Raptors FAVOURITES for Giannis Trade – Multiple Major Updates | Raptors News

we have multiple major Toronto Raptors updates to discuss as the Raptors have been on that quest to acquire Giannis onto Tumbo and now the team is reportedly favorites to land Giannis in a trade this off season Of course the team does have the package put together in terms of making a really exceptional offer to the Milwaukee Bucks but there are a couple reports regarding the indications about whether or not Giannis will actually be traded this off season which makes all this a lot more complicated So we’re going to break down all the latest reports how the Toronto Raptors became favorites to land Giannis onto the Kobo ahead of the Spurs ahead of the Knicks ahead of these different teams and what we can actually expect from this Giannis sweep stakes heading into the offseason because we are all on that watch right now We are all looking at the private jets looking at the little tweets looking at all the reports that are coming out regarding Giannis onto Tumbo and his future with the Milwaukee Bucks We’ve been down this path for years now at this point but it’s never been hotter than it has been entering this off season And the Raptors now are in a better position to ever acquire Spurs have jumped the Knicks have jumped the Rockets in terms of being the favorites to land Giannis onto Tumbo if he requests a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks Now this is a significant this is a massive development because we’ve heard a ton of news reports updates about all the teams jockeying and vying to land Giannis over the course of this off seasonason After the reports I won’t bring it up again about how Shams revealed that it’s the first point where Giannis could consider requesting a trade or parting ways or seeing a future without him wearing the green and white for the Milwaukee Bucks So the Raptors right now have positioned themselves as the most likely destination to Atlanta And why is this Well the Spurs have been favorites for most of this off season after this whole Giannis sweep stakes started elevating And that’s because they have a ton of draft picks It makes a ton of sense for them to go after Giannis But as I broke down before all these odds adjusted there were a lot of reports escalating about the Spurs leaning into the Kevin Durant sweep stakes as well as pursuing Jaylen Brown So there are more options the San Antonio Spurs are looking at in terms of making moves happen And the Knicks while they definitely can put together as been quoted the tsunami offer for a Giannis onto Takumbo in one of these trades and one of these moves that are going down they don’t have the draft capital to send out a blockbuster monster package or the young talent really to send out a package for Giannis It’s just kind of win now players and the Bucks will not be better by trading Giannis to acquire like Carl Anthony Towns and OG It’s just not how the roster is going to make sense going forward into the future So Giannis while the Knicks can put together a very good win now offer the Raptors can certainly put together the better package if Scotty Barnes involved And heck even if Scotty Barnes not involved if you offered you know a ton of the assets the Raptors had I personally think they can make a more competitive offer than the New York Knicks But I digress on all that The Raptors right now Messiah Jerry is looking at this He’s going all in He’s looking at everything that’s going on and saying “Hey the Raptors we are if Giannis is available we are going to go full tilt and go after him.” But the big question is whether or not he’s available And we’ve seen the the the report saying it You know there’s mutual interest between Giannis and the Toronto Raptors The wild card is the cost I think they’ll probably talk about Scotty Barnes as a centerpiece I don’t think there’s anybody on the roster they wouldn’t talk to So you know these are the reports that come out regarding Giannis onto Tacumbo which makes a ton of sense I mean Giannis 30 points per game 12 rebounds six points five assists 1.2 blocks one steals top three player in the NBA You know as much as it would be difficult to get rid of Scotty Burns in one of these packages it’s uh it’s a cost of doing business for a super duper star And we’ll see Obviously the package we’ll see if it’s a heist for the Bucks for the Raptors if it does end up playing out But that’s the big question right now whether or not the Messiah Jerry will actually have the opportunity to make one of these moves because as this quote says right the Raptors are betting favorites if he requests a trade from the Bucks That’s the first the big if in all this And looking at the Bucks roster looking at everything that they have going on right Damen Lillard has torn his Achilles and eating up a giant piece of the cap for the next two seasons So that’s a tough position for them to be in Kyle Kosma is absolutely was was bad last season for the Milwaukee Bucks You know it was not a not a good look for uh for Koozma 15 points per game 