and of course joining us now Rockets SI reporter Lashard Binkley lashard good morning to you he brings the scoops hey Lashard we got some rumors out there i need you to either affirm or dispel first of all the Steven Adams rumor what’s What’s going on with that well for the Rockets they definitely he is a priority to bring back they love what he brought to the team last season but now with the way he did play last season in the playoffs there’s a lot of teams that want to bring him in now so they have a lot more competition than they did when they traded for him so it’s really looking like the Rockets would love to bring him back but they do have a backup plan for Lopez’s name to keep in mind just in case now I know there’s some other things we started talking about before the playoffs before the NBA playoffs and the NBA championship actually got heated up as far as the Rockets are concerned are you hearing any trade rumors anything going on with certain people in the in the organization well I know a lot of talk has been about Kevin Durant but I think that a lot a lot of that’s really come from the Phoenix side because they are the desperate team in the situation and the Rockets aren’t necess don’t necessarily have to make a move i think for one player the Rockets would be willing to bring up their young for the Koopo i think any other player that’s a top 10 player will try and bring back the same core and then just adding to that core to improve on what it did this season they going to hold on to Jaylen Green i I think ultimately they will if I had to put money on it I’m not a betting man but if I did I I would believe that Jayla Green and Alan Shagu more than likely would be back next season yeah I’m I’m I’m in I’m inclined to believe with you uh as well all right let’s talk about the NBA championship you have OKC and the Pacers we saw what OKC did to uh Minnesota and the Pacers oh boy to the Knicks and and we’ll talk about what happened with the Knicks in a moment but who you liking in that series i mean Indianapolis is a is a great Cinderella story nobody had them coming out of the East but ultimately Oklahoma City was the best team all season long they have the a top five offense and top five defense and they have the MVP um I think that Indianapolis will get a game or two but I really have Oklahoma City in six yeah I I I’m with you it could be in five but but I think I do believe the Pacers are a little bit better than in five i I I’m more inclined to believe in six or maybe even in seven i’d love to see a seven game series NBA championship cuz I’m just not ready for the NBA to to to end yet all right well let’s talk about the Knicks and Tom Tibido what happened there man why do you fire Tom Tibido i I think it again shows that this is a player league more than it ever has been and I think uh Leon Rose the general manager for the Knicks talked to some of the top players on the Knicks and after that conversation that’s when they made the decision to fire Tom Divo and I think that just lets you know that the players are the ones that really run this league and that really no coach is safe no matter how much success they’ve had in the past i I’m I’m inclined to believe that the league is changing though uh Lashard I think it’s becoming more of a top down league if you will they’re listening to the players we got about 20 seconds they’re listening to the players they’re just not firing these coaches so readily anymore though tom Tippido was an exception yeah yeah like I said ultimately it really comes down to if your top players don’t have your back then the front office has no problem firing you even though you’re still under contract stop all that man really do all right well at least the coaches are making more money now he’s Lashard Beakley Rockets SI certainly appreciate your time sir with all the scoopage we’ll see you next time all right thank you Nate all right thank you guys all right guys coming up next John Mlan joins us talking about the Texans and what’s going on over on Kirby yes we love your
