well how’ the workout go for you each day uh I felt like it went pretty well Um honestly a lot of communication a lot of stuff I wanted to go in doing Wanted to create an environment where it was a lot of energy um a lot of competitiveness and you know I wanted to go at guys today Um and I feel like whether shot goes in shot doesn’t I got to make sure that stays even kill So I feel like it went pretty well today What are maybe some of the skills you’re trying to show teams and during these workouts um I think just my ability to catch and shoot my ability to play out of closeouts um the NBA is is really going towards a closeout league where you got to be able to shoot pass and drive the ball effectively in like 0.5 seconds So just being able to show that consistently um and being able to know that I’m a good decision maker when I get paint touches How many of these you’ve done so far this is my ninth This is my ninth one Uh you know been going a lot of lot of playing rides a lot of talking to people Um and a lot of just you know kind of up in the air stuff with with teams and stuff It’s kind of weird because you want to get used to a facility and an environment but every time you’re going to a new one but it’s it’s been an amazing experience Are you happy with kind of what you’ve heard from teams about where they see you and like what they like what they think you need to get better at Yeah absolutely Actually you know honestly coming in I think they didn’t really get to know fully me Um they saw me how I played at Tennessee Um and sometimes I can be a little bit different with how you play in another environment Um and I So I think it’s better and it’s been good for teams to see me in a different light Um and I think they’ve been kind of impressed with with how I’ve been able to grow my game in the past couple uh weeks and and months Talking about the SEC you know obviously it was crazy this year I mean what was it like playing in that league and how much did that prepare you for this moment man there’s a lot of words that come to mind Competitive uh you know a lot of film but I think it’s fun man It it was such a fun league cuz every night you was going you were going to go against somebody that wanted to go at you Uh every night especially at Tennessee like almost everybody in the SEC is our rival So so fans were coming uh opposite fans was coming out Um and it was just an exciting environment to be able to play for your school be able to rep your school and be able to go against the best of the best especially as a defender like me I love guarding so I love being able to play against the best offensive players in in the college What can you take from uh Coach Pearl’s legacy uh towards your future coach Pearls Uh he teach you that fight I was with Coach Barnes Coach Barnes It’s okay It’s all good man It’s all good Uh no Coach Barnes was a great coach man He He’s uh definitely a guy that will go at you Uh definitely a guy that’s going to tell you the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth Um but he’s a competitor and I think I can share that with him He wants to win just like I do Um I think he taught me how to kind of stay composed Um he taught me to kind of stick it out and to go hard every play Um and he taught me a lot of uh being able to do a lot of film work is is important for me So I was able to learn a lot from him He’s a Hall of Fame coach You know I love that guy you know you’re doing a lot of these workouts Do you ever kind of picture your fit with any of these teams or you just kind of going through the process no obviously of course man You know you just you kind of look at I mean for me personally I look at a bunch of uh you know film stuff and how they play coaching staff uh front office stuff you know the execs that are coming in the execs that are going out what players and how they fit with with their style Um and see if it’s the same way as I fit Um I want to just you know find the best fit possible Um and I feel like there’s a lot of NBA teams that like the way that I play and enjoy the way that I play Um so I want to just be able to be with somebody that’s going to value that and is going to cherish that and and grow that as I try to become the best player I can be
