Magic SIGNING Incoming? – Orlando LINKED to Nickeil Alexander-Walker | Magic News
this would be a steal for the Orlando Magic as we all know they are going to be buyers in this offseason or they’re at least going to try to get some offensiveminded players to add to the Arsenal that this team already has to continue their push which is now in a win now organizational mode guys we’re talking about recent reports coming out saying that this team could be a potential target for Nquille Alexander Walker maybe it’s a mutual decision maybe it is something that is just one-sided we’re going to get into what some of these recent reports are saying today and about how aggressive this Magic team is going to be in the offseason but first guys welcome to Magic Digest it’s been a minute it’s been about five days or so since I made a video so uh welcome back uh I’m your host Patrick Previty as always this is your onetop shop for Orlando Magic basketball content here on YouTube we’ve seen some really great growth on this channel so as always thank you guys so much for the support now 30% of you guys are subscribed or watching these videos regularly but 71% of you guys aren’t so let’s and that adds up to 101% let’s just keep it to the exact math that you see on the screen and forget what I’m saying just make sure that you guys subscribe it’s the easiest and best way to support the channel here at Magic Digest okay let’s get into it this comes from Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report just starting to lay the foundation and I think as we all know maybe the cap situation isn’t as positive as it was last season but he still thinks that Orlando was another team to watch uh he really does i’ve heard a ton of buzz so far they’re clearly making calls and seem to be a team that’s going to be a factor on the guard market they’ve got a couple scenarios to make trades to open up the full mid-level exception they’ve got a lot of wide They got a lot of wide range of salaries above the mid-level below 30 million around 30 million to package together to go out and make any number of moves so obviously this is really important that this team is going to have to continue to remain flexible if they are going to want to target a player like Nikil Alexander Walker or any of the different guards that we have talked about before now as far as what this team is in the market for I think for the most part this team is has a lot of different types of players and anytime I recommend a certain player I feel like it’s always stepping on somebody who’s already on the roster but we got to recognize that there’s going to be some turnover there’s going to be some other guys leaving if you were to add a player like Nquille Alexander Walker so if you add him or if you add a guy like Trey Young or any of the other bigger names that we’ve talked about that would probably be in place for some of the guys that are already on this team so it’s just about weighing your options which is going to be better for us to win next season you know the Boston Celtics aren’t going to be uh what they were in the past few years and then obviously you’re going against the Indiana Pacers the New York Knicks Detroit Pistons i’m probably forgetting a team off the top of my head but we’re n we’re going against those teams next year uh in the Eastern Conference can an addition like this um be a net positive if we have to give up some other players and make this salary cap work i think it’s very interesting obviously Jake Fischer of Bleach Report thinks so and thinks that this Magic Front Office will be aggressive now another report that I kind of also wanted to back this up with was coming from Mark Stein talking specifically about Nikil Alexander Walker next season’s full level full mid-level exception will be worth more than three times that Alexander Walker made last season at $14.1 million with rumbles already in circulation that Orlando is a team to watch as a potential suitor so obviously both of them think that there’s a connection there with Nikquil Alexander Walker and I can see it um but I’m kind of more deferring to what you guys might think of this because I’m a little bit like I just don’t know after everything I’ve just said if that is going to be a net positive or something that really pushes us over the edge now obviously both of these articles will be linked down below so you guys can check them out they are kind of more so p this is one piece to the puzzle in a sense of the the role player kind of driven off seasonason that some potential NBA insiders think that the Orlando Magic are going to have right it’s not going to be star centered it’s going to be more centered around some of the role players Alexander Walker would be one of them so when we’re thinking about that net positive just as you know in the same sense that I might not think that it’s going to be a net positive uh we also have to remember that it’s going to be an addition with a couple of other pieces uh let’s take a look at what he ended up doing last year for the Timberwolves um he ended up averaging 9.4 points per game 3.2 rebounds 2.7 assists 44% from the field 38% from