so could the Toronto Raptors be trading away Scotty Barnes to the Milwaukee Bucks this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacher report.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Toronto Raptors trading Scotty Barnes Oce Akbaji Jacobe Walter the number nine overall draft pick this year a 2027 firstround draft pick and a 2029 first round draft pick to the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis and to the Kmpo so the last couple dates at the time of recording this video there actually has been some reporting and some speculation on uh the Raptors and Giannis potentially having mutual interest this offseason this is also followed by the Raptors reportedly having no untouchables on this roster in a potential Giannis into Dakoupo trade so if Giannis was to ask for a trade I would expect a team like the Raptors to do the fullcourt press to land him i know there’s been some uh you know some reporting the last couple years as well about Messiah Jir’s interest in Giannis and their relationship etc so I think Giannis going to Toronto especially as an international player could be awesome like the country of Canada would love this guy toronto would love this guy and sort of like Kawhi Leonard back in 2019 if he can win a championship with this group he’ll be remembered for the rest of time he won’t have to buy a single thing in Toronto for as long as he plays there so I think that the the Raptors going after Giannis makes a lot of sense it changes the culture of this team it adds a legit star player to this team and I think all things considered you’re giving up a decent amount but truthfully speaking there’s no untouchables on this team so want to do all you can to land Giannis now from the Bucks perspective if you are going to get a player um give up a player like Giannis what do you want to get back in return from Toronto well this is kind of the best it gets you get back Scotty Barnes the focal point of this team he’s a star in this league perhaps he goes to Milwaukee and kind of you know turns into a superstar that’s possible a couple roster players not terrible uh but a ninth overall draft this year in a pretty deep draft a couple first round draft picks down the road probably nothing crazy with Giannis on the team so I think if Giannis were to get traded other teams like the Spurs the Mavericks the Rockets etc they can put together a better package there’s no question about that but if he wanted to go to Toronto or was only waving for a couple teams then this could make some sense in my opinion but without a doubt the winner of this deal would have to be the Toronto Raptors landing Jiannis into the Kumbo um Scotty Barnes is a good piece but after that not amazing in my opinion but those are just my thoughts leave yours down below
