[Music] let’s talk about it i just got back from the gym and you go to the gym to have a short painful process that turns into something positive afterwards the dallas mavericks right now are doing the painful process that i don’t know will lead into anything positive basically with this jason kid thing the knicks still have not officially requested to interview jason kidd but it’s been rumored all over the place and you’re like well okay this is just a media story the the press keeps going back and forth you got espn saying this you got you guys on your show saying this and all over the place there’s just it’s just rumors and it’s all mediated driven narrative okay well why aren’t the rockets going through this right now why aren’t people talking about the rockets why isn’t stephen a smith talking about the rockets coaching vacancy like he did on first take today even though jason the kid still has two more years left on his contract because they shut it down right away they said “no new york knicks we’re going to rumor and float this rumor back that we would shut down any request to interview eime odoka.” the mavericks have not done that they’ve only had this one like kind of flimsy loose report from mark stein that says people close to the to to the situation say that ultimately the dallas mavericks well it’s it’s it’s too many like if this if this then maybe these people say they think that this that that this may happen it’s like okay just come out and say he’s your coach and so then how is this going to end okay how could it end positively for anybody could end positively for jason kidd he could use this as some kind of leverage play say “hey i you know was going to go take i was going to go interview for the knicks but i’m i’m loyal to you guys if you guys sign me to another to another deal i won’t i won’t do this and won’t say that i i’ll go out and do this and then i’m sure he has dirt and leverage and all kinds of stuff.” he could get an extension he’s got two more years left but couple more years with stability after this front office is doesn’t have ownership’s like full trust right now you could also have the mavericks look at jason kidd and go “well you kind of had one foot out the door so why would we put all of our trust in you?” jason kidd could say “well you guys didn’t immediately shut down the nick’s request to interview for me rumor.” and so now we’re both stuck with like “all right one foot out the door for both of them.” and i can hear a lot of you just saying just move on from both of them and start over but here’s where we are it’s a painful weird process guess the maps could have shut it down and they just still