three obviously that’s we what we love shot 47% on corner threes last year and he’s going to be 27 uh probably at some point uh during next season and he’s 6’5 obviously going to play that two guard position but can handle the rock and do and you know bring the ball up the court if we were to need that i don’t think we really would considering we would add him to the fold and we wouldn’t really have to give up a guy like Jaylen Suggs and I know you guys don’t want to give up Jayen Suggs but we probably wouldn’t have to give up any of the other ball handling guards that we do have on this roster such as Anthony Black maybe Cole Anthony would be um in a little bit of danger here but I still don’t really think so i think that this is more of a plug-and-play kind of guy you know just through a vacuum in a sense uh I’d have to definitely ask Timberwolves fans how they are feeling about his impending uh free agency obviously that is going to be a big point of emphasis for this team they’re going to be focusing on for the Timberwolves perspective uh making sure that they can bring back Julius Randall Nas Reed those are probably their biggest question marks going into the offseason how high up the totem pole or the priority list is Nil Alexander Walker probably not as high as uh those two guys cuz that’s obviously trying to keep their core together making sure that they have another competitive few years uh while Anthony Edwards is you know still being an amazing player just as he is and they’re trying to make another conference finals let’s get further than five games in the conference finals so they want to bring back that core they want to be able to do what they can do to potentially win now Nail Alexander Walker drafted 17th in 2019 NBA draft obviously probably looking for a little bit more from from him but I definitely think he’s a very good player and somebody that this Orlando Magic team can add to the fold and you know I think this this would be an improvement if you know we don’t have to give up too much to potentially get him as far as the salary cap situation is concerned now the reason for the Magic to sign him this is also included in one of the articles kind of going over a lot of what I have said before but I kind of read this out and just see exactly what you guys might think obviously at the very end here it does mention the Julius Randall and Nas Reed aspect of it that is something that they’re going to try to retain um and you know they definitely don’t want Alexander Walker to go to another team in the Western Conference that is trying to contend it def it definitely looks like he will probably try to go to a team that is going to contend in a sense they want him to rather go to the Eastern Conference orlando Magic last season 35.3 point attempts per game that was 23rd in the NBA we all know how bad they shot uh from three last year 11.2 uh three-pointers made per game last year that was last in the NBA 31.8% from beyond the arc last in the NBA that was the last uh I believe in the last eight years in the NBA uh I don’t have that number off the top of my head but I’ve definitely mentioned it in multiple other videos just how bad we all know and are aware uh here’s the rundown for Alexander Walker ideal shooting guard to come off the bench capable of providing solid on ball defense against point guards due to his height game intelligence and quickness he’s also a fairly competent three-point shooter which would address one of Orlando’s weaknesses from last season now definitely not the best player that we have talked about in this off seasonason and in this offseason series uh I would love to know what you guys think is this a player that you would like to add to this team maybe uh in addition to using those two picks or being able to package those two picks to get somebody else onto the squad if you add a guy like Nikil Alexander Walker do you then try to go for a front court presence rather than somebody in the back court probably in that sense right and you maybe don’t use those two picks on a guy if you do keep them that’s in the back court and you try to go for the front court see if you could get a front court scoreer to pair along with maybe a window Carter Jr or Jonathan Isaac uh where does Bataz fit in all that that was definitely you know this is we’re four or five steps ahead but that is definitely something that this Orlando Magic team is going to have to weigh but I asked you guys a ton of different questions in this uh in this video uh so you guys can choose to address any which one of them or whatever direction that you want to go but let me know what you guys think down below uh in the comments section as always I will see you guys next time with more Orlando Magic basketball content

I finally subbed up because it seems you don't wanna talk basketball with non subscribers 😂
What do you guys think about Caris Levert? I feel like he can give us 10-15 points coming off the bench, and he is an unrestricted free agent this year.
He's basically a younger version of KCP, I like him, but we should shoot higher. I think Gary Trent Jr. would provide a more dangerous three point threat.
