so could the Denver Nuggets be trading away Michael Porter Jr to the Brooklyn Nets this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayworld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Denver Nuggets receiving Ruie Hatchima Dalton Connect and the number eight overall draft pick this year the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Nick Claxton and the Brooklyn Nets receiving Michael Porter Jr and a 2025 55th overall draft pick so just kind of breaking this trade down this is actually a tremendous trade for the Nuggets to make now in this scenario they’d be losing out of Michael Porter Jr obviously that’s not ideal but if you’re able to get back Ruie Hatchima and Dalton Connect plus the eighth overall draft pick this year this is tremendous value and if you’re a Denver Nuggets fan one thing that your team’s sort of lacking right now and was pretty evident in the playoff round against Oklahoma City is just the lack of depth this team has to compete with some other powerhouse teams in the Western Conference so this trade makes their team deeper and they also get a first round draft pick that’s pretty high in a pretty deep draft all things considered here so they get three assets for one who by the way little injury-prone a little sketchy moving forward so I think this is a tremendous trade for the Nuggets to make in my opinion if you’re the Lakers you’re not giving up that much in theory i really had Shimmer Dalton connect and a second round draft pick for a player in Nick Claxton that kind of solves your starting center problems for them which is obviously a big need for them ever since the Mark Williams trade fell short at the 2025 NBA trade deadline so positionally speaking this is an upgrade for the Lakers and Nick Claxton truthfully pretty good player now the Brooklyn Nets on paper get the best player in this deal like when MPJ’s at his best he is the best player in this deal i sort of worry about availability and also them giving up some pretty valuable um assets like uh you know the number eight overall draft pick this year and Nick Claxton is a pretty steep price to pay uh for someone like Michael Porter Jr in my opinion now does he make this team better sure uh could this potentially lead for another trade down the road like maybe they go after someone like Zion for instance absolutely but in my opinion the Nets don’t get that much better and they kind of give the Nuggets quite a bit especially the Lakers two in this case quite a bit in return for a player that I don’t think moves the needle that much in my personal opinion so if I had to rank this trade one to three I would say the Nuggets win this no doubt the Lakers too and the Brooklyn Nets third those are just my thoughts leave yours down below
