Bryson Graham as the team’s senior vice president of basketball operations and Philadelphia 76ers executive Peter Dunwittle as the senior vice president of strategy and analytics according to ESPN on Monday now this is a uh Bryson goes from being assistant general manager to general manager in what one year to now becoming the team senior vice president of basketball operations which he’ll work underneath Salah these both these hires of Bryson Graham and Den Whittle will serve as Salah’s I won’t say underlings but assistants let’s just say they will be assisting him in building the the Hawks into something graham and Denno will report to Salai as a part of the new front office structure graham started as the Pelicans intern before advancing to the video coordinator coaching and front office roles in New Orleans he rose to the GM position just last year and leaves after 15 years with the team under former Pelicans head coach of basketball operations David Griffin Octopus graham helped guide successful finds with Herb Jones Trey Murphy III Eves Mei Jose Alvarado Naji Marshall Jordan Hawkins that’s a good list of players he also was part of the staff that drafted Hawks guard Dyson Dames which was a really big one we had a breakout season and won the NBA’s most improved player of the year award right and uh that’s pretty good so the Hawks fired Landry Fields as a general manager on April the 21st and announced a search for the new president of basketball operations while naming Sales the new GM and any potential president hire for the Hawks will be made to complement Salah in that capacity so we don’t know exactly who will be replacing Bryson Graham as the general manager of the Hawks because remember I mean of the Pelicans because we do realize that the Pelicans did add more people we we talked about that early on as a part of Joe Dumas joe Dumos bring in Troy Weaver to be the SC the senior vice president of basketball operations he was an adviser with Washington the prior season prior to that he spent four seasons as the GM with the Pistons and Dumars and Weaver both worked with the Pistons and they didn’t work in Detroit in Detroit at the same time they didn’t the Pistons struggled during Weaver’s tenure uh 74 and 244 and missed the playoffs all four seasons once we versus mo most totalable draft picks was in 2021 when he got Kate Cunningham and that was a pretty good selection you also Wevil worked with the Jazz and OKC as well and then the Pelicans did announce the uh hiring of Jason Hervey who’s the new director of player personnel he was an advanced scout for the Trailblazers before his time at Portland he was the quality control coach for the Timberwolves sound like the getback coach hervey will also worked for the Phoenix Suns his career began as a video coordinator for the Pistons and 05 and09 when Dumas was the general manager pelicans also announced Davis Smith as the team’s basketball operations manager smith is the son of former NBA player Steve Smith who played from 2003 to04 season with the Hornets and Davis Smith like his father played college basketball at Michigan State the younger Smith finished his career with the Spartans back in 2024 and it’s a hell of a day he’s now up into the hierarchy of getting into an NBA team right away right not a bad move so which one of these guys will be the new general manager we don’t know we’ll just have to determine that later on the Pelicans will let us know that but shout out to Bryson Graham he’s no longer here and this is part of the structure in which the team is moving on from some of these guys they got a bunch of new people that’s coming on to the team uh now and this is a good thing we need to see changes at the top may that trickle down throughout the team that leads to wins and more success with the Pelicans man that needs to happen as soon as possible but anyway that’ll be it for the PPR y’all tell me how y’all feel
