board seakum’s got six rebounds now in the game nimhard the pass to matherin now here’s hallebertton pass to turner and stolen by hartinstein here’s gilas alexander dort finds gilas alexander hardenstein with a screen on hallebertton from deep gilis alexander tell you what the defense was lucky there i mean leave him that open from range he’ll typically knock it down seakum outside hallebertton outside from behind the ark it’s a three-pointer hallebertton’s got 10 points now just in this quarter a terrific effort from hallebertton so far offensively he’s not holding anything back on that end of the floor and mark dagnalt has called a timeout rallying his guys to make sure they all know the [Applause] plan [Applause] [Applause] heat heat [Applause] [Applause] heat heat [Applause] [Applause] hey stay gilas alexander with a ball williams a screen on matherin here’s dort and he drives in lays it up and banks it in and you see the acceleration from dort just a great athlete they can take their time if they want yes you have to regroup make sure you get a good shot back to hallebertton there’s a screen by turner takes a three that one doesn’t drop and it’s dor with the ball for the thunder it’s a 14-point game here’s gilas alexander using his post moves to get the two points gilas alexander’s got 46 indiana’s gone two of four from the perimeter here in the fourth quarter and here’s hallebertton turner a screen on gilis alexander here’s hallebertton and he’s going to the line for two the officials saw contact while he was going up nice job by hallebertton showing you the toughness that time going right into that defense and drawing the foul [Applause] and he makes a [Applause] first ball we’ll be back with you and both free throws good for hallebertton thunder trail by 14 outside gilis alexander and the layup is good off the glass gilas alexander’s got 48 he’s scoring the rock at will but he needs more help from his teammates nimhard the pass to hallebertton back to nimhart williams against seakkum over williams oklahoma city grabs a miss and there’s no way this margin gets closed down great execution of a game plan and a nice win here for the pacers i think it was their play in the paint that got them the win tonight and the defense seemed powerless to stop them down low resulting in plenty of high percentage shots for them and for the year now they’ve chocked up 35 wins and this team really wanted to at least split this season series absolutely i mean they had this date circled on the calendar for redemption i mean you never want to lose two games and be swept it can be harder in an east west game than playing against teams in your own conference so this is a big win for him and it was a reliably solid performance from one of their key guys a tremendous game for pascal seakkum tell you what this guy worked his behind off on both ends of the floor he was really an intimidating presence out there take a break take a break two shots and he knocks down the first one both free throws good from gilas alexander 34 seconds left in the fourth quarter of this one mcconnell against gilgous alexander hallebertton outside and the dunk by hallebertton they really came in with the right mindset today i can guarantee you their flight home will be filled with some smiles yep to have a stress-free win on the road very satisfying the fans are already headed for the exits [Applause] and so the pacers take the win they have to feel good about this performance it’s one they can be proud of very true i mean when you’re out on the road the winds can feel a little sweeter this one has to feel extra
