something that you love to have against the Tigers keep their guys off base it’s a tough lineup to see one swing and a miss by McKinstry threw a sweeper away one ball and one strike pitch well against loses his helmet will make it to third standing up now Ryan O’Harn left our field of view and was having some issues playing it in the right field corner so McKinstry he pulls up into third base and it is his sixth triple of the year he might be left-handed but McKinstry knows how to handle himself against Southpaws it was actually a clean pickup by Ryan O’Harn but it was out in the right field corner near the garage and then it was not the best relay throw which came in povich to the plate misses upstairs to Wal Perez one and0 the Orioles have got the infield in with the second hitter getting a triple mckinstra a few steps off of third and foul ground as Povich delivers and is one hits the inside edge for a strike one ball and one strike against Perez hitting at 294 three homers and four driven in he’s a switch hitter and a very good defensive outfield one the count the next pitch curve ball stays low and the count is two balls and a strike so the Tigers they do a little bit of everything well their bullpen has been especially good over the last couple of weeks two and one the next offering and it’s skyed in right field coming towards the line is O’Harn he’s under it he the play and he delivers a strike at the top part of the zone a bounce back that I think a lot of people across baseball didn’t see coming he’s hitting at 270 six homers and 30 driven in 01 a strike at the knees and it’s no balls two strikes yeah I would say if you were to rank some of the worst long-term deals in the history of baseball a few months ago you would have probably put Jav Bayz in the top 10 02 bounced in the dirt a ball two strikes now I don’t think any GM is signing up for the deal even with Bayz having a nice season so far but he’s trying to salvage it and more importantly he’s an important ball player on a really good club one two pitch grounded foul over to the third base dugout i mean he has used his athleticism and become a very valuable utility player for Detroit but the offensive uptick has been good he’s still a hitter who will chase a lot his production has improved one two chase there and a change in the dirt rutman picks it throws down to first to reason maybe it’s just getting more comfortable with his pitch arsenal and realizing what works the best the strikeouts have really gone up now on his last five starts he has struck out a total of 35 the pitch home breaking ball in the dirt one ball and no strikes and strikeouts are kind of a double-edged sword it’s nice to keep guys off base but it also can raise your pitch count at times oh it’s does it again for Detroit backto back innings backto back innings with runs coming with two outs and Detroit leads it 3-1 that was the bloop of bloops but when you get a guy on second base that matters a lot totally jammed perfectly placed and now a three to one Detroit lead tigers two for three in this game with runners in scoring position now and here’s Torlson who’s gone 0 for two the pitch farlson chops it foul into the third base dugout at the very least and Brett you talked about how the arsenal for Gibson Long has some pitches that can get you out but Sir Gibson Long has not pitched very much this year last year being lost due to injuries the old one high one ball and one strike still getting stretched out and went through the ups and downs the last time that he pitched against the White Socks so maybe for the Orioles they’re going to be able to break through against him 1-1 hit in the air foul first base side and Torqulson behind of the count one and two one and two of the plate cowser stretched the arm up but it just was out of his grasp and his glove came off of his hand as it went over the 410 marker right near where Dominguez is warming up that would have matched I think what we saw last night in Anaheim that would have been so special but just out of the reach of Colton Cowser and at times for Povich it can look so easy and then here we go again four runs on two outs in the last two frames against Povich yeah this has Brett a very similar feeling to what happened in his last start here against St louis so good at the start and then problems at the end of the outing so Mckinstry is up now 5-1 Detroit as the pitch home low on a sweeper one ball and no strikes you see the stuff because you see the strikeouts and you see the swing and miss but then you look up at the scoreboard and more often than not he’s just around five innings and the other team’s winning outside on this 10 two balls and no strikes and feels like that was pitch number 95 this is going to be the last batter that Povich sees two and0 the next offering and it’s poured in for a strike to Zack McKinstry two and one if Jordan Westber is Tony Mansley to describe as the glue guy for the Orioles McKinstry is probably that for the Tigers 2-1 outside three and one plays so many different positions he is one of the best left on left hitters in the game as well in the driver’s
