so could the San Antonio Spurs be trading away Devin Facel to the Utah Jazz this 2025NBA off seasonason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacherreport.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Utah Jazz uh trading away Lori Markin to the San Antonio Spurs for Devin Vel Harrison Barnes the 14th overall draft pick a 2029 first round draft pick and a 2032 first round pick swap so in my personal opinion if I’m the Spurs my number one priority this offseason would be to land one of Giannis or Durant and if that’s not the scenario that happens I would probably shift towards a player of Lori Markin’s caliber now the asking price for him could be quite high but truthfully speaking uh just you know analyzing this trade right now it’s not that much compared to what they could be giving up for the other two players that I mentioned before if the Spurs are able to keep the number two overall draft pick this year they’re able to keep Kelvin Johnson and they’re able to keep some other draft capital as well which in this scenario they would be uh by not giving up any Hawks picks you’re getting back a pretty decent player like as a third option Lori Markin would make a ton of sense uh behind WBY and De’aran Fox so I think that if they’re able to give give up a reasonable asking price uh for Lori Markin if I’m the Spurs I would make this trade no questions asked now if I’m the Utah Jazz it’s not a terrible trade but um I would probably try to get back a little bit more in my opinion so Fel and Barnes good roster players you know add some depth to this group it’s not terrible um it makes the money work as well the 14th pick this year could be valuable but where you’re getting back to most value in my opinion is the draft picks down the road in 2029 and 2032 probably not 2029 because with this you know how this Spurs first team is built they’re going to probably be pretty good in 2029 but you never know seven years from now what this team looks like and how they’re going to play maybe they’re a lottery team who knows what’s going to happen so truthfully speaking I’ve seen some you know I’ve seen a lot higher trade packages for Lori Markin um the last couple weeks now so I think all things considered it’s not actually that much of a trade um I guess not not not that much to give up in my opinion for a Lori Markin deal so without a doubt I think the winner of this deal would be the San Antonio Spurs but as always leave your thoughts
