so could the Denver Nuggets be trading away Michael Porter Jr to the Charlotte Hornets this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacher report.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Denver Nuggets receiving Lori Markin the Charlotte Hornets receiving Michael Porter Jr and the Utah Jazz receiving Josh Green Grant Williams Josh Akoji Zeke Naji a 2027 first round draft pick from the Miami Heat uh and a 2032 first round draft pick that is unprotected from the Denver Nuggets so in my personal opinion this would be a pretty intriguing trade for all three teams involved from the Jazz’s perspective they’re getting back a ton of roster players and some draft capital by basically just brokering this trade taking out some contracts from the Hornets and the Nuggets so not a bad move there from the uh you know the Utah Jazz and their organization if you’re the Denver Nuggets I think Lori Min’s an upgrade for sure um over Michael Porter Jr so uh for them a team that kind of fell short in the Western Conference semi-finals last year where depth was a pretty big concern and Michael Porter Jr just wasn’t that great of a of a of a player for them down the stretch this makes some sense like having a starting lineup next year of Jamal Murray um Nicole Joic Aaron Gordon Markin’s probably the three there and Christian Brown is the two that’s a really good starting five they still have to address their depth in my opinion um you know on their bench but uh this is a better trade for them to make than keeping Michael Porter Jr now for the Charlotte Hornets it’s intriguing you’re not giving up that much you know in theory for this but MPJ is a risk like injuries are a massive concern um you know his ability to play a lot of minutes is a concern does he elevate his game in Charlotte potentially does he fit the the timeline of this team he absolutely does but uh I don’t know like truthfully speaking it doesn’t make a ton of sense to me uh for the Hornets to go after Michael Porter Jr uh in this case I’d rather them go after Lori Markin so for the Utah Jazz you’re giving up quite a bit I guess in Lori Markin but to broker this deal you’re getting back a pretty good hall in my opinion so if I had to rank this trade based on who I like it for the most second and least I would say probably the Nuggets one the Jazz 2 and the Hornets 3 but as always leave your thoughts