5.7 rebounds two assists You know for a guy making 20 million bucks shooting 30% from the three-point line 20 32% from quarter threes at 29 years old right that uh contract is not looking too good for a team that is looking to improve their assets Ray Kusma was not strong last season So in the playoffs wasn’t getting a ton of run This roster is in a desperate spot and Giannis has talked about wanting to win and not only do the Bucks not have their draft picks but they also don’t really have any trades any movement Brook Lopez on his way out It’s an old aging roster with not a ton of cap flexibility So what can the Bucks do Really nothing here now at this point because they don’t have any options Damen Lillard’s not even going to be on the team next season because he tore his Achilles Like it is well he’s going to be on the team but he’s not going to be able to play It is just a messy messy situation for this team moving forward So all eyes and speculation are not not only like Giannis requesting a trade but whether or not it’s possible but there has been some conflicting reports because Sham’s essentially alluded to Giannis a trade request incoming or something along those lines but there has been some smoke in regards to a trade not happening now in this time So we’ll break this down cuz this is one that’s getting sent a ton around NBA’s fairs is the Milwaukee Bucks star Jannis Takumbo has made it clear he intends to remain with the franchise and is not plan to request a trade this off seasonason at this juncture according to people close to him sources tell me Now this is an account with 200 2,800 followers out there on Twitter and uh I did some digging I couldn’t really find him anywhere in terms of different spots Apparently he’s gotten some right stuff in the past but uh that’s uh that’s something a lot of Bucks fans are running with I’ve seen get thrown around Raptors Twitter a ton So that’s that But one report from Jake Fischer essentially is a little bit more substantive in terms of common belief amongst league insiders is that he will remain the only franchise he’s ever played for and that the momentum on a trade has significantly stalled Now we are at a very interesting point in the offseason The draft is upcoming We’ve seen these types of things in terms of trade requests uh go up and down up and down up and down in terms of whether or not they’re going to happen or not So it’s uh we’ll see Like I you know I always bring up the reports that are gaining traction whether or not they have any uh you know weight to them I’m not super leaning into this one but again maybe I’m just biased against uh you know wanting him to be out there at least on the market but Jake Fischer saying this makes you know belief amongst lead insiders is that he’ll remain with the only franchise he’s ever played for So of course if Giannis doesn’t request a trade I don’t imagine the Milwaukee Bucks will want to move him They just signed John Horus long term But frankly like looking at the roster I feel like it makes sense for the Bucks to just move on from Giannis Of course if Giannis wants to stay he’s adamant about staying It doesn’t make sense for your relationship building across the league to trade him But there are no options over the next two seasons for them to get any better whatsoever with this roster They don’t have their picks They don’t have any movement in terms of you know they’re locked into the big three of David Liller Kyus with Yiannis Like there’s no world that this roster gets better And then after multiple seasons where Yiannis trade value goes down it just doesn’t make sense on the Bucks head It doesn’t make sense on Yiannis’ head to keep this relationship going no matter how loyalty you are to this team So I would not be shocked especially where the report from Shams that got the most stretch that got the most weight came out and said like he’s looking at he’s more open to the ideal of making a trade and having some team meetings and stuff But again Giannis is fiercely loyal He’s made comments about how he doesn’t want to go out and join super teams He doesn’t want to go into different places So if there is one superstar that would come out and stay with their team stay with their organization it probably would be Giannis onto Takumbo but literally it doesn’t make sense for either side in my opinion at this point except for like Jersey sales having a big name out there in Milwaukee and then maybe hoping two three years down the line things are rocking But again Giannis is going to be not out of the primary curve by any stretch of the imagination But then you just start your rebuild essentially and that’s going to be very very tough to do So I mean respect to Giannis if he does stay with his home team I do respect the character I do respect you know if you’re going to fight it out and stay with your home fans and stuff like that But as a Raptors fan and someone you know we played Milwaukee a couple times in the playoffs I’m not a big fan of the Milwaukee Bucks I will want to see on us request a trade and the Raptors
