so could the Utah Jazz be trading away Luri Marketin to the Detroit Pistons this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacherreport.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Detroit Pistons receiving Lori Markin and the Utah Jazz receiving Tobias Harris Marcus Saucer Simone Faton uh Font Etio a 2026 firstround draft pick and a 2028 first round draft pick so in my personal opinion I think if the Pistons were to go ahead and add a star player like Lori Markin this would be a step in the right direction for them uh the Pistons have been linked to some players this off season uh specifically from Boston that of course being Derek White or Drew Holiday for their back courts but could they go to more of a forward to more of a wing and get back Lori Markin they very well could because Kate Cunningham’s a superstar in this league uh the rest of this uh Pistons roster with Ivy etc they’d be retaining those guys in this deal this is not a bad thing for them to do like if they want to add a player give up some future draft picks absolutely but like in 2026 that could very well be a pick in the 20s in 2028 the same thing like you’re getting back Lori Markin you’re getting rid of Tobias Harris Sasser and Fonteio like this is an awesome trade for them they’re able to retain their talents and if they wanted to make a bigger trade and have a big three of Markin um Kate Cunningham maybe bring on like a Kevin Durant or bring on like a um Drew Holiday or bring on a Derek White whatever the case may be they still have the assets to make that happen maybe even a Giannis trade who knows what can happen so from the Pistons perspective awesome uh for the Utah Jazz I think you’re selling a little bit short here on Lori Mkinin like I think Lori Mkinin had a down season this past year no questions asked but for a team that has players like Jaylen Duran and Jaden Ivy you’re not getting those guys back in return or Assar Thompson for that matter not that those guys would be made available per se but if you’re not getting those guys back in return you’d have to get back a lot more draft capital than this especially too that draft capital might not be worth very much um in the foreseeable future so I think without a doubt the winner of this deal would be the Detroit Pistons but as always leave your thoughts
